+ -1 moreInitially emailed James at Eurosonic to ask about cleaning 11 mini blinds - he returned my email with a quote the same day, and I was able to set up an appointment to have them do the work. They came and took down all the blinds and had them back to me within a few days (was having my windows replaced so did not require a quick turn around). Blinds came back very clean - they installed all the ones they could (still had workers finishing work on windows). Eurosonic provided excellent service - friendly interaction, good pricing, great turnaround time and they did a great job!

+ -1 morePick up and delivery were a little late, but all in one day. My main criticism was that small tufts of material appeared in the blinds panels after the cleaning. They would not come out with vacuuming. The company offered to redo them, but I didn't want to go through the whole scheduling-pick-up-delivery cycle again, so decided to live with the tiny tufts. They are only visible from close up.
Description of Work: Two sets of vertical blinds were cleaned.

+ -1 moreThe blinds were destroyed during cleaning. Attempts to repair were not acceptable. The reason for the review is the crappy way the entire team at Eurosonic handled this incident. This morning it took 3 separate conversations with 2 extremely rude people to basically be told I purchased "cheap blinds that were worthless at this point". Up until now, I was more than willing to work with Eurosonic to reach a fair and equitable solution to replace my blinds. Nothing in there contract releases Eurosonic from liability from damage. However, it is very clear to me that the owner and staff are more interested in insulting customers than actually offering superior customer service. I'm shocked that they can still be listed as a preferred service on Angie's list. To thank the Eurosonic team for both the time wasted (numerous emails sent, visits to the store to get info, zero follow up on commitments unless I chased), as well as the deplorable attitudes and shady way of doing business, I'll be posting my experience on all social media outlets. THANKS FOR NOTHING!
Description of Work: I took 2 honeycomb cellular shades in for cleaning on 5/21. Told I could have them back the same day if I paid CASH. I agreed to do so for same day service. Eurosonic had cleaned similar shades for two different rooms in the past 6 months, and had done a great job

+ 0 moreI had a problem with the original contractor who was supposed to install the blinds, so I was was looking for someone who will just do the installation. They were very nice, very professional, they did a clean work and cleaned up afterwards. They have adjusted the length of the blinds rails although it wasn't part of their "job description" (they have charged for it, but that's fair), and overall were very nice and did a very good job.
Description of Work: They have installed my PVC vertical blinds which I had purchased somewhere else. I had 8 headrails to install directly to concrete ceiling.

+ -1 moreI called on Sept 6th and set up an appointment for the 12th to come out and fix my blinds. He sent the wrong people and did not ask the right questions to have the right people come out to fix this. When I talked to James about this problem and to rebook. He was very rude and told me to take my business elsewhere. My husband called him and he was rude again and cursed him out and hung up.
Description of Work: I had them come out to fix my blinds but they are hardwired and they could not take them back with them.

+ -1 moreEuroSonic picked up the blind on Monday morning and returned it repaired the same afternoon. The blind required restringing in (2) places. Scheduling was a little difficult as they were very busy and I had to request an email confirmation of the appointment and quote, but overall they did a great job and the blind is working great.

+ -1 moreCalled and guy who answered was kind of rude. Scheduled appointment anyway. Day of appointment, they called and said we really don't want to come out to fix two blinds (they were too busy). Why did they say they were gonna come out and then cancel the same day they were going to come out. Not professional.

+ 0 moreThey came in the morning, removed them and returned them the same day. I was impressed that they washed the blinds until they were clean! And they called and let me know that during the inspection they found some cords needed replacing.. I authorized that, but they were amazing.. Came when scheduled, returned when scheduled and then apologized for a delay of 30 minutes on the return beyond the time set due to traffic. The blinds look brand new and I was so impressed they have a client for life!!!! They were very professional,prompt, polite, clearly care about the product they produce. I would highly recommend them!!!!!

Glenn showed up early in the morning and took down all the blinds, being careful to label each blind's placement in my house and to package them with care for transfer to their shop for cleaning and repair. Later in the same day Glenn showed up with the blinds clean and ready to reinstall. He made sure all the brackets worked properly and held the blind tightly and that all the wands were working to open and close the blinds. I was totally satisfied! Same day service was so wonderful in this case. Who wants to wait overnight to have your blinds back and working? I appreciated that James, the person in the shop who did the majority of the repairs, called me before delivery of the blinds to tell me what he had done to fix the blinds. Glenn was persistent in his taking down the blinds and then in reinstalling them. These are old blinds with little quirks and bent brackets. He patiently worked his way through all eleven blinds and got them back to functioning like new. I will definitely use this service again!
Description of Work: I recently moved into a house in Glencoe with eleven fairly old floor-to-ceiling Levolor mini-blinds. Some were missing wands; many wands would barely twist to open and close the blinds. Some of the brackets at the top of the windows were loose. I asked that the blinds be cleaned, but above all that they be repaired so that the brackets were tight and the blinds would open and close with ease.

+ 0 moreI had used Eurosonic before with my aluminum shades. They had done a good job then and so I thought I'd try them again to clean my duofold shades. The crew was professional and courteous. Out of ten shades, however, four required special treatment because the sunshine had disintegrated the glue backing and the shade didn't hold up in the wash. To their credit Eurosonic repaired the blinds as best they could at no cost to me and were quite apologetic, taking time to explain the problem and being very conscientious about my satisfaction when they returned them to me. Although they did a good job cleaning and repairing the shades, the four repaired shades I had to replace and at considerable cost to me. The lesson for me is to not use this cleaning method again for this type of shade; Eurosonic, on the other hand, I'd use again.

+ 0 moreIt went fine overall. The workers were picked up the blinds on time and returned them within their estimated time frame. The only complaint I could possibly register is that a few of the slats were bent when the blinds were returned, but this might be something to be expected since the blinds were 20 years old.
Description of Work: Eurosonic came to my home, took down 18-19 blinds for cleaning and some minor repairs. One blind needed to be restrung. Several others need new control wands to open and close the blinds. They did the necessary work and returned the blinds and replaced them the same day. The above date provided for when the service was performed is simply a guess. I have no recollection of the date except that it was within the last few years.

Description of Work: Eurosonic advertises itself as a company that repairs all makes of blinds, so I called to ask about the repair of some broken strings and cord locks on my Levolor blinds. They told me to bring them in so I did, a one and a half hour round trip journey by bus. They looked at the blinds and told me they'd be done the next day. Later that day the man who took my blinds called and told me that the blinds needed new cord locks and that they didn't have the parts, but the boss was going to do "some research" to see if they could find replacement cord locks. A few days later I called them and the same man said the boss was still looking for the parts but it was a problem since that line of blinds was discontinued. I was able to find replacement cord locks online within five minutes of searching and tried to tell him the website URL but he wasn't interested, saying they only buy from certain suppliers. These weren't antique Victorian blinds, they were Levolors that were about 8 years old. A few days later he again called me back and told me to come pick up the blinds because they weren't able to get the parts. When he tried to explain yet again that the blinds were discontinued and the parts weren't available, I said that I was able to find the correct parts in just a few minutes and I'm not even in the business. "Well maybe you should get into the business" was his reply. This is customer service at its absolute worst. They weren't even willing to do a rudimentary online search to find the parts that I was so easily able to find, despite the fact that I'd traveled far on the guarantee that they'd be able to fix my blinds. A total disappointment.
