When I first started having companies come out and look to refinish and add hardwoods to the bedrooms...I was told it couldn't be matched and every company told me it was around 16,000 to do the whole house and I couldn't preserve my vintage oak floors...I contacted EU and they came out and were able to not only save my vintage oak floors but match my floors for the bedroom! And they saved me 8,000 in overall cost! I highly recommend this company! They were fast, efficient, and reliable! I give them 5 stars!!!

I cannot recommend E U Hardwood Floors enough. It has been the most pleasant experience I have had with a company in a long time. The work was absolutely the best. The price was extremely reasonable and Totally professional from first contact until the work was completed. Afterwards the owner followed up to be sure I was completely satisfied and stopped by to be sure himself that there were no flaws - If you want a true professional that does the best work I have ever seen call E U Hardware - I am going to use them again for more floor work myself. We bought our house with oak floors throughout, in a bad condition. They came after the estimate and they did all the repairs, sanding and painting in three days our floors looked amazing, like new. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

I wanted to have them install flooring I was going to purchase and the installation quote they gave me was extremely high so I did not work with them.

My floor surface was unevened, and had some big gaps. The original house owner had the floor put down in a rush, and wood floor was contracted and expanded unevenly. Cornel didn't try to sell me new floor, and told me the wood was very high quality and refinish the floor would make it look new again. I appreciate his honesty and professional opinion. He used good quality materials, there was no significant odor after the job was done.He was punctuate and attention to details. One suggestion, I wish he could have educated me better regarding to the dustless sanding. Although the machine captured most of the dust, but the cabinets in the kitchen all had dust on the surface and inside. Had to clean all of the cabinets and rewash all of the dinnerware. This intense and time consuming labor work could easily been avoid by covering up the cabinets with plastic sheets before sanding the floor. Overall Cornel did a very good job, I am very happy with the result. Thanks again.

I would like to respond to the provider's comment that he has tried to contact us many times: Neither of our cell phones nor our house phone indicate that a call was ever made from this provider.

He made the recommendation that the hardwood floor needed a more in depth treatment for it to look its best ,but was not high pressure about it. In fact, the floor does need a very heavy sanding and re-staining and I had to agree with him. But, for the price of the special, the floor will look good for the holidays which is what I'm aiming for right now. I would use this company again, for sure. When its time to get the full sanding and staining I will certainly consider this company again.

it didn't. They never did the work

The initial meeting and appointment went very well and communication was clear. Arrival was prompt on the day of the work and the work was completed efficiently and with minimal disturbance to the rest of the house. Clean up and care of furniture etc was excellent. I give a "B" for a few reasons. I feel that the sanding did not get as far into corners or as far under cabinets as I had expected based on my research. Painted cabinetry was not taped to protect from flooring sealant. More importantly, in our initial conversations we had agreed that the color would not match the previous color or the neighboring floors exactly, and I was fine with that. But on the day the match was less good than I expected, so we had a conversation and tried some different things. Through this process I felt rushed, as if the contractors just wanted to get the job done. When I suggested trying to visit the very nearby paint store to see if there was a better matching stain, I was ignored. The job finished around 2:30, so it's not like there was insufficient time to try something more. So overall, it was an OK but not great job.

He arrived thirty minutes after the appointed time. However, once there, he was straightforward about pricing, was honest about what options that I had and their prices, along with what each would and would not do. He was courteous and did a fine job. He even texted back later to make sure that I was satisfied with the work after it had dried. Although I was not quite ready with the furniture due to a mix-up over when he planned to be there, he offered to and helped move a few large pieces of furniture without complaint. I would definitely use him again.

I don't know where to start. I reviewed several companies prior to selecting this one. EU quote was not the lowest, but it was something about Cornel that resonated with me. And I know, cheaper is not always better. From my first phone call to schedule an estimate on 8/17 to end of project, he impressed me. He was punctual, knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to answer all of my questions, before and during the process. His follow-up skills are impeccable. After sanding the floors he showed me different stains to select from. He made recommendations and assisted me with selecting. He was definitely on point, the floors appearance has a nice dark rich look. I never thought my floors could ever be this beautiful after years of carpet. After finishing the floors, my little dog managed to get loose, there were paw prints in the hallway and in the foyer, along with my footprint from trying to catch her. I called Cornel in a panic, he came back and took care of it. If you are thinking of installing or refinishing your floors, look no further. This is definitely the company to use. He's easily accessible via phone and/or text message. When I'm ready to refinish the LR/DR, I will definitely call him. Not only do I have beautiful floors, I now have my own personal contact for hardwood flooring needs. Cornel, thanks for a job well done! I purchased the $199 special to sand, stain and polish my hardwood floors in a 10x10 kitchen and an adjoining 8x20 dining room. The installer called me promptly and we scheduled an appointment. The installer arrived promptly and after measuring the rooms he quoted us $600 or $700 to complete the work. We declined the quote, and he sanded and waxed the floors for the Angie's List price. We purchased a similar deal in the past from another provider for $199, and the floors looked fantastic. The work performed by this provider was definitely not the same quality. I was not impressed at all with the floors, but I guess we got what we paid for. I wouldn't recommend this Angie's List deal, unless you clearly understand the cost per square foot , and what is included.

The persons performing the hardware refinishing were always punctual and the level of professionalism was always apparent. In addition, they were always willing to take whatever steps were needed to please us. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

Told me he could resand them and recoat the floor. He was a real nice guy. I just decided I would rather have a new floor than to have this done.

The job went very well. They moved all of the furniture out of the house and into the garage for us and moved it all back when the floors were finished. We were very impressed by the quality of the work and how easy it was to work with them. I would highly recommend EU floors and would use them again if the need ever arises.
