Yesterday I was leaving work I realized I couldn’t find my car key anywhere. I wondered if it was back in the office so I went back and looked everywhere but couldn’t find it. Finally I went to my car and looked inside and there I found my keys sitting on the car seat. I was both relieved and upset at the same time because I couldn’t believe I had left my keys in the car. I was relieved though because at least I knew where they were. I didn’t really know what to do at that point so I called a friend and asked if they had any suggestions on who I could call for this. My friend said that she, in the past, had used ET Locksmith and that Eli was great. She gave me the number and I called, Eli was able to get to my car fairly quickly, which was great because it was a little cold and I just wanted to get into my car. Eli was able to open the car door and get the keys out. I was so relieved after that. Eli was wonderful and I am very happy that he came by to help me out, and the price was fair.

He was right on time. In & out very quickly. Professional. As an added bonus he was able to match the new re-keyed lock to my existing lock.

Eli was the only one that was able to get us the product we wanted set up the way we wanted. He spent a lot of time going over all the possible options with my wife and I. He even let us keep a sample of one of the locks without paying for it so we could look it over and figure out which metal finish was best. He was quick, proffesional and did everything he said he would.

First of all, when I called to make an appointment, there was no problem scheduling Eli to come to do the work a few days later, at the time that was convenient for us. On the day of the service, he called to give us a better estimate of when he would arrive, which was appreciated. Eli showed up, took a look at the locks, and went right to work. We intended to just re-key all the locks, but one of the locks required a change because it did not have a thumb-lock, and he recommended changing to a thumb-lock (which our inspector had suggested as well). He went right to work, re-keying all the necessary locks and installing the one new lock. He then went to work on a combination-style lock, and managed to figure out the old combo and change it to a new one. The job took several hours, I believe, but he was efficient and helpful through the whole process. In fact, my parents and parents-in-law were hovering over him most of the time, and he was a great sport about that! My father-in-law is quite a character, and Eli had a great sense of humor and went right along with my father-in-law's antics! He also took the time to explain how to use a somewhat unusual lock system that one of the doors had. He gave us the Angie's List discount, and the overall cost was reasonable for the work he did. We were very happy with Eli, and would definitely use him again. Great work, and a pleasure to work with.

Eli came out and gave us the initial estimate which was very competitive. I also liked that the same person doing the estimate would also be doing the work. He is the owner and can negotiate on price a bit. After getting several estimates I felt most comfortable with Eli and also liked his price. He knew what he was talking about and didn't try to sell me anything beyond what I was looking for. I was however looking for very high end and high security locks. I was trying to decide between Medeco and Mul-T-Lok, the 2 big names in high security. I had previously had Medeco in my condo and read and heard a lot of good things about Mul-T-Lok. Eli preferred Mul-T-Lok and explained to me why. I was satisfied with his explanation and decided to go with Mul-T-Lok. After about a week (he had to order the locks in the colors we wanted) he came out Thanksgiving morning to install the locks which was fine with us since we weren't doing anything until later in the day. He brought along someone he was training and they proceeded to get to work. They installed 5 deadbolts that he provided and also installed a new door handle I had for my front door along with 4 knobs that I had already purchased. It was a relatively uneventful installation and proceeded smoothly. It did take a bit longer than I thought but I'd rather have it done right and not rushed. The locks are installed and work great. I am very happy with them and how smoothly they work. I only wish every other person I dealt with on my remodel was as efficient and decent.

We just bought a house, and wished to make all the exterior entry locks keyed the same -- and different than they were before we owned it! I called and they were available to do the work right away. They gave me a projected arrival time of '2 to 4 PM'. At 1PM, my phone rang -- it was the locksmith, calling to check that all was still fine and to let us know they'd be arriving sharp at 2. Eli and an employee showed up precisely on time, and looked at the locks and doors, then sat down with us and went over costs, and what grade/kind of lock we wanted in each location. After the job was specced, Eli left and the employee did most of the work; when he ran into trouble, he called his boss and they both worked on a trickier problem until it was resolved. Everything took rather longer to do than I thought it might (mostly because of the unexpected complication -- old houses can be like that sometimes), but they were cheerful and professional throughout. All the locks work perfectly.

I made the call around 11am and Eli showed up around 2pm earlier than projected, which we liked. He worked diligently, professionally and quietly and helped with a few touch up issues with the door handles just to be nice. Only draw back was that it was much more expensive than I thought it would be - but then I have no knowledge of what prices should be. We would use Eli again and recommend him.

So it's Halloween night and we're handing out candy on the front steps. The wife's purse gets stolen right out from under us, and the house keys were in there, along with driver's license, cash and credit cards. So, of course the thief knows where we live. I immediately called ET and they quoted me what turned out to be a very accurate price. Fifteen minutes later, he was here working on the locks. He finished all five locks in under 45 minutes. Before he left, he had me test the keys in all the locks to insure they worked fine. Everything was left clean and tidy. I recommend ET Locksmith and Security without hesitation.

It went well. I was given 3 options to resolve my problem. The first two were less expensive but the final one made the most sense (because I had a very old lock with a skeleton key). Option 3 was to replace the lock and hardware. Once I made the decision, everything was done cleanly with a great amount of precision. Although I hate that I had the problem, I want to use the company again to replace my remaining old locks the same way as they did here.

They came out on short notice on a Sunday and changed 5 locks. I would definitely use them again.

After calling ET, I was told I could expect someone within an hour window and sure enough Eli was there right on time. He quickly was able to tell me my options for replacing the deadbolt (one higher-priced option) but was honest in telling me that I didn't need the more expensive lock. He was able to replace the deadbolt and re-key it so that I didn't have to replace any of the keys (and so that I could avoid having 3 other locks re-keyed in order to have them open with the same key). In the end, the price was fair and he asked me where I found him. When I told him Angie's List, he asked why I didn't have the 15% off coupon that was being offered and I told him I had simply forgotten to print it off. So he gave me the discount anyway! I didn't even have to ask! I would definitely use ET Locksmith and Security again.

ET Locksmith was fantastic! I had been waiting for another company to arrive for 3 hours and had no response after numerous calls. I found ET Locksmith on Angie's List and called. Eli answered the call and was at my home within an hour of my call! I was amazed. I thought I'd have to make an appointment for the following day. He arrived on time, was very professional and courteous. He fixed the lock in no time. He was able to repair the lock without replacing it. I was so pleased with his service that I will recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank you for having him on your list! I am one satisfied customer!

Eli was on time, very professional, took care of the business and left us some additional tips about future options.

We just moved in and wanted Eli to change the locks on the front and back doors, plus change out the front door hardware to allow exit without a key. Eli was very responsive and faster than I needed him to be -- he showed up in 30 minutes at 6:00pm on a Saturday. He worked quickly and professionally. He installed the hardware and offered to come back later in the week to switch it out for a color that matched, no extra charge. When I forgot about that, he made sure to follow up. Very good service, and he is also very friendly. His charge for parts was on the high side, but labor costs were extremely reasonable, and he honored the Angie's discount. Recommended!

Eli contacted me directly and apologized for using a sub-contractor - he even offered the service for free but I now have someone to repair it.

I submitted an online request for a callback at 10pm and Eli called me back almost immediately. (Yay! Someone who can talk on my schedule!) We arranged an appointment for a couple days later (not because he couldn't get here sooner, but because it worked better for me), and Eli arrived right in the middle of the time window we had agreed upon. Eli replaced the cylinder in our sliding patio door because the old one was nearly impossible to get our keys into and out of. Pretty straightforward, but he did a great job and made sure I tested it to be sure it worked well. Because we bought the cylinder from him, the lock is guaranteed. Our front door deadlock was not aligned with the strike in the doorframe and required us to really push the door to engage the deadlock. As a result, we had barely used the deadlock for the two weeks that we'd lived in the house. The strike had previously been moved and Eli explained why it couldn't be moved again. Eli gave me three options: Leave the strike as is and just push the door when engaging the deadlock (i.e., no repair), shave the strike slightly (compromising the level of security a bit), or replacing the strike all together. I opted to have him replace it and he used a new strike that engages the deadlock into a metal box rather than just into the doorframe. He said it's more secure and, to me, it appears to be much more secure. Finally, Eli rekeyed both locks on our front door as well as the basement door, so now we have one key for the front door and one for both back doors. I really appreciated that Eli took the time to explain things to me and suggested solutions to things like making the patio door more secure. He was here for two hours and I don't think either of us anticipated it would take that long, but he didn't seem impatient or in a hurry to leave. I was also pleasantly surprised that Eli's service call fee was only $29 -- I know I've read reviews for other locksmiths who charge upwards of $80 for a service call. I'll definitely be calling Eli if we need any locksmith services in the future.

Eli is great! He is promptly responsive to messages, and very accommodating in scheduling. He arrived promptly, and got right to work. As he worked, my insatiable curiosity kept asking questions, and he never skipped a beat, continuing to complete his work, while teaching me about locks, and about safety. He was very informative, making options very clear, and leaving the decision-making up to me. I was very pleased with his work, attitude, and overall demeanor.
