My home was built during the 1940s, and only one lock had ever been replaced, so I wasn't sure what issues the locksmith would encounter. I called to make an appointment, and they were able to easily accommodate my schedule. They indicated the locksmith would be at my home between 12:00 and 2:00, and he would call prior to arrival. And, true to word, the locksmith called about 11:45 to say he would be at the house at 12:00. I had wanted all four locks to work with a single key. However, because one lock had recently been replaced and was made by a different manufacturer, I wound up with one key for the three old locks, and one for the replaced lock, which wasn't a problem. There was an extra $6 charge. (again, no problem!) The locksmith was very efficient, patient, and professional, and took care to ensure we understood what the issues were. Both times I spoke with the home office, they, too, were very friendly, and all service was true to their word. Would I use them again? YES!

When Jasmine answered my call I knew I was with the right company. She knows a lot about locks and gave me excellent information on the phone. She set up a service call around my schedule. My tech was Alex and I couldn't have been more pleased with his work. The 3 point lock was working; the latch had broken off. Instead of trying to sell me a very expensive replacement he removed the latch (very intensive and time consuming work) and now the lock works perfectly. He also keyed that lock. While he was there I showed him a deadbolt lock that has been serviced by other companies before but still did not work correctly. He immediately diagnosed the problem and chiselled the wood frame to insert a plate. Because there had not been a plate before the deadbolt would move around and frequently stick. It now works perfectly. They accepted an Angis List coupon of 12% discount. This is one of the best service providers I have ever used.

It went great. After changing all four locks Istvan matched all four locks to use only one key. I went from needing four keys to one key. He was very nice and professional. The person on the phone was also very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again. They gave me a 12% Angie's List discount.

We placed a call to set up an appointment and the phone rep was pleasant and knowledgeable. They gave a 2 hour window for the appointment and relayed that the locksmith would call to inform us that they would be on their way. On the day of the appointment, we did receive a call and per phone call, the locksmith arrived exactly on time. Lance, the locksmith, was extremely professional, knowledgeable and offered useful information and answered all of our questions. He got to work right away, and we felt that the service call was completed in a very efficient manner. Lance also provided us with a quote for another service and was very prompt in getting that quote to us soon after the service call. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations, the pricing was a good value, and Lance was a complete professional. We will gladly work with this company again.

From the call to Valerie at the office to the technician, Harley, it was a great experience. I had another locksmith work on the exact door knob about a year ago because I thought I was getting a good deal. But after the issue I review the ratings in Angie's List and ET Locksmith & Security had hundreds of positive reviews. I was not disappointed and would highly recommend.

Something was wrong with our lock, it was malfunctioning. He suggested that I change it. I didn't go with what he was saying because the service was just for him to come out. He gave me an option of me purchasing a lock and him installing it. I don't remember how much he said but I didn't go with it because I could change the lock myself. I thought it was something that wouldn't include him changing the lock. The price was a little too much. They didn't do anything so I can't tell how to grade quality. They could have included the service call with the actual price for labor other than having the labor different from the service call. Basically what I paid them to do was to come out, then estimate the problem.

The door was installed and worked fine however I noticed the light bulb was no longer working on the garage door operator after the installation(this was not a big deal). The big deal is that the garage door has already dented where it hits the ground when closed. It has only been 1 week and there is a noticeable dent. I am not satisfied and wish I didn't go with the "deal" company.

Nick was courteous, on time, polite and very helpful. He answered my questions and made a slight adjustment to the way the lock sat inside the door.

Our appt. went very well. Istvan was courteous and professional. He did wonderful work and was quick as well. He was patient in going over options for a new lock we had installed on our basement door. We chose a deadbolt that matched the existing house door hardware perfectly. He was tidy and didn't leave a mess. Definitely recommend ET Locksmith and Security.

Arrived early, worked quickly, even took the time to reverse the door knob locks which were originally installed upside down. This is second time I've used them and I've been 100% satisfied both times.

Very well. We appreciated that they understood city code to make sure we had the correct locks. They stopped out, learned they needed an extra part to complete the job. The left and were back within 30 minutes to complete the work. The technician even took the time to make the right calls to make sure I received best pricing. The city came by later, inspected the lock and had no issues. We highly recommend them to others.

They were prompt in coming on time. Because the door was an older wider door it needed a wrap around, new door handle and dead bolt installation. The parts were ordered ahead of time for the installation on a Saturday. The installer came to realize that the wrong handle was ordered for the door. There was no one to bring it to him so he had to drive all the way back to the company in Chicago and get the correct part. Because of this, I had to leave him alone in my home while he installed the correct handle. I arrived a few hours later and he was just leaving. So, I had no interaction to make sure the door locked easily and properly. I did not and they came out to fix the problem that following Monday, January 25, 2016. I checked to make sure the door locked easily and properly before the installer left. Everything was ok. However, on that Tuesday after arriving home from work I noticed my front screen door was ajar. I tried to shut it but could not because the new handle was at the same level as the screen handle and so it did not allow me to close the front screen door securely. I called the company that Friday and they said the installer would do "research" on the problem and get back to me. They wanted to charge me $39.00 to come out again to fix this problem. I think they should have known as professionals to check to make sure the screen door handle and the front door handle do not prevent one from properly shutting the door. I felt they wanted to put this liability on me because some how I was supposed to know that the screen door handle should not have met the front door handle not enabling me to properly shut the door. There is no way I could have known this because when I shut the front door, it just opened the screen door without me knowing. I paid a lot of money for this service. Remind me not to use this company again!

Mostly the work was fine but one door ended up with the bit of wood around the deadbolt plate broken and now I can forever see just a bit of the bolt inside the door.

They came and measured the door and told me I needed a different size. The 7 foot was too tall for my garage. We set up an appointment for the install, and the tech was on time. It took a couple of hours, and I had a new garage door. He took all of the debris, and he did a great job. I would gladly use this company again.

Called provider to assist with a locked chest of drawers. They were not able to assist. Not sure why Angie's List keeps hounding me for a review. Grr.

ET Locksmith came out the same day I called, I need the locks changed due to miss placed keys. Due to their quick response, we can sleep better tonight. I have used them before with good success, I will use them again. Thanks.

My tenant called to say that the lock on his front door wasn't working. I called ET and they got a technician to come out on Saturday so I didn't have to take off work to meet them. It turned out that my tenant was at home so I didn't have to come but it was nice to know they are available on weekends. Plus they don't charge an additional fee to come out after hours. It all went smoothly. They technician called me to let me know that he was on his way so I could let the tenant know. He took my debit card info over the phone when he was finished and then emailed me a receipt. I've used them quite a few times and been really pleased with their service. Delete review

They are professional and show up on time. I have a a busy schedule and they always call me 30 minutes before as promised so I can meet them on site. They even saved my money by showing me how to rekey mailboxes so I don't have to use them for that each new tenant.
