Empirical A/V

Jim was FANTASTIC!! He was diligent, knowledgeable, and walked us through everything from planning to completion. His level of detail on what he was doing, how he would charge, and what he did for the entire project was very thorough to say the least. The overall project was a theater room as well as the entire first floor in room sound. Jim's recommendations on how to configure and his solutions worked out perfectly and helped with out to find lower cost more effective solutions to get what we needed. In addition to the sound, Jim was able to set up all of our data lines and coax since our home was new construction. Entire home works well. I cant say enough about Jim and his professionalism and attention to detail. Once completed, he even put together a comprehensive document detailing and explaining all of the work, how the system works, basic trouble shooting and all of the functions of the equipment. This "how-to" guide is invaluable for me but more importantly for my wife and how she is able to use the entire system as well without any confusion. I would HIGHLY recommend Jim and Empirical A/V for any in home installation.

Honest, trustworthy and responsive.

I hired this agency to replace an amplifier and connect my old speakers to my computer, television, CD/DVD to the speakers, including wireless and hard wiring connections. Bob worked a long time -- over nine hours over three days -- but could not connect my PC to the speakers through wireless connection. Everything was connected through bluetooth or hard wire, but what I really wanted was a wireless connection to my PC. He charged me $75/hr for two hours work, although he spent over nine hours trying to solve the problem, so that was fair.

Jim was amazing! I sent him pictures of the receiver I owned and he gave me feedback and options on if I wanted to upgrade for better use. He picked it up for me and brought the new one when he set up my surround sound and brought the receipt and didn t charge me extra for the receiver. He walked me through everything and even sent me a follow up email with instructions. Needless to say, I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Very helpful and did great job saved us money

I worked with Jim to do an install for my surround sound but I wanted to do it as cheap as possible because my budget was tight. Others gave me much more expensive estimates but Jim came over and found creative, cheaper ways to do it with much nicer results. Jim gave me an estimate about 1/2 others gave me. When Jim did the job though, it ended up being more complicated than it looked because of how my house is set up. A 2 hour job took 8 hours with Jim working as hard as possible and no fault of his own. He gave me the option to try out and redo multiple configurations until I got the perfect result. I'm so happy of the result. Jim refused to charge me any more than the initial quote eventhough it took 4 times as long. JIM is great and takes so much pride in his work. He is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone!

Great design and really enjoyed working with Jim!

Jim is the ultimate provider of exceptional service. He contacted me to find out what I wanted and then checked my space to see if it could accommodate. He then provided me with options. He helped me select the hardware to create surround sound. Lastly, he spent a full day putting in mounted TV with surround sound. He made sure that everything met my needs prior to him leaving. My family room looks great. And he was the most cost effective. Look at no one else and go with Jim.

He took great care to ensure the TVs were properly mounted on the wall, and the color was properly calibrated. He was on time and very clean and organized. He was also very thorough in explaining what he was planning to do. We are very satisfied with the work that he did.
