+ -1 moreMike repaired the alternator and at the same time called me to explain that it would be prudent to also replace the fan while the area was disassembled. Actually the fan had been making noise. He could have up-charged me a lot as I had read that was an expensive item of repair. He did not as it was only nominal. The real compliment is on the brakes. The short story is the brake line ruptured. To replace it the line had to be replaced which was internal to the frame. Projected cost $ 1100, which I authorized and was prepared to pay. The end, $ 350 fixed. This company would have easily charged $1100 and while it would have been painful, I would have paid it. This facility is not only competent and professional but they are HONEST and reliable.
Description of Work: Have Land Rover 2005 which had many issues. Had alternator and brake issues, but at different times.

+ -1 moreAfter my dealer service agreement expired on my new car , I returned to Ek's which has been our trustworthy neighborhood auto shop for many years. As before, I was treated courteously and professionally. Besides the convenience, I especially appreciated the patience given in explaining what would be an appropriate maintenance schedule for my car. Aside from the auto service, I am impressed by Steve Ek's involvement in the community as a businessman.
Description of Work: 30,000 miles maintenance and oil change.

+ -1 moreTHEY TOLD ME ALL 4 BRAKES WERE BAD, AND MY CAR CAME OUT IN WORSE SHAPE THAN WHEN IT WENT IN, FOR $515. THEN THEY TOLD ME I NEED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER FOR $333, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAD AIR IN THE SYSTEM BECAUSE EK HADN'T DRAINED IT PROPERLY. I FEEL LIKE THEY REALLY ARE TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME AND GOUGE ME. I WOULDN'T USE THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: HIRED THEM TO REPAIR A BRAKE PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED THE DISC BRAKES AND FLUSHED THE BRAKE SYSTEM.
