I spoke with John Eifler by phone. The phone conversation was a positive experience, he was very professional, listened carefully to the details of the project, etc. We set a date to meet for him to look at our home and discuss the project further. Due to scheduling conflicts on both our parts, the date we set was 2-3 weeks out from the date of our original phone conversation, which was fine. He never showed up for the appointment. Given it was a Saturday, the office was closed, but I did leave a voice mail for him questioning if there had been some mix-up. He never returned the call, nor did anyone from the firm call. That is no way to start off a professional relationship, so we will be looking elsewhere.

I missed the appointment, but my wife met with John Eifler who showed up on time as scheduled. According to my wife, John seemed disinterested from the beginning to work with us. He made comments like ''This would have been a good project for me when I was 4 or 5 years out of college'', and ''Why didn't you call AirRoom''? Overall, it seemed this project (which we expect to pay $100-250,000) was far beneath him. I finally showed to the appointment a 1/2 hour late, and he was already gone. We've met with at least 3 other architects in the past week, and they've all stayed for an hour or more. I will never recommend him to anyone.
