It was a complete waste of money. I thought they were going to come out and do some general roof maintenance. We had an area on the roof that was leaking. There was water damage in our ceiling. He gave me two or three estimates for roof work and he basically left. He didn't do any maintenance work. He was responsive in coming out initially.

Very professional, but also very honest that couldn't see the problem. Patched some spaces near the corners of the roof where it met the building. A few weeks later, after heavy rainfall, still having leaking issues. The patches didn't work.

Mykola is wonderful! He explains what you need, why you need it, and gives you a progress report at every stage. He does not repair anything that does not need repairing. I found him to be very punctual and professional. In fact, my neighbor, who was watching as my repair work was being done, was so impressed that he had Mykola do some work for him! I have recommended Mykola to a few others and they have been extremely pleased with the work he provided. Mykola takes pride in his work. Therefore, the results will always meet or exceed your expectations! He will be my "go to" guy from now on! My search for a good roofer/tuck pointer is, thankfully, finally over!

We bought an 1887 house in 2011, and were shocked at all the roof problems that arose shortly after our move-in. As new problems arose, From April 2012-August 2012, Myk would fix each section as they arose. As well, many times he'd give us the 'heads up' that we had an issue in a particular area. After awhile, we realized that we needed to listen to him, and fix the problems PRIOR to water pouring into our house. (He has a very good eye, and can spot problems when they are not yet evident to an owner). Myk from Eck and Sons is one of the most conscientious, meticulous, efficient, and creative contractors I've ever worked with. He always provided us with pictures, and took the time to explain every issue in detail, so that we were clear on what work would be done, and why it would be done. (So we saw 'before' and 'after' shots, plus we walked the roof with him several times). Further, he was creative. He would brainstorm different options for repair, and I loved his way of thinking! He'd go above and beyond to come up with creative solutions whenever that was possible. He insisted on using only the best products, and we are grateful for that. He would rather turn down work, than to do a 'band-aid' solution. To him, long-lasting results (and thus, his reputation) are top priority. Not only would I recommend Myk for any of these services, but I'd also be happy to talk with anyone who is considering working with him. Feel free to respond to this post and I'll explain the experiences in more detail. By the way, his work and results deserve the price that he charges. I'm only giving it a 'B' because it's not a bargain. Rather, it's a legitimate and well-deserved price. If you want a 'bargain', go elsewhere. If you want to work with someone who will go the extra mile to keep your house safe, dry, and properly repaired/built, then Myk is your guy!

I was very unhappy. I felt like he was trying to get a bigger job by ignoring the extra work at first. He didn’t take any money for the initial job and left.

Working with Eck and Sons was a super experience. My home is 70 years old and they discussed all the problems with my current roof and what needed to be done to repair it. They explained their plan in detail and offered a very reasonable price. Since I don't go on the roof very often, The owner sent me photographs of what was done each day and what they would be addressing the next day. I felt very involved in the work this way. The downspout and baskets had to be replaced. He also told me that the roof should be vented, which it had not been done previously. I am thrilled with the work they did. The quality and timing was superior. It is nice to be in my home and know that the roof will not fall in on me again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a really great experience in reroofing their home.
