EARTH MAGIC PAINTING & REMODELING

Description of Work: Painted 4 rooms, installed a new upstairs washer and dryer, plus various smaller handyman type jobs that I had around the house.

Description of Work: Earth Magic painted the interior of our house and patched some dry wall. My original impression of Sebastian was very positive, as he was responsive, knowledgeable and and the price was very good; however, we were disappointed by the quality of work, the lack of attention to detail and the length of time the job took. It was scheduled to take about a week, possibly a day longer. It took two weeks and most of the work got rushed into the last two days(they worked until 10 the last night because they had another job the next day). We were told the bedrooms would be painted in the first few days and to move things away from the walls; however, no rooms were painted at that time and little work had been done. We had them put up a chair rail in one of the rooms and they painted the room after putting up the chair rail and got a lot of the paint on the chair rail itself so the line was very messy. We had them come back and fix this and it didn't look much better so we ended up fixing it ourselves. Sebastian was willing to come back and fix whatever was needed, but I was very disappointed in the quality of the work the first time around and Sebastian's lack of attention to detail when he inspected the work. When he gave me a quote, he indicated that he does this all the time so may see things that I don't so made suggestions on certain touch ups on the ceilings and in other areas. I expected that same attention to detail when the work was completed and didn't get it and it has made me question whether some of the touch up work was even completed. For instance, I know we discussed touching up the entry way, and it was only later that I realized the entryway was not touched. I think Sebastian himself probably does a good job, but he was not at our house much and the quality of the work suffered. He was willing to fix anything we asked him to fix, but at some point, we were tired of the back and forth and decided we would just handle the rest ourselves

Description of Work: I used Earth Magic Painting & Remodeling and they removed wall paper, prepped the walls, and painted it.

Description of Work: High-rise shared hallway remodeling project. Removed wallpaper; wall and ceiling prep; painted walls/ceiling/trim; installed new baseboards & light fixtures.

Description of Work: Full kitchen remodel included refinishing the existing kitchen cabinets (stripping layers of paint & refinishing inside and out); rerouting plumbing for new faucet wall installation; demolishing the top ½ of the wall/cabinets to create a breakfast bar (including bracing for new granite countertops/bfast bar); installing new cabinet hardware; rerouting telephone wires; move light switches/rewiring to install 3 recessed lights in the soffit above new breakfast bar & new LED lights under the cabinets; install new outlets; installing new glass backsplash; installing all new appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, refridgerator, oven, and new above-oven microwave); reinstalling baseboards; repainting.

Description of Work: Earth Magic Painting & Remodeling painted several rooms in our house.

Description of Work: The project involved fairly extensive and challenging remodeling/repair and painting work for a newly purchased 1,300 sqft condo unit that hadn't been updated in at least 25 years. An old auxiliary HVAC system was removed, new baseboards were installed throughout, old thermostat units were removed and holes in the wall repaired. Generally, the walls and ceilings all needed VERY extensive repair work before the entire condo unit could be painted from top to bottom (walls, ceilings, inside closets etc). All of this work was to be completed in an extremely short timeframe of 1-week in order to meet a move-in deadline.

Description of Work: Built a new wall and a closet in a previously empty space; designed and installed shelving unit within it; tiled the floor inside it; rewired and installed the light and the switch for the closet; rewired and installed power outlet; painted interior and exterior walls of the closet.

Description of Work: Interior painting on most rooms in our house, including trim & doors. Also miscellaneous handyman type tasks, including resealing (grout and caulk) a shower and bathtub, repairing a fireplace flue and several closet doors, repairing a doorknob.
