Description of Work: I contracted with E&B Masonry to demolish my front porch and rebuild the wing walls and pour new concrete steps. They gave me a start date of the third week in July. Mike called on Thursday of the second week and said they could start the next day. They showed up as promised and started demolition on the front porch. They completed building the new wing walls and the forms for the steps on Saturday. On Monday the new steps were poured and the debris hauled away. They also did quite a bit of tuckpointing on both sides of the porch. The new porch looks great. I am very satisfied with the work and would recommend E&B Masonry to anyone needing masonry work done. The work was done for a reasonable price.

Description of Work: E&B tuck pointed front stairs as well as put a skim coat on the steps and finished by caulking and sealing all areas. |Eddie did a great job. He quoted it quickly and did exactly what he said he was going to do. No complaints at all.

+ 2 moreWork from E&B was excellent! They arrived on schedule and finished the work in two days. The raised walk looks great and will provide a curb to keep the water away from the building (the walk was tilted towards the house). Eddie was very responsive in my request to fix the coping on the roof. The wind must have recently blown off the aluminum coping and Eddie noticed during this repair to the walkway. I appreciate this because I did not have to call another contractor in.
Description of Work: Break up concrete walk and remove fencing along alley and re-pour new walk that is 6 inches higher. Add a curb so any rain will flow into the alley and not towards the house. Replace fencing around walk. Fix missing coping on roof.

I am please with the service and the job.

+ 0 moreWhen I reviewed the work with Eddie he was very attentive about details and what was needed to be fixed. The condition of the building caused violations with City of Chicago building inspector. So I wanted someone who will perform the fix the 1st time without multiple inspector visits. Eddie work was great! he removed and rebuilt two chimneys in one day and they looked great. Then I had Eddie wait until some carpenter work before continuing masonry work. A wooden roof had to be removed so he can brick up three open windows. He matched the brick and mortar so well you can't tell there where window opening where. The rest of the tuck pointing and clay tile replacement took another two days. But the best result is the city inspector marked all violations as properly fixed! With Eddie working around my repair schedule and his quality of his work I would definitely use Eddie in the future.
Description of Work: Rebuild two brick chimneys, tuck point three sides of two flat building, brick up three unused window openings, replace broken or missing clay coping tiles and tuck point around the garage door.
