DURAGLAZE PORCELAIN REFINISHING

I hired Duraglaze to reglaze 4 tubs in two properties in 2006. So far, two of the four tubs require reglazing. The warranty is for 5 years. Duraglaze claims that since we did not notify them immediately that the tub requires another reglazing they did not honor the warranty. This is not specifically stated in the warranty so the warranty is worthless. We tried to communicate the problem with them but they ignored our request for warranty work and just claimed that we called them too late. They would not even meet us halfway and tried to charge us a late fee on payment on work that should have cost us nothing. Even though the tub was under warranty they required that we pay full price for another reglazing. I would avoid this company at all costs since their quality of work is horrible and mislead you with a warranty unless you want to pay for one job twice!!

Ok. It was done in a reasonably quick, neat fashion. A couple of days later we noticed black flecks in the tub and called; they came back and touched it up saying that was normal (dust had settled). We are very happy with the work.

THEY WERE GREAT. THEY CAME EXACTLY AS SCHEDULED, COVERED EVERYTHING GREATLY, PROMPT, EFFICIENT, CLEANED UP, AND THE BATHTUB LOOKS GREAT.

The arrival time was supposed to be between 9 am-10 am and he didn't get to our house until 11:15 am. He didn't make any apologies for being late. I was dissatisfied with their customer service, but they did a nice job and he taped up the tub. However, he didn't come back to replace the drain cap on or remove the paper. When I called and spoke to Gale, she said a return visit wasn't included in the price. The work was done on April 18 and they told me I have a 5 warranty, but I haven't received any paperwork in the mail.

The representative who took order by phone was extremely pleasant and made sure we had an estimator at our home that same evening. The work was begun the next day and on time and they returned to correct some minor deficiencies.

We had gotten bids on removing our only bathtub and installing a new one. We were having house-guest for 3 weeks and I wanted to do something quickly. I had to talk my husband into re-glazing instead of replacing and he is amazed at the difference. From my first contact with the company, they were very professional and seemed to take pride in their work. I found out later that it is a family owned business. Mark was a little late but called as it is confusing to locate our house. He covered everything in the bathroom and worked from the minute he arrived until leaving. The tub is beautiful! It was money well spent 10 times over. Mark also gave us advice on which product to use for the caulking and for cleaning. We have recommended this company to our friends.

They did an excellent job. They worked us into a very tight schedule so they could accommodate our needs.

Bathtub looks brand new! Mike and Wayne were professional, courteous, and efficient.

I phoned and left a very clear message with all of my contact information, but my call went unreturned.

I was extremely satisfied with Mike's work. It was very comfortable to be in the house, while he was working. He was efficient, polite, and highly skilled. I will call on Duraglaze again in the future because the tub looks great.

Mike did an excellent job reglazing the tub. It looks brand new! He made sure everything was clean and no glaze/paint landed on anything other than the tub. There was a charge that I didn't expect. I was quoted $285 for the job, but Mike said it was an additional $65 to strip the old glaze from the tub. The company should have explained that this charge was a possibility.

Company representatives were courteous & prompt. The work performed was stellar including full prep work.

Tech. came out (I believe his name was Mike) to strip and re-glaze an old cast iron tub. Not only did he do an excellent job, he also informed us of some problems he discovered with the tub's drain. Another tech, Wayne, came out a week later to sand out some of the grittiness on the tub. He noted the tub wasn't caulked and that my husband still hadn't replaced the drain cover. Not only did he caulk the entire tub, he fixed the drain cover - and didn't charge us a penny. This company is very professional and takes the time to make sure the job performed will last.

They did a very nice job re-glazing the tub, and they did the job on quick notice. The area was well covered in tape and craft paper, and there was no damage to the surrounding area. After glazing, they came back to buff away some of the grittiness.

THE WORKER ARRIVED ON TIME AND TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF MY BATHROOM. SINCE HE SPRAYED THE ENAMEL FINISH ON THE TUB, HE COVERED PRACTICALLY EVERY OTHER INCH OF MY BATH IN CRAFT PAPER AND TAPE, SO EVERYTHING WAS PROTECTED. THE 1921 TUB LOOKS NEW, AND I CAN TELL HE DID A MUCH BETTER JOB THAN THE REFINISHER I USED SEVERAL YEARS AGO. GOOD CLEAN UP, TOO.

GAIL ANSWERED THE PHONE AND WAS PLEASANT. SHE EXPLAINED WHAT REGLAZING THE TUB WOULD ENTAIL AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. MIKE SHOWED UP WITHIN THE SCHEDULED TIME RANGE. REGLAZING TOOK ABOUT 4 HOURS. AFTER WAITING 2 DAYS FOR THE TUB TO DRY, I FOUND THAT THE TUB SURFACE WAS GRITTY, NOT SMOOTH. I CALLED GAIL, WHO SENT SOMEONE OUT A FEW DAYS LATER TO WET SAND THE TUB. NOW IT'S FINE. I'D REHIRE THIS COMPANY, BUT WOULD TRY ANOTHER COMPANY FIRST, AS HAVING THE GRITTY FINISH REPAIRED REQUIRED ME TO TAKE ADDITIONAL TIME OFF WORK.

MIKE, THE TECHNICIAN, FIXED THE WATER FLOW PROBLEM IN THE TUB AND ALSO REMOVED THE DRAIN CAP FOR ME. HE EVEN RECOMMENDED THE FAUCET SHOP TO FIND A REPLACEMENT DRAIN CAP. HE DID AN AWESOME JOB; I AM SELLING THE HOUSE AND RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLIMENTS ON THE TUB FINISH. THIS COMPANY IS A WINNER.

GREAT ALL AROUND... THEY EVEN RETURNED TO FIX MY ERROR FOR FREE!

GOOD WORK, VERY FAST AND EFFICIENT. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
