+ -1 moreRick was prompt in coming out to look at the windows. He picked them up as appointed. The restoration took less time than I had expected and the windows look terrific.
Description of Work: Rick removed five stained glass windows, boarded up the frames. Drehobl cleaned, reinforced and mended the glass, and then replaced the windows.

DREHOBL ART GLASS has a supply of old glass and was therefore able to perfectly match the broken glass to the rest of the window. They completed the work in the timeframe established and at the price agreed upon. I highly recommend this vendor.
Description of Work: A stained glass window in our 80 year old building was significantly damaged in a storm. Both the lead frame and many of the glass pieces were broken. We took the window in to have it fully repaired.

+ -1 moreI had to get the windows to their shop and pick them up. They took about three weeks to do the work, which I didn't expect, but they would have told me this on the phone if I had asked. We probably should have boarded the windows, but we made do with plastic, so we were a bit chilly. They did a really nice job, including replacing panes with older glass, so it would be "wavy" and match what was there. The store is full of gorgeous examples of their work. They are meticulous, and also were nice about helping me load and unload windows from the car, which was tricky. The windows look great! Now their neighbors look grimy, but we'll take those in as we can afford to, every summer until all our windows get restored.
Description of Work: Repaired and restored two stained glass windows from our 1908 two flat. Stained glass windows may or may not be as old as the house, but had been poorly maintained. I took the worst ones in first and plan to take more every summer. These two had buckling, panes falling out, cracked panes and needed to be re-caulked around the edges.

+ -1 moreThey work carefully, neatly and quietly. It took quite a while to get the two windows from the living room out of the wall, due to many years of paint and caulk. They were able to match most cracked pieces from their inventory of old glass. The windows look like new, and I am assured they will stay that way for many, many years.
Description of Work: We had five stained glass windows restored. Over time, stained glass windows buckle and sometimes the glass cracks; they start to look bad, and air gets through the cracks. In our job, each panel was removed and plywood put in its place. They took the panels to their shop, flattened the glass, replaced cracked pieces, reglued (or whatever the term is), and brought them back and reinstalled them.
