DL flooring

Hiring DL Flooring, mainly Elias, was a big mistake. After receiving a price quote from Elias without him actually seeing the floor to avoid, "wasting time" one of my first questions was whether or not we should tape off our baseboards that were recently painted. His answer was a firm no, and that only a few touch ups would be needed after he was finished refinishing the wood floors. It took Elias about a day and an hour to complete the job. The entire process was rushed, and the final result reflected that. Not only were all of the baseboards scuffled from his sander, but polyurethane was ALL OVER every inch of the baseboards at least half way up. There was also scuff marks and polyurethane on the walls as well. Obviously I was not happy with this because I specifically asked if the baseboards needed to be taped and he said no and only minor touch ups would be needed afterwards. I called Elias the day after the job was completed, and he offered no solution or assistance on how to remedy his major mess ups. His only response was, "we are not liable for baseboards." Obviously we were not pleased with this response, and he finally said, "I don't care. I am blocking you number." And he then blocked my number. Unfortunately, I made my payment the night that the job was completed, and wasn't able to walk on the floor and therefore was not able to investigate the job done in greater detail. This is definitely a lesson learned for the future. DL Flooring and more specifically Elias is totally unprofessional and non-responsive. We are now forced to buy new baseboards due to Elias totally damaging them beyond repair. No solution or assistance was offered by Elias, only a blocked number. I totally regret hiring him and would never again. I suggest you stay away from DL Flooring at all costs. Because it will end up costing you in the end.
