Diligent Painting & Remodeling

Ben and his team of two painters were able to complete all but two rooms in my 3 Bed/2 Bath condo within a day and a half. Given the detailed trim and crown molding I have throughout, precision was required, and I was impressed with their ability to work quickly without any "painting outside the lines." Ben was even careful to go through the house before they left to ensure that any spots where coverage was too light were corrected. He was helpful with color selections and was able to exactly match the trim for any touchups needed (I could have spent 15 days testing all the versions of ivory myself to no avail). Would definitely recommend Diligent to anyone needing an interior paint job.

Ben is probably the most down to earth person in the business. I had several bids on a small ceiling and trim paint job and his was by far the lowest. When I met Ben and explained that we are on a shoestring budget thanks to having two kids in daycare, he immediately started giving me practical DIY tips for doing some of the painting in our new home ourselves, along with options that are safe for kids. We truly appreciated that! The painting he did looks beautiful and he was in and out in less than a day. We are definitely having him back to price out some additional areas of our home that need painting.

I really want to give them an A. The price was good and I was comfortable having the crew in my home. However, I spent DAYS cleaning up after they left. There were paint drops and little white paint dots everywhere - on the floor, cabinets, TV and TV stand, bathroom mirror, sink - literally everywhere. E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E. We also had to do quite a bit of touch up where wall color got on the ceiling or baseboard or areas were missed. A few areas could have been prepped better before painting. It seemed like they rushed for some reason leaving us with an ok, but not great job. The estimate was paragraph form in email - which was a little confusing as to what was and was not included in the job. Based on other reviews online though, it seems like our experience is in the minority.

Ben and his team were absolutely amazing. Ben was quick to come out to provide estimate and within hours I had the pricing quoted in my email. He clearly knows this business and was able to address all of our concerns during our initial meeting. I am a perfectionist and my big fear with hiring a painter via Yelp is the fact that you can't accurately SEE their work before you hire them. Ben and his team did the seams via hand, and were skilled enough they didn't even need to tape. The seams are PERFECT. No complaints whatsoever. Ben and his crew arrived promptly at 9am and wrapped up within minutes of the final estimated time. Once again, proving that they know this business in and out. I'm excited that I finally have a and quot;go-to-guyand quot; and look forward to new home painting projects. I will upload a couple pictures, but they simply won't do their work justice. Trust me when I tell you these walls look absolutely awesome!

We liked Ben, he was very friendly but was an and quot;email/text messageand quot; guy, which didn't please my husband. You couldn't ever get a hold of him on the phone. He definitely gave us the lowest price, but after the work was done he had to come back three times to repaint places either entirely missed or already bubbling, and he seemed to get frustrated with us making him come back. It's been only four years but my husband had to repaint the bathroom due to the paint blistering from the humidity, which we had concerns about, and Ben said it wouldn't be an issue.

The contractor was very professional and polite and he did excellent, careful work. The price he quoted us included materials and was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. We were very happy with the work he did and would definitely use him again.

The owner was professional and gave us a very competitive estimate. They completed the work on time and did a quality job.

Ben is highly professional and personable. He came by to go over the work within a day or two of when I called him. Everything I needed done was something he has done before and he offered many ideas for cutting costs and improving quality. We agreed on cost and he began work within a few days. He always came as scheduled, works with a partner -Joe - and they work very hard. Ben is always conscious of his client and very accomodating. He kindly added on many chores (moving some heavy furniture, refinishing a glass paneled door, etc.) and made excellent referrals for other projects like refinishing a wood floor and installing carpets. Ben has already finished a second project on basement repair and is now working on kitchen wall/ceiling repair and painting with faux finishes. His work is of the absolute best quality, prices are great, he is full of ideas and it is an absolute pleasure to work with him.
