 + -1 moreWE HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE OF OTHER ARCHITECTS ON OTHER, SIMILAR JOBS. THIS WAS A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. HER FLAIR SEEMS TO BE MORE ON INTERIOR DESIGN, BUT WE WILL NOT BE USING HER FOR ANY OF THIS BECAUSE SHE SEEMED TO JUST BE INTENT ON DRIVING UP THE BILL.
Description of Work: SURVEYED HOUSE; DREW UP 3 SUGGESTED PLANS FOR UPSTAIRS REMODELING AND BASEMENT DIG OUT AND FINISHING. DREW UP PLANS AND DETAILED BID DOCUMENTS. TOOK 6 MONTHS FOR WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 2 MONTHS OF WORK. DELAYED THE BEGINNING OF OUR PROJECT WAY PAST OUR EARLY SPRING TARGET, MEANING WE WERE LATE IN LOOKING FOR CONTRACTORS. SEEMED TO BE TARGETING A CERTAIN DOLLAR AMOUNT WITH HER BILLING, IN THAT THINGS WE DESCRIBED IN DETAIL CAME BACK DIFFERENT AND REQUIRED MORE CHANGES IN HER PLANS - PUSHING UP THE BILL. DID NOT LISTEN TO SOME SPECIFIC CONCERNS OF OURS, DELAYING THINGS. DID NOT CHECK VARIOUS CHICAGO CODE ISSUES RELATING TO DIGGING OUT OF BASEMENT, SUCH AS THE REQUIREMENT TO GIVE 30 DAYS NOTICE TO A NEIGHBOR - MEANING WE COULDN'T START PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS IN TIME. JUST SLOW SLOW SLOW.
