Deljo Heating & Cooling

My heat went out on one of the Sundays where the high temperature was 0 and the wind chill was -30. I placed a call to the company on Sunday afternoon and received a call at 7:15 a.m. Monday. They set up an appointment for between the hours of 10-12 the same day. I received a call at 8:45 that morning from the technician and he was on his way. He replaced my ignitor in very little time. The service was extremely timely, priced as expected, and very professional. I appreciate that they responded so quickly and got my heat working beautifully.

I've used Deljo for years. I am a gold star customer and use Deljo for my residence and investment property. They are very responsive and prompt and most importantly, they are able to fix the problem. I had an emergency last week where my tenants were not getting heat. Gregory happened to be in the area and was there within 5 minutes and fixed the problem immediately. I also have positive feedback for Albert (or Alberto - I don't remember his exact name) and a third which I can't remember his name at all. All were very informative and polite and professional.

They do quality work and explain why the product is supposed to work and carry away the water. He was very personable, thorough, efficient and knowledgeable.

From the beginning the salesman Brian was extraordinary. He explained different heating systems and was able to estimate exactly what my house would need as far as the sizes of both the furnace and air conditioner. He took a look around the house before he even came in to see the layout of the house and our neighbor's property. He gave me a ballpark figure which was very close to the end quote. This was good because I was interviewing other heating companies the same day. I talked to my brothers as far as what they thought because they are in the field but far away. Brian called my brother who is an expert in heating in California. My brother knew that the man knew what he was talking about. Then the installers showed up. Marlon was the main man and Lucas was his assistant. I don't think I have ever seen such professionalism. My house is not the cleanest on the block but they treated it like a palace. They covered the floors and cleaned up after themselves. They were so respectful. The furnace looks like a fine piece of furniture. They had to build some vents and they fit everything together so well. If you want a professional job done safely, the right stuff and a guarantee that they will do it right the first time, hire them. You won't have any callbacks. So many people think they can get by with handymen and Home Depot. If someone came in for half the price, I wouldn't trust them. Deljo cares. From Brian's sales call to their their fine working men. Not once but several times they went over all the safety issues.

We have had several problems with the heating system and have had to have them 3 times for the same problem. I am questioning the level of service that I am receiving. This is the first year of service with them.

My heat had gone out, so the following day I called Deljo to schedule an appointment. I requested an evening appointment and the woman on the phone explained in detail the costs associated with an overtime service call. Ralph, the technician, showed up shortly after 5:00 pm as scheduled. He was very polite, even removing his boots before walking on my carpet. The job itself was very simple, the mechanism that senses when the system is running had become dirty and needed to be cleaned in order for the furnace to function properly. Ralph cleaned the part and even showed me how to access it myself in case it needs cleaning in the future. He stayed a few more minutes to make sure the system was running properly. In total, the service call took about 15 minutes. Ralph was very polite and professional throughout the time he spent in my house and impressed me by taking that extra step to explain how I could solve this problem myself in the future.

Serviceman was prompt, courteous and efficient. Knew what he was doing, and explained everything to me. Because it was Saturday there was a $119.00 service charge. A small price to pay for the peace of mind it brought.

I thought that they were fantastic. They showed up on time. They accommodated me in a short period of time. He explained what he was doing while he was doing it. They were very friendly. He was willing to entertain my questions. He was very professional.

I had thought I had booked an appointment for Tuesday, but when I called Tuesday morning to confirm, they did not have it in their books. I know myself well enough to know that it was possible that it was my fault, so I didn't push it too much, but to my surprise, they were able to fit me in, which was greatly appreciated. Rudy and an assistant showed up promptly and got right to work. They explained relevant information along the way and couldn't have been more pleasant and professional. I ended up buying the annual contract to have them come back out in the Spring for the AC. All in all, a great experience.

Saul was very prompt, professional, and friendly. Only minor complaint is the company was a little slow to respond by email when I was trying to schedule.

Very good. Some other service company suggested replacing all tubing. Deljo Heating Service said to unplug pipe instead.

I called Deljo on Saturday morning to see if they could look at our broken water heater. They informed me that they could come out on Sunday but Sunday service is about $180 for the first half hour and $80 for each additional 15 minutes (just to look at the problem). Even though this sounded a little pricey, their Angie's List reputation convinced me that it would not take long and it would be worth it. They said a tech would be at our house between 9 and 11 AM and he would call when he was on his way. Unfortunately, no one ever showed up. I called shortly after 11 AM. The lady on the phone said she would have the technician call me. He called back 15 minutes later and said that he was already at a job and he had another one after that. He said he would be there sometime after 2 PM but he couldn't give me a range. My complaint is that if you know that you can't make it on time, you should call and let the customer know so they don't have to sit around and wait. The tech knew that he had at least two jobs before mine so he should have known pretty early on that he wouldn't be able to make it on time. It would also have been nice to have received some sort of apology for the missed appointment. I understand that it was a cold Sunday, but please have the courtesy in the future to make a short phone call to your customers so they know the appointment will be missed.

Ralph was fantastic! He spent the time to try to figure out from which piece of duct work there was enough "give" to allow the air pressure to cause the noise. I believe it required a small fix in 3 different places. He was determined to fix it (contrary to the tech who had come a week or so earlier), assuming the problem existed in the furnace room and not in a sealed wall somewhere in the house. He made sure that at least while he was here, we did not hear the sound again. THANK YOU RALPH!

I was very pleased and preferred them to another company I had found on Angie's List and used last year.

With Deljo, we got the job done at a reasonable price within 48 hours from the time I placed the call. When I called to explain the situation (at around 10am), I was told someone would call me right back. Vivian called within 15 minutes. After checking availability of who she considered the right person for the job, she called back to schedule an appointment for the next day. (Before calling Deljo, I placed a call to another heating company we have used in the past, but they did not return my call until 4:00pm.) Jeff arrived promptly at 9:00am. (Vivian was right -- he was perfect for the job.) After assessing the situation, he gave me a couple of options, but actually recommended the less expensive plan. Once he checked availability, he called to schedule the job for 9:00am the next morning. Steve came out, and did an outstanding job! We will definitely use Deljo again!

Everything went well, they technician was on time and professional.

Deljo was able to perform the service in a timely manner. The technician was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem. He also informed us that the furnace filters that we were using weren't appropriate for the age of our furnace.

The service man arrived on time at the first location. He cleaned the furnace and checked it's operation. He then installed the new thermostat. He advised me the furnace was operating well, but I should be aware that it was getting old. I was aware that it was the original furnace when I bought this place and guess it to be 15 years old. We then went to the second location and he cleaned the furnace and checked the humidifier. He was about to install the new thermostat when he told me there was another thermostat that would control the heat and humidifier. We discussed the pros and cons and I decided to have him install the better thermostat. He did not have one with him so he called and found one not too far away. He went and picked it up and was back in no time and installed it. He was courteous and efficient. He gave me information that he thought I should have, but did not try to pressure me into buying anything. I would recommend this company and will call them again when the need arises.

Called Deljo because of listing on Angie's List. Courteous reception over the phone and prompt scheduling of Frank the sales rep to survey my old system on site and recommend replacement. Showed up on time. Most impressed that he did not try to over sell. I had already researched the system they specialize in (Trane/American Standard) and was ready to hear pitch for high efficiency condensing systems. He focused on what was right for the situation in place, including the difficulties of placement and need for additional vent work and cost benefits and recommended a mid range set up. I was pleased by the "what's right for the job" approach. Work was scheduled very promptly--actually within 2 days of receiving the proposal. Two installers, Will and Jose, arrived on time (within 15 minutes of schedule), laid down canvas and started work. They were efficient, work was carefully and neatly done, requiring re-piping and soldering. They had all or were delivered all needed sheet metal modifications and transitions to do and complete the work without delay. They were deliberate in making sure I understood the system installed, how to work the thermostat control they installed, the filter set up, where emergency cut offs were, etc. Frank called before the end of the job to schedule a post installation inspection (came within an hour after job was finished) to inspect the installation and take pictures to document work done. I think I could have found cheaper, but based upon past experience and experience with Angie's List contractors on the A list, who does the work can be more important than price. I would be comfortable recommending this contractor.

They were prompt, professional, and honest. Their serviceman fixed the radiator problem throughout the house, resulting in better heat distribution and great efficiency.

I was very happy with the service provided. I liked how they reviewed the work that needed to be done and, instead of offering the services 'a la carte', they recommended a service package that actually allowed me to get more for a few dollars less. The technician worked with me reviewing the requests made by the party that was buying my house so we made sure that all requests were met. Service was prompt and professional, and he even let me-an aspiring do-it-yourselfer-look over his shoulder as he was performing the work. I'd like to hire them again if they'll travel to my new house outside the city.

Deljo was so professional, showing up on time every morning and working an entire day without leaving a big mess. We have masons, carpenters, electricians etc working and no one has been as thorough, quick and reliable as Deljo was. I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing any heat and air conditioning work.

Needed to schedule time for our furnace to be looked over (hadn't done this in two seasons) in time for Fall/Winter. I contacted a few places, but Deljo was most convenient because I was able to correspond with them and schedule the appointment via email, rather than having to call and await a call back. The serviceman arrived promptly, did the work quickly, and explained everything to us. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

We use Deljo for regular maintenance and repair work.

Upon arrival, Ralph was very professional. The work performed was quicker than expected. He consulted me on a humidifier and thermostat I had inquired about. I would recommend services to anyone.
