+ 1 moreWe first met in a cafe in Chicago to discuss ideas. When both sides were satisfied that there was potential, we hired Steven to come with us to the house to take measurements and double-check our concepts. Within a few days, we had detailed sketches, along with a multi-page written summary.
Description of Work: My wife and I worked with Steven Smutny on a potential cabin rehab/restoration in Wisconsin. A few things he did: 1) Sat down and sketched out potential ideas, just based on rough measurements we provided. 2) Went to the cabin and spent four hours making sketches and dimensional drawings. 3) Worked with potential GCs to help them refine their proposals. 4) Gave us honest feedback on the state of the cabin. Unfortunately, this cabin had major flaws that Steven uncovered, but that saved us from a potential moneypit. We will *definitely* work with him again going forward.
