Description of Work: I finally found a new apartment! And didn't have much time to find a mover and move. I had heavy antiques, paintings, as well as, a lot of household goods. Crescent Movers were able to move me on a Sunday! Nothing was broken!

Description of Work: Crescent Movers were wonderful. I recommended them to my son from Angie's List. They were professional, prompt, courteous and fairly priced. I was there for the move out & the move in and they worked for 8 hours straight without a break. Crescent Movers were so accommodating regarding changes in the moving dates. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable moving company. They made a very stressful day go very smoothly. Thank you Crescent Mivers for a good experience.

Description of Work: Moved from one state to nearby state, so considered a "local" move. Had already cleared for-sale house of much furniture. Crescent made it simple, bc instead of having to measure furniture, cubic feet of items for moving/inventory/estimate, simple equation was estimate of TIME COSTS - from arrival at house, packing & moving, travel time, unloading & placement in new home. Lots of packing material,boxes, tape, etc. were extra costs, but all was supplied from truck. | |Movers were professional, especially Chief Ray, and time-efficient & patient through long & hot moving day. My only negative is that I was not prepared for cash required on moving day - contract was not clear. | | |

 + -1 moreGreat. I hired these guys two months ago to move my daughter from her apartment to our home. Now Crescent moved her back into an apartment. Great job, always friendly, punctual, helpful. Also, they tried everything to get her sofa into the apartment, but it was just way too big. The re-loaded it onto the truck without blinking an eye, and took it back to our home for us.

 + -1 moreI had a small move planned for 8am Saturday morning. My labor backed out at 2pm on Friday afternoon. After several calls to several companies who first said they could help me and then reneged within the hour, I found Crescent Movers on Yelp.com. They were able to add me to their Saturday schedule at 2pm. Jimmy, Juan and Jose showed up to my 3rd floor condo having already moved from a 3rd floor in the morning. They were efficient, careful, fast and cheerful (!) despite the 3rd floor out and 2nd floor in. I was moved in 2.5 hours, and delighted with this crew. I have moved somewhere between 15 and 20 times since living in Chicago, and have experienced the full range of moving companies, from great to AWFUL. These guys were terrific. It was a rainy day, and they were especially careful not to track mud into my new place.
