I've used Cornell multiple times. Each time with positive cost effective results exceeding my expectations. In my experience it's hard to find contractors who can do this consistently. I've had them do several things include building an oak staircase, sand and match stain for a portion of our floor, and seal the floors. Cornell makes sure everything goes smoothly and that the service recipient is aware and comfortable with how things are being done. I would highly recommend his company for your hardwood needs.

Cornell's work was excellent. We had removed 3 layers of old linoleum from the kitchen area beforehand, but the underlying glue still remained. We weren't sure what condition the floors were in under the linoleum in the bedroom/bath/laundry area, and it turned out some of the boards needed to be replaced. Cornell's did a great job matching and patching in area where it would be visible. The underlying boards were over 100 years old, and Cornell's did a great job in salvaging old boards from unseen areas and patching. Cornell's came out immediately to quote, and started right away. They were quick and professional throughout. Our only complaint would be that the final price ended up over $1,000 more than the quote. This was because of the condition of some of the old boards under the linoleum, and the cost was justified. However, it would probably have been best to let us know of the increase before we obtained the bill. Otherwise, great.

Overall experience was good, he was very responsive to my calls, arrived on time for our appointment, was polite and professional. The price for the work was comparable with one other bid. I selected another company for 2 primary reasons - 1) the other company used non-toxic products (Bona) and used dustless sanding equipment. 2) Cornell's had several unsatisfactory complaints on Better Business Bureau.

THE WORK WAS COMPLETED PROMPTLY, IN A TIMELY FASHION AND ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS. ALTHOUGH THE UPSTAIRS HALLWAY HAD NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN OUR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE, CORNELL FINISHED IT ALSO UPON MY REQUEST AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. THE FLOORS LOOK GREAT!

THE COMPANY WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY BUSY, BUT THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO OUR REQUESTS FOR A QUOTE AND FOR FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION. OVI, WHO CAME OUT TO QUOTE THE JOB, WAS A CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONAL AND HAD A GOOD FEEL FOR THE JOB. THE QUOTED PRICE WAS VERY, VERY COMPETITIVE AND CLOSE TO THE OTHER QUOTE WE HAD -- OUR DECISION CAME DOWN TO TIMING AND WE WENT WITH ANOTHER ANGIE'S LIST RECOMMENDED COMPANY. WE WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE CORNELL'S OUT TO QUOTE ANY OTHER WORK WE DO IN OUR CONDO! THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $7,000.

THEY DO BEAUTIFUL DETAILED WORK. THEY ARE QUICK, RELIABLE, AND ARTISTIC. THEY ALSO CLEANED UP PERFECTLY.
