Cinderfella Chimney Sweep

It went well. They were on time. The patriarch was super helpful and answered all my questions. He even took the time to show me how to start the fire, what to do with the ashes, damper, etc. having never had a fireplace I needed all the guidance I could get and he was patient and thorough with his answers to my questions.

Fantastic! These guys were truly delightful people, and they did a fabulous job. They protected our belongings, explained what they were doing for each step, fixed the front of the fireplace without an extra charge, and gave advice for chimney maintenance beyond what they do (ie: fixing specific brick work).

The sweep and inspection were fine. Rich was professional, knowledgeable, and candid.

We originally had Cinderfella sweep the chimney on 04/14/15, to prepare this house for sale. We paid $150 for this sweep. The house was subsequently listed for sale, went under contract, and the buyer's inspector noted that the chimney needed sweeping, and was not clean - (this chimney had not been used between Cinderfella"s original sweep date and the inspection date). I called Cinderfella to explain the situation. He came out (1.5 weeks later), and re-swept the chimney. Then, he charged an additional $180 for this service ($30 higher than the original service). I tried to explain that the first sweep hadn't cleaned the chimney, in an effort to allow him to recant his additional fee, and guarantee his original work. He refused. So in effect, we were not happy that we paid $330 for a chimney sweep (all in), and that he didn't guarantee his work.

I had never used the fireplace since moving into the house 3 years ago. I wanted it inspected and cleaned. When Rich arrived, he looked at the fireplace and determined that it was in great shape and was fine to use. Instead of going through the motions and cleaning a fireplace that didn't need cleaning, he told me that it wouldn't need to be cleaned for awhile and saved me $100.

This was really a very fair and reliable service for a crucial problem in my building. I greatly appreciated the punctual appointment, reliability, assessment and thorough service. This was a very experienced provider and knew what he was doing. It was very efficient and detailed to make sure it was done in a superior manner. The pricing was fair for this excellent work. I will be a long-term customer.

I expected to have to pay more because it hadn't been cleaned in over 15 years. They did a good job, I was satisfied and would use them again.

Cinderfella was scheduled for an 11 a.m. appointment on snowy, Saturday morning. Because they were traveling a bit of a distance to get to our location, they left plenty early due to the snow and ended up arriving about an hour early. It was actually a huge benefit for us that they were here early so we could get on with our Saturday. Plus, you know that they were making every effort not to let traffic/weather interfere with their punctuality. And that was much appreciated. Rich was a true pleasure to work with. He is a jovial kind of guy, but he takes his job very seriously (which in my mind is the best combination). He gave us a couple of recommendations for additional vendors that would help with some of the downdraft issues we were experiencing as part of a multi-unit condo complex. One of them, even phoned us the next day (a Sunday!) to say that he had received the specs from Rich and was working on a quote for us. We were really pleased with the experience and could only thank one of the others in our condo association for finding him for us. We would definitely use him again.

Rich is one in a million. One of those old school guys that you wish will be around forever, but sadly, probably won't. He was on time and squeezed us in his schedule (even though we didn't ask him to) so we wouldn't have to wait forever. He inspected our fireplace and swept it, but he also told us about the fireplace, firewood and more. As new homeowners, this info was well worth the fee.

Again we used Cinderfella and the job was it usual excellent self. We have used Cinderfella for the last few years and wouldn't change for the world. We burn a lot of wood, at least two cords a winter, if not more. We have never had a problem with our chimney's since Cinderfella took over cleaning them. Simply put Rich is the best!!

Excellent job. Cleaned up his mess in our living room after he was done. Gave some good advice on keeping the fireplace clean.

Rich is great, right down to his Chimney Sweep Hat. He got rid of all the spiders, cleaned the fireplace and installed a cap. He also noticed that the crown on the chimney was loose and recommended a gentleman to fix that for me. Rich and his helper, Mike, were very nice, neat, and respected my home. I would definitely recommend him.

Great guy, pleasure to talk to and I could tell he was very knowledgeable about his trade. No hidden cost . The guy was straight up with me.

I called Cinderfella Sweep for an appointment and got a call back from Richard. He could not give me a specific time so he gave me a time frame of between 1pm - 3pm. on 12/20/2012. I asked Richard if he could give me an hour notice before he came and he assured me that he would. Richard did not show-up for the appointment nor did he call. This is so unprofessional and he wasted my time. Don't bother with this guy he is unreliable. In response to Cinderfella response: I did not tell you I had to wait on my husband before I could make an appointment. That is impossible because my husband is deceased, 2010. Not only are you unreliable, but you are also dishonest and not to be trusted. As I stated before don't bother with this guy he is unreliable.

Unbelievable! We have used Cinderfella for the last couple of years after a couple of disappointing experiences with other companies. We burn a lot of wood in the winter, at least 2.5 cords worth, so our chimney gets pretty dirty. Cinderfella is always on time or early. He does a beautiful job of cleaning. Recommends only work that he really feels might need to be done. Leaves the fireplace area and house spotless. This is no fly-by-night operation. They are not only the best in my estimation they are also the cheapest I have ever found. I can not recommend Cinderfella highly enough!!

I turned on my heat for the first time. I realized my chimney was blocked, and the carbon monoxide detector went off. I called the fire department, and they opened window, shut off the gas. The next day I called some people to service our chimney. I called this company, and they stated they were tied up for the day, but he referred me to someone else. I called this other company, and they came out withing 45 minutes, and took care of the problem. That kind of kindness and consideration from Cinderfella, went above and beyond to take care of us. They even called back to check up on us. I thought that was really great. I told them if I ever had any issues, I would reach out to them for service. I would definitely refer to other people.

Cinderfella was wonderful. Called to see if he could come early, quick cleaning, very helpful in teaching us new home owners about the workings of a chimney. We use it all the time now!

Perfect, my call was returned the same day and the service was performed the next. The gentleman was on time,extremely nice and thorough with everything done. I could ask him questions and he was very knowlegeable. My house was kept clean during the time that the work was done.

Richard and his assistant did a great job, were friendly and knowledgeable, and patiently answered my questions. Even my dogs loved them :-) The price was half what others wanted and he was clearly honest and didn't try to upsell me on every little problem. Gave me some good advice on how to deal with minor issues myself. Highly recommended!

We had used him in the past. Once again, he was prompt, friendly, cleaned up and appears to have done a fine job.

He gave me a lot of good advice on how to solve some problems that I was having. He was very professional and punctual. He cleaned up well after the job and did everything he said he would do at a very reasonable price.

Cinderfella arrived on time, was careful to move my existing area rug and furniture out of the way so they could lay drop cloths. They removed their shoes prior to coming into my home and were very careful to contain any dirt/dust. The owner of the company even interacted with my 10 month old son and was friendly to my dog. My experience with Cinderfella was really positive. They didn't try to sell me on unnecessary maintenance or repairs. I will use Cinderfella again in the future and highly recommend their service based on my experience.

My experience with them was fantastic. He arrived on time. He came in and he wasn't disruptive. He cleaned up after himself. He did a good job on the chimney. I would recommend him and use him again.
