They were great. They came out for an estimate the next day after I called. They replaced our gas nozzle and cleaned our chimney. They did our neighbors as well when they were here and we got a discount for more then one chimney. I would highly recommend them.

They were WONDERFUL! The upstairs chimney was an easy fix, it just needed the new damper and cleaning and tuckpointing of the inside bricks. They even spray painted them at no extra cost. The downstairs chimney presented a problem as the old flue had unexpected twists and turns and was really old and had not been well-kept (we just bought the place and it's 90+ years old.) However, they stuck to the original estimate price and made the fireplace like new! What is amazing is that although there was a lot of soot, dirt, grout and other messy stuff, they kept everything neat and clean and made sure when they left it was as if they had never been there. The price was a bit higher than other estimates, but I chose them because of other stellar reviews on Angie's List. It proved a great choice. They were timely and efficient and even came a week earlier than the estimated appointment date when they had a cancellation. I am extremely pleased and can't wait until the cold weather to enjoy a clean like-new fireplace. Overall a fantastic job!

They showed up on time, even a little early. They got straight to work and were done before lunch time. They wasted no time. Estimate was done the following day, I called. Nick was on time to give the estimate. Maurise and his partner worked on our house and have a professional attitude and got the job done very quickly and I was very pleased. They did not waste any time and were very courteous. I would recommend them to anyone. They started at 9:00 a.m. sharp and were done before 11:05 a.m. I was very impressed.

Impressive to say the least. They came right early to accommodate my schedule (8:45am and had the work complete and everything cleaned by 3:30pm). They were the only bid I received that said they could complete the job in one day, said a metal liner was required to prevent future condensation and subsequent brick deterioration (which I confirmed with research on line and talking to my furnace contractor. They originally proposed only one liner with all furnaces and the hot water heater currently exiting one of the chimney flues. Subsequently my furnace contractor said this was not possible due to the output of my furnaces (funny, he connected them that way 4 years ago into my old chimney that only had a ceramic liner). I called Marcio to ask him about this before I approve their bid, and they said that was what their calculations indicated and there was a 15 year warranty on the liner. They were not the least expensive, but the most thorough and consistent with my research. That, their confidence and explanation as to why they would do the work the way they proposed and the turnaround motivated me to hire them. When they came today to do the work, they must have reworked their flue calculations and said that they in fact would have to install two liners and could access the unused 2nd flue to do so. They also said they would not charge me the additional cost as they committed on their contract that it would only take one. (Read this again, it's true.) As a principal of a design and architectural firm, who works with contractors continuously, I was shocked and impressed. Even my best contractors would add additional services and the cost for the work. Chimney USA also repaired the grout all the way down the chimney wall, cleaned up well, and were professional. They honored their discount coupons from Angie's list. While they were here I had them remove and cap a third chimney (adding $ 300 to the price) and asked them to seal a parapet coping tile where seal had pulled away (no charge!). They couldn't fill it completely and told me, then re-assured me they would finish sealing it when they return to remove the concrete chimney cap forms next week. Am I impressed, you bet. Use them, they are real and do the work...

We a leak that involded our chimney. Chimney USA came out and told us we had a blockage and CO was entering our basement. They came out within a week and installed a chimney liner. This did not work, as the leak continued, so they came out again in a snow storm and removed liner so that we could have heat. At this point the leak stopped so they intalled a larger liner which due to a dog leg in our chimney also did not work.At this point it became obvious that we needed our chimney rebuilt from the attic floor thru the roof. Unfourtunetly weather prohibited this as we were in the middle of winter. Mauricio had his crew and do some plastering on the ceiling and walls in the bedroom that had water damage that was not caused by his crew which was above and beyond his reponsibilities at no extra charge. He was also going to have his crew paint the bedroom but we told him no as we had other work to do on the room. Mauricio remained in contact with us and when the weather broke he had his crew come out and do the rebuild in 2 days. The cost was a little higher than the estimate but we needed more work than was originally stated on the estimate. We checked around and found there price was still better than others for the same work.The cleanup after each job was very thorough. Cudos to Mauricio and his crew lead by Mario. Overall it was a long job but the end result wes excellent. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job at a reasonable price.

I paid close to $1000 for this job. The owner called and asked me if everything was okay and I told him that they did not quite do the part of the furnace. They said they did not have the right tools and he said he was going send them back with the right tools and he did and they finished the job.

The finished job looked very neat. The workers were courteous and cleaned up when they were finished. And after two heavy rains, no water has come down the chimney into the basement. I am very happy with the work this company did and would recommend them.

Chimney USA did a great job. They were very flexible and professional. They came out on a Saturday morning to do the estimate and were able to explain what need to be done and how much it would cost. Their quote was very through and competitive. They came out a few days later and performed the work. They did an excellent job and left the house cleaner than they found it. I would highly recommend them.

Mauricio answered my phone call on the second ring after 5pm on a Friday, and immediately scheduled a (free) inspection visit on the day and time I requested it. He called to confirm the appointment ahead of time and arrived right on time, within 10 minutes of the start of the short (90 minute) window he'd given me. He asked if he should remove his shoes (snowy day, very considerate), checked everything out, listened to my description of the problem we were having, and got the fireplace working in about 15 minutes. (The previous owners never used it, so it needed some particular fiddling to get the pilot lit for the first time) He quoted the installation of a remote start for my gas log fireplace, including the removal of the current logs and running the necessary connections, etc (approx $700-800 - not in our budget this month, but we'll be calling him to do this work later). Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about his work, and very patient with all my detailed questions, his inspection and quote were at NO CHARGE (unheard of around here!) I recommend him highly.

After getting a VERY high estimate from another company, I called Mauricio to give us an estimate. Mauricio's estimate came in at one-third the price of the other guy's. (The other guy recommended that we also replace our chimney crown, which would have been $3,000 just for that. Mauricio thought that a chimney crown wash would be sufficient.) After providing an estimate, I was able to set up an appointment to have the work done within a week. Mauricio's guys were right on time and Mauricio checked back periodically while they were working. It took them about 5 hours to complete everything. Everyone was very professional. When they were finished, I had them go down with me in the basement to make sure that the furnace, hot water heater, etc had all been turned back on. They had forgotten to turn the furnace back on, not a big deal, but I was glad that I had them walk me through what they did. We've used the fireplace once since they did the repairs, and it appears to be working just fine.

I called the company to ask a couple of questions regarding fireplaces. I did not even finish my first question, and the owner said "I don't deal with whatever you're talking about, bye." and promptly hung up on me! I called about four other companies the same day and had courteous, meaningful conversations with all of them. There was absolutely NO reason for this individual to be so rude, unprofessional, and discourteous to me, nor to hang up after 5 seconds of conversation. I would never think to hire them for a thing.

After he cancelled, I took a better look at what was needed and managed to fix the damper myself. The needed part cost (literally) 5 cents at the local Do It Best hardware store. Of course, I spent a lot of time learning about dampers, doing research on the Internet, etc., etc., but I expect he'd have that knowledge already.

Mauricio was prompt, efficient and reasonably priced. I had needed help right away. My chimney was crumbling which blocked the exhaust of the furnaces for my 2 tenants. So I had to turn off the furnaces in later November. I had called a few other places who said either they could not come out until spring or would try to fit me in next week. I called Mauricio on a Friday at 5:30pm and he said no problem, he had a few jobs the next day but he would be out first thing Saturday morning. Mauricio and his crew came out first thing Saturday morning and took care of everything.

Mauricio came out on 11/30 and gave an estimate for replacing the firebox floor with new firebrick. The estimate for the repair including a chimney sweep was $580. Mauricio and Leon were able to come out on 12/2. I had a concern with the firebrick not being flush with the tiles in front of the fireplace. Leon was able to make it even and the fireplace looks great!

I was very pleased with this service. The appointment was made over the phone, and the servicemen showed up promptly (usually when you hear a time slot "between 9 and noon" it means 1:30, but they were there by 9:30). They were quick, efficient, and left the house cleaner than they found it. Since this is my first wood-burning fireplace they gave me good advice, and even some ideas of how to improve the look of the fireplace without expensive upgrades. I will definitely use them in the future.

I would definitely recommend this company to other individuals. This company definitely puts customer satisfaction as their number one priority

They showed up early, were very pleasant, worked efficiently and made sure all the debris/dust was cleaned up. We are very pleased with the work they did.

The work went well but they could have done a little more on the cleaning up part.

They called the day before to tell me the work would be postponed one day due to rain, which they were correct. It did the rain the day that the work was originally planned. They came the following day as they said they would. They showed up at 8:40am and were done by 3:30pm. There were a crew of three people who worked non-stop and started work from the time they arrived to the time they were done. They even cleaned up after themselves and took all the debris with them, so I did not have to have any extra garbage left. They were amazing at what they do and very reasonable for the cost. Maurice was awesome at arranging the work and the way it gets done!!! Many other companies would have charged twice as much for the work.

They did a very good job. They had eight guys who showed up to build the new chimney on my third story roof. They did a very nice, neat job of putting a tarp down on my lawn. I had just gotten a new lawn, so I appreciated their care in keeping it from being damaged. Their quote was competitive and they did nice work. They are the only contractor who thought to check the bottom of the chimney as well as the top. They cleaned out the bottom and found a spot to get into the bottom of the chimney. They are the only people who came for the quote who were that thorough. They asked questions that none of the other contractors asked, which really impressed me. They borrowed my digital camera and took some pictures of the chimney for me, which was a nice touch. They showed up when they said they would, and they finished quickly. I was very happy with their work and would certainly use them again. I will absolutely pass the word along that these are good guys.

Mauricio gave us a quick and very good estimate, much better than several other "A" rated companies here on Angie's List. They arrived on time on the specified day and completed their work quickly, cleanly and efficiently. The quality of the work was excellent.

My experience with them was very good. Mauricio gave me a prompt and fair estimate and was able to start soon after. The workers showed up on time and once they were settled I went to work. When I came home they were already gone and the new chimney looked very nice. I told Mauricio over the phone that my only complaint was the workers lack of drop cloths to protect the floor and window area they used to remove the debris. It wasn't really bad but I was hoping to come home as if no one had been there and there was some debris on the carpet and wear on the window sill with the attic access left open. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means but it was my only criticism of the whole operation and he apologized for the troubles. Overall, considering what they had to do I think they did a very nice job.

Everything went well, except after the guys left I didn't have any hot water. I called and was told to check water heater to see if guys left it off. They left it on pilot without making sure it was on. I had to call someone else to turn it on for me because the guys could not return until the next morning and I didn't want to be without hot water.

Excellent! Mauricio is an excellent businessman and his workers were great. His proposal cost was guaranteed and the actual cost indeed matched the proposed cost. He worked well with multiple members of our condo association, scheduled quickly, responded to calls immediately, walked us through the finished job and explained everything. The time on the job was exactly as he told us it would be (2 days). The clean up was spotless.

The guy came over on time and cleaned out the debris from both the fireplace and chimney. He then inspected it and said I may need work a liner in a few years, but otherwise declared the fireplace and chimney ready for a raging fire.
