Description of Work: At the suggesting of our heating service company, I logged onto Angie's List to search for chimney contractors. Based on the positive reviews, I called Chimney U.S.A. to inspect our chimney and duct work. My experience with the job completed bears out the positive reviews. The owner of the company, Mauricio, answered my first call, and appeared for his appointment as promised. He also called to let me know he was running a bit late--a rare enough thing for some contractors. After establishing our problems--100-plus year old chimney in bad shape, complete lack of a chimney liner, and leaks from the poor mortar, we decided to let him rebuild the chimney from the attic floor to the top, install a liner, and redirect the vents for both the water heater and boiler. He scheduled the work for a week hence, and estimated that it would take two days. Indeed, the work was completed on schedule, the workers were cordial, careful, and cleaned up well. As Mauricio predicted, our boiler came on right away (this is what instigated the call--that the boiler would not turn on because the vent was blocked). I climbed up to our attic and was very impressed with the brick work and flashing, as well as the finish on the outside. Also, the duct work in the basement was clean and well secured. When we settled, Mauricio honored the Angie's List coupon as promised, and so I felt it was important to give this company the glowing report they deserve. I would recommend Chimneys USA to anyone, and would call them again if I needed their service in the future.
