I called Edwin in the morning; he showed up that night, and was actually early. He completed the job within an hour, and offerred an Angies List discount. He did a great job and was very responsive.

Ed was on time, explained work to be done, explained time needed, materials and price. And completed job promptly, gave receipt and cleaned up and disposed of scrap material.

Great. Very nice work. Cleaned up well. Price was far less than estimated.

Our check valve worked well for about twenty years and unfortunately we became cavalier. When the violent rain storms of June-July 2010 came, the check valve failed to function resulting in 3 feet of basement sewage. Riverside plumbing proposed a sealed pit-ejector pump system (quite costly). Chicago-land plumbing suggested an alternative which made sense and was economically attractive, though it remains to be seen as to whether or not we chose wisely(?)

I contacted several companies, all from Angie's List. All were responsive until I told them I had a one piece toilet, and then....."can you call someone else?". No one wanted to deal with this except for Chicagoland Plumbing who offered to come out in the afternoon, and did. The parts, while the correct model and serial number, did not work, so the owner himself was able to go through his stock to fix the constant water running in the bowl. I was not charged until four days later, as I was told to make sure that I was satisfied that the work was well done and happy. I am. I was only charged for one visit, although Mr. Flores did work on two days, the day of installation and the day he came to replace a part that was not correct.

Working with Edwin and his crew was fantastic. I have worked with many individuals on Angie's List and he has been one of, if not the best, contractors I've worked with. His team is polite, friendly, very hard working, and the quality of work was fantastic. Edwin understands the concept of earning a customer for life and with me he has done just that. At first, it was easy to get in contact with the plumber. He showed up soon after I first called for a quote. As it turned out, the job they wanted to do was well beyond my budget and so I ended up scaling back the project. At that point, it was a little bit hard to pin down a date and I had to be a little bit more persistent than I like to be with contractors. On the date of the job, they finished on time and did a quality job.

Edwin was also flooded with work because of all the flooded basements in the area, but still managed to be very responsive to my call. I called him on Monday. We discussed the brands of water heaters available. He said that I could save money by buying the heater and picking it up myself. He recommended the Bradford-White unit available at Elmwood Supply. Since the one being replaced was a Bradford-White and it lasted nearly forever, that was the one I chose. Elmwood Supply was great. I upgraded to a 40 Gal from a 30 Gal heater for $322 plus tax. So the total cost of everything with the tax was right around $800. They were not able to get there until Wednesday because of the area-wide flooding problems. But, that was OK because it gave me time to pick up the water heater, continue to clean up from the flood, and clear room for the men to work. Considering the quality of the unit, the amount of work done and the very tight working conditions in my basement, I was was very pleased with the outcome. Edwin (the owner) and Albert and Carlos (the installing plumbers) were all professional, friendly and skilled. I wanted to wait a few days to make sure everything was solid before leaving the review. I'm just as pleased 12 days later as I was when I got to take my first hot shower. I will definitely use them again.

Edwin called me right back when there was confusion on my part about what plumbing company was coming to service my house. He was very sweet on the phone and came right out to the house that afternoon. He was able to fix my diverter issues by installing a new faucet - cheaper than ordering a new part and having a second visit! I appreciated his willingness to fit me into his schedule on the day I wanted. He worked very quickly and gave me solutions to help save money while doing an excellent job. He applied a 10% discount as I was a first time customer - I will be a repeat customer! I am recommending Edwin to my friend who is in the realty business as she is recommending professionals for work needed to sell homes.

Edwin Flores, initially set up for 4:30 but he called back and had to change the time. He evaluated the problem and deduced it was coming from the upstairs toilet. He said if changing the 0 ring on the toilet did not work, he might have to open up the wall and use a camera to evaluate the source. Luckily His intuition was correct and he fixed the leak. He also replaced a couple of flappers that had been anoyingly stubborn. He called 1 or 2 days later to make sure he had fixed it and i was able to tell him that the puddle of water downstairs was gone. He was efficient and professional from start to finish.

We were incredibly impressed with the professionalism, competence, and approach of the entire Chicagoland Plumbing team. The work performed by Mr. Flores was excellent. He communicated with us at every step of the way, explaining what he was doing and giving us his honest opinion. He went out of his way to save us money, and was consistently reliable, punctual, and courteous. The quality of his work was outstanding. Finally, I have 3 very curious preschoolers, and Mr. Flores let them watch his work, while making sure that they were out of harm's way. Chicagoland Plumbing is a gem of a company. I can't imagine ever using any other plumbing company again.

We called around 9 am and Carlos was there by 1 pm. It was great. The drain now works. Carlos was very professional and cleaned up after the clog was removed.

Terrific experience from start to finish - Edwin promptly returned our call, was on time to provide the estimate, ordered the new heater for delivery, and had two people out to install the water heater. Clear communication from start to finish with professionalism, promptness, and quality work. I highly recommend this company and will call them again for future plumbing needs.

Edwin was professional and courteous. Ready to work. I would use him again. 3/13/11 I'm coming back in to report that we won't be using Edwin, EVER, again - mainly b/c he doesn't follow up. We called him 5 mos. after he replaced and item and he said he's not responsible for the item not lasting! Can you believe that??? We BEWARE that Edwin uses faulty parts and doesn't stand behind them and futher more he doesn't call you back!!! STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

Unreliable and unprofessional. I called Mr. Flores on a Monday and he told me that he could not get out to provide an estimate until Saturday. He called Wednesday and left a message saying that he wanted to know if he could come by early since he was in the neighborhood and that if he didnt hear from me, he would see me on Saturday. Friday he called again, asking me to call to confirm. I did so Friday evening, leaving a message on his voicemail. Saturday he was a NO SHOW. When I called to inquire, he said that he had called me all week and that because I confirmed so late on Friday (after I got in from work), he ASSUMED that i did not want him to come. Mind you, we had made an appointment on Monday. Why he would assume it was off, I have no idea. He offered no apology for the inconvenience he caused and made no attempt to reschedule. I will not be calling again.

The two techs were courteous, hard-working and conscientious; they cleaned up the laundry room floor afterward. They worked for over 3.5 hours indoors and outdoors when it was cold and dark in December of 2009. It was an emergency situation for my husband and me as water backed up from the main laundry water pipe onto the floor. They told me that commercial service calls were usually higher priority compared to residential ones. I was glad that they were a little slow in December and were able to come by and repair the problem. They gave us a 10% discount for being a member of Angie's List. The lead tech recommended that the basin be vacuum-pump cleaned --- a service that they could not do because they did not own that kind of specialized truck and license.

Ed was great! On time, courteous, and completed the work professionally and quickly. What really impressed me was that when he learned we had inadvertently purchased a dish disposal that would not work (we bought a plug-in one but needed a hardwired one), he offered to come back later in the afternoon at no additional charge, so we would have time to go out and purchase the correct disposal. And he still came in under budget. Highly recommended!

Mr. Flores failed to call or show up when he said he would. It's not that my time is so valuable, but I don't appreciate it being wasted. Unprofessional and unreliable.

Edwin said he would come check out our water heater on Monday but cancelled the day of. He then pushed it back to Tuesday but cancelled the day of again and finally came on Wednesday. He checked out the heater for about 5 minutes and said he couldn't fix it and to call the maunfacturer. When we called we found that the problem was relatively easy to fix in just a few minutes. We called Edwin to tell him what happened and asked him to come back but he said he would have to come back later. While friendly, the service needed seemed relatively basic and something he should have been able to take care of. Thankfully he didn't try to charge us, but we were unimpressed by the level of service.

Ed Flores responded quickly to my voice mail, and arrived on time for the job. I wanted to find out the condition of my water heater, and Ed suggested we drain it for sediment. He gave me some other tips for keeping my water heater in good shape, and also changed the flappers on two toilets. I will call this company for any and all plumbing needs in the future!

I was trying to replace a gas range and was unable to remove the nipple adapter that the previous range used. Even after using the largest wrenches I could find and soaking the the pipe sealant with PB Blaster, I couldn't unscrew it an inch. Ed responded immediately after giving his number a call and provided some suggestions (pro bono) that, unfortunately, were unsuccessful. After exhausting those options, we set up an appointment for him to take a look at it himself. He showed up on time with the right tools and was able to get the adapter off in about 5 minutes. He even installed the new adapter (a 30 second job, but still saved me a bit of time) and decided to call the job a service call since it took him longer to fill out the paperwork than to complete the actual work. Even though it was a simple job I consider it money well spent since it would have cost me more to buy the huge wrenches he used than have him come out. I'll definitely be calling him next time I need some plumbing work done.

He showed up as promised and repaired the pipe in a quick clean manor. He did not over charge and could have given the situation.

I found Edwin to be professional, personable, highly competent in his craft, thorough, kind, and sincere. Edwin came to my house on the same day that I called. He assessed the situation of my poor kitchen sink piping, and explained it to me so I was crystal clear on what had happened and options on how to fully fix it. He did a brief fix that day so that I'd be able to use the sink, and then the very next day came back to do the entire repair (it required some additional materials). While I wish it had cost less, I would absolutely recommend Edwin to anyone with plumbing needs.

Called Edwin and he came out the next evening to check a leaking outdoor spigot. The walls on the inside of the house are drywalled and we could not tell where the piping came into the house. Edwin offered to open up the wall and find the pipes but said if I wanted to find the pipes it coule save time and money having him do it. I opened up the wall myself, found the pipe and called him to come out the next weekend. Took him about an hour to replace the spigot and install the valve.

We called Chicagoland Plumbing to repair our leaky kitchen sink pipes and they came out the very next day. The repairman looked at the problem and replace all drain pipes between the wall and the bottom of the sink within a hour. Nice, quick and clean. I have already recommended them to a friend.
