Went great. Showed up early this morning, got to work and prepared the door nicely so that I could stain it later in the day. He was courteous to my wife and took the time to give me a variety of other quotes on things I need stripped around the house. He cleaned up nicely and went on his way. Darrell is a hard worker and appreciates the chance to help you out.

Great! They picked up the doors in the beginning of the week and returned them at the end of the week. The doors look great and are now ready for us to stain. We will definitely use this contractor again if we need more wood stripped.

They were by far the lowest bid we got. So low I wondered if I was getting myself into trouble, but they did a fantastic job. Not only is the work beautiful, but they worked like crazy to finish on time (I needed it done quickly) and were very courteous and communicative. They're not fancy marketers. Don't expect brochures and fancy written materials - they're just very very good at what they do. They've been doing it for over 30 years. Trust them and you'll be very pleased. I have 100 year old birch (now confirmed), painted/varnished doors and based on my current list of weekend projects, this was another one I didn't want to add to my list. I contacted Daryl who came to my house and picked up the doors to bring to his shop. Came out to about $85 a door + $15 delivery, well worth it considering the amount of time, toxicity, and mess. He recommended a guy who works with him often on jobs, Joe (I'll have to create a separate report for him), who did an excellent job matching existing doors in the house and brought out the beauty in the wood. I ll see if I can post pictures later. I would highly recommend him.

Overall, the quality of the work was very good. They worked quickly, they were very professional, and were polite. They did a lot of prep work, but on the last day I noticed that they got a bit sloppy. There were minor messes where pieces of wood were stripped that shouldn't have been, there were also a couple of spots where the stripper hit the floor and it took the floor up. However, their prices were better than everyone else's.

They were very courteous and responsive. The price is per door. I can't tell you how happy I was with them. I did one side of the door myself and seeing how hard and time consuming the work is they are worth every penny. I've had them do 3 doors and they will be doing more soon.

Darrell stripped a wood door (incl door trim) and the trim around our front windows (including rosettes). The wood trim and the door were saturated with layers of paint, including textured paint and he thoroughly stripped it all. He did a terrific job at an extremely reasonable price and in a time-frame. We are very satisfied with his work. We are happy to have found Darrell and we know he is the go to man for our wood stripping needs as we continue to rehab our home.

We were extremely happy with the job Darrell did. His price was reasonable and he finished this tedious and time consuming work on time for our project. In fact, we were so pleased with the job, we gave him a $300 bonus when he was done. All of the wood had not one speck of paint on it when returned. Due to dip stripping (the method he uses) we did have some boards get a bit warped and some joints on doors were loosened, but this is to be expected with this method. He will also strip wood in place in your home as well. Darrell is a good guy and he is doing a huge service by helping save old architectural elements from the garbage heap! Perhaps best of all, we were able to put back the original coffered ceiling beams (see photo).
