blockage in sewer line was NOT cleared. I hired another plumber who brought better equipment (much larger cable and cutter) and he was able to clear the line. Unfortunately, Chicago Sewer Exoerts did not get the job done.

First, the good. Woke up 1-20-24 to pipes frozen. Later that day, I reached out to Chicago Sewer Experts. Customer service dispatcher said they will come out give me an estimate for the work. The fella arrived very close to the expected time which was good. I live in the manufactured home so the majority of the piping was outside and under the house. Still easily accessible. They began working to thaw the pipes. They were here for 1.5 hours. (3:30 to 5:00PM) The contractor was a super nice guy, patient and stayed diligent til the work was done. After the pipes were open, he he returned with the bill for $950!!! Yep thats the bad. No advance warning about the hourly rate just a bill for $950. It took a while for me to keep my calm. No repairs, no busted pipes, only heating the pipes. After I barked and reminded him that they were only here for an hour and a half, you brought the price down to $641.25. What....the F!!!!! Yes I paid it but I want some money refunded. Thats just crazy.

The employee who answered my call told me it would be $85 for an after-hours visit for which I was ultimately charged $185 (more than 2x the price originally told). On that same call I asked the employee to confirm whether, if my leak was indeed caused by my dishwasher, whether the plumber they were sending possessed the tools and ability to fix the issue, to which the dispatcher responded in the affirmative. The plumber came and could not fix anything at all. What was the point of even sending him?! I never would have had this company send a plumber over after hours if I knew the real cost was $185 OR if I had known the plumber could not fix the leak. I called back the next day, a Saturday, and described my extremely disappointing experience to the weekend dispatcher, and was told by THAT employee that the company would get back to me on Monday. It has now been six days since the company was supposed to contact me regarding my awful experience, so here I am, sharing my experience with you, dear reader. Honestly, I have no idea how this company has over a one-star rating. Based on my experience, the company employs incompetents who do not even know the most basic aspects of the services they supposedly provide, and the companys management does not respect its customers, assuming the weekend dispatcher even conveyed my issues to them. The plumber was a nice enough guy, and I do not think it was his fault that his dispatcher put him in an impossible situation and is generally atrocious at her job.

Job was just completed, they worked in a professional manner and got the job done.

Prompt. Professional. Felt I paid a slight premium given the task -- a clogged drain -- but totally worth it since the previous guy rodded the drain 25 feet and still didn't unclog anything, and yet the CSE guy got it done in three feet. I am still trying to figure out the new math here. In any event, would absolutely recommend.

needed fast service and they came in gave an estimate and went about fixing. Had to remove some ceiling. Kept mess to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves.

They responded quickly and arrived on time. However it became very clear the young man who arrived was not very knowledgeable about plumbing. He tried his best and with my encouragement and a couple of calls to another person, it turned out successful. It's not perfect, but it is working. I'll hire them again for small jobs.

Came back as promised the next day after struggling with the drain the first day. unplugged the bathroom drain & even fixed the leaking kitchen drain.

Maggie is the Best! She got us a tech to fix our drain and replace our broken toilet .

Chicago Sewer Experts contacted me immediately. I spoke with their customer service reps, who then put me in contact with their actual service man. Within one day I had a fair estimate, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I truly felt I was treated honestly & fairly. I have to mention Gabriel, who was my service man and was incredibly kind & honest! I will work with this company again!

He came the day i called and took care of the problem.

Water, Water, Water all over the place especially flooding my outside porch area leading to my front door. The water was accompanied by a low level pungent order. Being a DIY person, I sprang into action. Pulled out the auger and went to work. From a standing puddle to stinky waves was the result. I needed help. By chance, I called the company with a name that I hoped they could live up to, I called Chicago Sewer Experts. A friendly woman answered my call and we scheduled an appointment for 10:30 am. Off to a great start as the work van pulled up the next morning on time. Out jump a charismatic energetic gentleman who introduced himself as Jonathan, the à ¢à  à  Chefà ¢à  à  . Like any good chef, Jonathan surveyed the situation as he listened to a description of my problem. Obviously, this was not the Chefà ¢à  à  s first time seeing a lake on the front door of a home. The van doors swung open like a kitchen pantry and an auger was set in place. After a few minutes, the Chef did not like the tone of his auger rummaging through the sewer pipe. While talking about Singapore street food, the Chef did not miss a beat as he quickly changed utensils. Now a slightly bigger auger was dancing down the sewer pipe. The talk of Singapore fine dining was interrupted by the sound of successful auger punch through. Yes, the job was finished and done right. But the most amazing thing the Chef did was make time to follow up on his work. Birds of a feather flock together. I would like to think The Chicago Sewer Experts company is ripe with skilled journeymen the caliber of Chef Jonathan. Employees who care about excellent workmanship with a sense of pride and humor. Excellent customer service. Brian did an awesome job. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

DO NOT HIRE! We had a technician come out and fix a leak in our toilet for a few hours. He then flushed the toilet multiple times to test it and left right afterwards. Unfortunately, he misdiagnosed the issue. He actually ruled out what ended up being the problem. After he left, there was a huge flood in the area (8-10 times larger than what we called about in the first place, ruining our new carpet). This would not have happened if the issue was diagnosed correctly, fixed and then had the toilet flushed for testing. What was a minor leak, became a major flood because of his misdiagnosis and follow up actions. Everyone makes mistakes, so we called the company and the field supervisor, Joseph, said that they had no liability whatsoever and refused to consider paying for the cost to repair the damage to the carpet and the wall caused by his technician. The whole experience with Joseph felt very unprofessional and dishonest. I would definitely recommend avoiding this company if at all possible.

Their solution to replacing the busted pipe in the wall was to tear out 1 or 2 kitchen cabinets as well as a portion of the laundry room wall. Another company corrected the problem by a 3" hole in base of cabinet and a 12x12" dry wall access to install a new pipe. All w/out the massive tear out that was suggested.

Chris is my definition of a real Professional. Took the time on a job that was complex and time consuming to tackle a job that was no quick fix...and spent hours doing what no other plumbers had taken the time to do, find the real source of my problem! Integrity and pride in a job well done regardless of the extraordinary time it required was not only a testament of integrity but also the expertise that years of experience brings. A real Professional and a real Expert!
