We just purchased our house and hadn't moved in yet, so they didn't have to deal with painting around any furniture or anything. They were super fast and super professional - they give you 30 days to call the for retouching if you notice anything strange, and we didn't even need to ask for that. They also have a color consultant available for $50 extra - being color-challenged, we took them up on that, and she was super super helpful. Worth every penny.

From beginning to end our experience with Chicago Painters was excellent. In the beginning, they provided us with reasonable quotes and answered all of our questions. They were very clear on how the process worked, how to pick out paint colors, and what to expect. When the first day of painting began, the painters were very professional and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. Our painting project was rather large because we had a bunch of drywall tape that needed to be replaced. When drywall tape is replaced, they have to do a lot of sanding down and that means a lot of dust. They put up huge barriers of plastic sheet from floor to ceiling whenever they were sanding so not an ounce of dust landed in other parts of our condo. We really appreciated that because the clean up afterwards was minimal. Once all the dry wall tape was replaced and sanded down, they started the painting and the paint job came out beautifully! Over the course of about 6 months, we worked with Jim a couple different times and he was professional and answered all my questions. Chicago Painters is a great company and I highly recommend them for any paint job no matter how big or small.

I contacted them and they responded promptly. We setup an appointment to go over the scope of work. They explained to me how the entire process would go and what to expect. Three painters arrived on the date set and painted for 3 entire days. They made no mess and worked hard. I personally have painted my loft two prior times so I personally know how difficult and back breaking it is. They did an amazing job and wouldn't hire anyone else. Thanks I love the new colors and how nice the walls look.

Clay came out both times to give us an estimate and talked through the process in detail. Jim's crew arrived the day we planned, on time and ready to work. Both times, the job was finished before expected, and we were very satisfied. After the first time, I noticed a few places that could have used a little retouching and Jim sent someone over right away. Very happy with our paint job and will definitely be using Chicago Painters again for any of our painting needs!

Went very well, they were on time and completed the job on time. Cleaned up work once completed. Painted the interior of my home, including finished basement that previously had marker and crayon drawings all over it!

They were terrific. We had just moved into our house and wanted it repainted as soon as possible. They were able to book us for that week. They finished sooner than anticipated, and they left a clean house when they were done for the day, which made the whole thing a lot less unpleasant. The actual crew was also very nice. We really appreciated their free 30-day touch up since we had furniture move in after they finished the job. We'd definitely work with these folks again.

Clay came out and gave us an estimate. I let him know we were getting estimates from 2 other companies and he told me if they came in lower to let him know and he would match the price. I did just that and they matched the lowest proposal I received. They came out later that week and completed the work. As far as I can tell they did a great job - I'm no painting expert. But I have been very impressed with the follow up. I spoke with the owner, Jim, just before they came out to do the job. This may not be part of the normal process since they got me scheduled so quickly. But after the work was completed, I received an email from Jim making sure everything went well. They offer a free 30 day touch up. It has been just about 30 days and I received another email from Jim letting me know my 30 days was about to expire and to let him know if we needed any touch ups. That's what I call going the extra mile. Very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

We got a fast response and fast price quote. The work was done within 1 week of the quote, and they did a very nice job. I would use them again.

Jim came out to give us an estimate for repairing and painting our ceiling following a roof leak. He was on time and very professional. Following the visit we scheduled the work. Everything went as planned-- great and friendly painters, ceiling looked good as new. They were very clean and made sure to cover all the furniture. Will use again.

I never thought I would love a painting company, but I LOVE Chicago Painters. I was enthusiastically referred by a friend, and I've since enthusiastically referred myself. These guys are very professional, nice, careful, and reliable. The paint job is absolutely stunning (people actually ask who I used) and the price was so much lower than every where else I just about jumped up and down. Thank you, Jim!

We purchased a home that had wallpaper everywhere. We took the wallpaper down and the scope of the job scared us. We had lots of cracking in the plaster walls. We called Chicago Painters and in a few days the estimator came by. He was on time and friendly. He came by on a Friday and told us they could get started on Monday. We were relieved they could get started quickly. However, when I called the office to inquire about the deposit, the nice lady at the office sounded surprised about our Monday start date and told me "Jim makes all the decisions." They did start on Monday but I didn't like that the estimator told me Monday would be the start date if he didn't have the authority. The crew showed up on time. They did a great job. What else can I say. I think it's was a challenging job - it's a 100 year old house with cracking plaster everywhere and it almost looks like it's new drywall! One minor complaint is that you have to talk to Jim about everything. We wanted to add some doors we forgot to include in the estimate and the crew lead was uncomfortable doing it without me talking to Jim about it. There was also some questions about how many coats the trim was going to get - the response was the same "Talk to Jim." These were minor issues and I think the crew leads should be empowered to handle them. The quality of the work was great. Communication could have been better. But they are a great company, and I will totally call them when I need more painting done. At the end of the day, it's the work that matters.

Due to the quality of their reputation, I trusted Chicago Painters with the job and they did not disappoint. No drips. No paint on the brick. The paint line on the timber beams covered the previous paint line perfectly. I was at work while the painter was working, but the work was well done. Aside from the fresh paint smell and a great looking wall, there was no other evidence anyone had been in my apartment. Everything else was just as I had left it. When it comes time for me to move out, I will call Chicago Painters again to return the accent wall to its original color. I recommend them without hesitation.

All went great! They provided us with a quick estimate at a good price and completed the work as quickly as we requested. We had 3 rooms painted in our home and they turned out beautiful. No complaints just quality work. As our other painting needs come along we will definitely go back to Chicago Painters.

Fantastic! I called to schedule an estimate, the estimator showed up on time, pleasant, professional, I thought the quote was reasonable. The owner Jim called me a week later to follow up and I decided to schedule the work. I was a bit high-maintenance because I was having a big dinner party and I wanted the work done before then. Jim was great at working with my schedule and having an extra guy assigned to the job to accomodate my needs. The workers showed up on time. They were polite, pleasant, clean, professional. They got a lot done each day. At the end of the job, they cleaned up very well. You definitely could not tell painters had been in the house. They moved the big furniture back and put back a couple of nails in the walls that I asked them to save the spot so I did not have to remeasure the exact location for some of the pictures. Nothing was damaged, broken, etc. They also filled a few holes in the wall where big curtain rods had been mounted, you can't even tell now. My dinner party was great and everyone commented on how great the house looked! I would definitely use this company again.

I heard from my mother about Chicago Painters. I called and got a quote right away, Jimmy is great!. His team came out, repaired my walls and re-painted them. I am beyond happy with the results. It was done timely, and efficiently.

I have used several vendors to different remodeling jobs on my house and Chicago Painters is one of the best I have worked with! This is my third time using them and each time I am beyond happy with the results. Jim and his team were very quick to respond to my request for an estimate and were able to schedule the work to be done the following week. I was having trouble picking out my paint colors and they offered to have their design consultant Cindy come out and help. She was great and definitely needed for me to make the right choice. It is great being able to add on the extra service and get a professionals opinion. Chicago Painters crew is very well trained and always meticulous about covering the floors and making sure they got every spot. I really appreciate the process they have in place of doing an initial and final walk through with the client to make sure to discuss and fix any issues. The customer service is awesome and one of the reasons I keep coming back. The team answers every email and call right away. They verify start times and followed up after to see how everything went. I will definitely use them again. They are reasonably priced, fast, thorough and have great customer service.

I was very pleased with the work that Jim (owner), Clay (estimator), and Bobby (painter) did. All were were professional, personable, and understood the condo's rules as far as where to bring up his supplies, etc. Furthermore, Bobby pointed out that none of the baseboards were caulked and that the seams in the drywall should be taped rather than just doing a quick fix. So although the final price deviated from the estimate, I was willing and happy with the extra work that was done.

I first called the office and spoke a woman (Cheryl?) and she was very nice and accomdating. She then scheduled an estimate for me on a weeknight at 7pm, which I thought was nice because I'm busy during the day. Clay, the salesman, was very nice and I fealt very comfortable with him. He was great with my dogs which is funny because my dogs bark at everyone. The contract was very detailed and written on the spot and I was given a carbon copy with the pricing laid out. After discussing with my husband we decided to hire Chicago Painters because of their good reviews. They were a little more pricey than the other companies but we fealt it was worth it to pay a little more since they would be in our house for about 3 days unsupervised most of the time. Our painters were great, they spoke good english and were very attentive to our requests. One thing I will say is that I would of prefered them to take their shoes off while in the house but Jim said it was a liability issue since they could fall of the ladder or a tool couuld hit their foot. I thought it would of been nice if they wore covers on their shoes like doctors wear, but they didn't have any. Either way not that big of a deal. They finished a day early and the work was great. I noticed a spot that was missed and I called Jim (the owner) and he sent out a painter within 3 days to touch it up. I didn't realize at the time of booking the job that they offer a 30 day warranty. I thought that was really nice. So all in all, we are very happy with the work and would hire them again.

Chicago Painters first painted our new home prior to our moving in. The work included a three story open stair well. I was worried about our woodwork (original 1890) and (newly refinished) hardwood floors. They did a great job painting and were very good about not getting paint on any of the woodwork using both skill and multiple drop cloths (especially in the stair well). Just five months (April 2011) ago we hired them again to paint our newly remodeled family room (basement). Once again they did a great job.

The painting crew was courteous and professional. They finished the work on schedule even though we added some additional areas to paint. We could never have chosen paint colors so quickly. Jim, works with an interior designer and she made the selection process quick and painless. They moved furniture, took off closet doors, moved shelves....and got it back together perfectly.

The painters called ahead of time and were prompt on arrival. They asked good questions, moved my furniture with care and prepped the walls and did a great job. I plan to use them this spring to do my deck and front door.

Things went very well. They were timely and ended up finishing earlier than expected. The two men that came were very nice and professional. The only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect about the job was the patchwork. We expected them to texture the wall a bit where they made the patch, but it looks pretty smooth. It's hardly noticeable in our space, but since we know where the holes used to be, it's pretty easy for us to find those smooth areas on the wall. Overall, though, the paint job looks really great.

Fantastic results. I just joined Angie's List, otherwise I would have posted earlier. This company painted my neighbors condo, it looked good, so I called them for an estimate. The owner himself showed up, he answers the phone most of the time himself. He was on time, explained a lot to me about different paints, and options of painting ceilings, trim, doors, and quoted just the walls versus doors and trim. He had a special where we received one hour free consultation with an interior designer to help up pick paint colors. Interior designer was great, saved me and my husband from fighting in the aisle of home depot. I feel like it is a smaller company, and was a little difficult to coordinate the date for the estimate. However, the date that the work was to begin, the crew was on time, had their supplies, I gave them the deposit check, and the keys to the condo. I was pregnant so my husband and I stayed in a hotel for four days - we never checked on the work. They finished the work a half day early. We came back, and the place was gorgeous, no damage to the floors, no paint spills, nothing was stolen or broken, (it was full of furniture) and we did not even need any paint touch ups, which he offers for free for 30 days in case there is a spot here or there that we thought should be re-painted. I will use them again - we sold the condo and are getting a house, so this will be the company for us. This company gave the condo association a quote in March, 2010, for painting common area hallways and stair wells. They were comparable, a couple hundred dollars more than one other company, but we know they do good work. The association has yet to hire anyone for painting, but I hope they use this company. Their price is X for labor plus the cost of supplies. They buy the paint and supplies and gave me a receipt for the cost of the supplies, so I did not feel like they were scamming me on the supplies.
