CHICAGO DUCT CLEANING CO

I had Chicago Duct come out before we moved in to our first home (townhouse on Chicago's northside) and boy, I was so glad! Joe sucked out telephone books, magazines, toys and even some stuff he didn't want to tell me about(dead rodents!). Who knows why anyone would ever put this garbage in their vents/ducts. Our townhouse saw much turnover, with very few people who really did any necessary maintenance. Cleaning your ducts helps your allergies, your air flow and in some cases will prevent fires. I've handed out their cards time and time again, because they really know their business. Very honest, informative and detailed! Heck, they even referred me to Angie's List, because they want their consumers to be educated. Worth every penny!

Joe was professional and a little particular. He clearly brought the right equipment and performed the hired service well. I feel he needed to explain the details of his work too often and took up a lot of my time, in his explanations. Overall he knows his stuff and wants to tell you about it.

I just bought a century old coach house, and doubt that the ducts had ever been cleaned. Joe and his assistant came over with a powerful, commercial grade vacuum and cleaned all the ductwork. There was lots of dirt and even some debris in the ducts. He also sanitized it. All in all, it took 2 hours, a little longer than usual, but like I said, they'd probably never been cleaned before. Joe patiently explained it all to me, and made some energy saving suggestions. I highly recommend.

Mr. Schatzl and his assistant arrived on time and performed the work efficiently and cleanly. The weather was quite cold, but there were no complaints, and they were enthusiastic about their work.

It went very well. Joe couldn't make the first appointment due to machine malfunction. He kept me informed about the delays and on the second appointment he got the job done. His communication skills are excellent.

This was a newly purchased ranch during remodeling we developed eye allergies from the poorly maintained heating system. The heating system had been cleaned and refitted prior to the duct cleaning the heating tech recommended that the duct system be clean because the air flow to rear bedrooms was not sufficient for proper heating. The tech could not recommend a duct cleaning company because of prior referrals with mixed results. Chicago Duct Cleaning arrived and provided excellent service. Joe was informative and stated the duct system was one of the worse he had seen. The job took more time then expected but the ducts were that bad. The system was also disinfected. The system works fine and we have not had to deal with eye allergies since the heating system was completely serviced.

Initially I was concerned when the technician hadn't showed up on time. I called Joe and he was at our house within 15 minutes and performed the job himself. He later explained the tech was delayed finishing another project and was genuine with his apology. We have been rehabbing our home and between the drywallers, flooring guys, and other construction - the ducts were filled with debris. Joe took an extensive amount of time cleaning them at no extra charge. We were extremely impressed with his customer service, skills-set and the final product. We had previously had the ducts cleaned when we first started the rehab (about 3 years ago) and there was no comparison to the level of work performed. After Joe cleaned the systems, both furnaces are now in fabulous condition. We have already referred him to several friends and would definitely use his services again.

Joe and Francisco arrived, took a few minutes to look around and got right to work. They worked quickly, efficiently and clean. Overall it took about 3.5 hours for them to accomplish all the work. They were both pleasant and answered any questions that I had. I would not hesitate to hire them or refer them in the future.

They were absolutely superb. I paid a bit more, but the air actually FELT clean when they left. They worked hard for a whole day and brought in an impressive machine to clean the ducts. I absolutely recommend them. They also were very nice and professional.

Joe was great - arrived 45 minutes late (but called to tell me he would be delayed), worked really hard running from basement to attic cleaning ducts, and was not intrusive as he did so. Cleaned up everything when he was done.

Joe and Eddy were excellent. They explained ahead of time what they were going to do; they didn't mind having my kids ask questions, and they were very careful about not damaging anything. When they were done the house smelled fresh and clean, even though we didn't opt for the antimicrobial wash that was offered at additional cost. I would recommend them highly.

We were very pleased with Chicago Duct Cleaning Company. Not only were they the most competitively priced, but also they were very pleasant and professional. Two gentlemen showed up on time and proceeded to work for several hours until all the ducts were cleaned. We believe that the ducts have never been cleaned in the home and were shocked by the amount of stuff that came out. The only small complaint I have is that they first loosened the dust in the ducts with a power fan which left soot and dust around many of the ducts and the floor. Overall, not that big of a mess but I did have to go around and clean up a bit when they left. Overall, a good company and we would recommend.

When the customary dryer vent cleaning techniques didn't work, Joe continued to work very hard problem-solving with us. Eventually, we decided to bring out his industrial duct cleaning equipment and that solved the problem. Joe was customer-focused the entire time and he was very fair in suggesting an appropriate price for this uncommon solution. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Fantastic... the attention to detail, the explanation of what was being done, and the actual cleaning were all excellent. It sounds like a lot of money, but Joe (the technician) was on site for 5 hours and also explained that in most cases, it should last 5 YEARS. Joe was friendly and professional, and we gladly recommend him.

Joe and Eddie were terrific; they helped me to understand exactly what they were doing and both had a great attitude when getting the vacuum tubes and machines into our house looked challenging. Very pleasant people who took pride in their work. Eddie was also sensitive to the fact that we have a cat who was alarmed by the noise, etc. Joe clearly enjoys his work and explained everything thoroughly to me. Would recommend!

Absolutely first-rate service. They showed up earlier than scheduled, did the job, and were out in just under an hour. Courteous, polite, and knowledgeable; even a follow-up call the day after to see if things were still OK.

This was my first experience with Angie's List and I have to say I came away very impressed. From the beginning they were very professional. Joe explained that they normally use commercial strength vacuums, but that since the unit was on the back end of our unit on the 4th floor, it might not be accessible. He then offered an alternative should that be the case. When it came too, the alternative actually was the only solution and Joe threw in the santizing free of cost since they were unable to use the heavy duty vacuums. They were on time, quick and efficient. I was very happy with my overall experience.

They did a really good job and gave us information on what we can do to keep our ducts clean.

This is one of the single best service providers that I have worked with. I can't recommend them highly enough. Joe was prompt, polite, nice, informative, funny, dedicated and more. Even my dog loved this company. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

I've used Angie's List to hire companies a few times in the past, but have never been compelled to write a report until now. I called Chicago Duct Cleaning Company to see if they could help open a stubbornly clogged dryer vent. Joe answered the call and agreed to come out just a few hours later. He couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating during the entire experience. From maneuvering in a very tight space to reach my dryer vent to precariously perching himself outside a small bathroom window three stories above the ground to access the exterior vent, Joe went above and beyond. He even swept up the dislodged lint debris that sprayed into the alley below! I whole-heartedly recommend Joe and will definitely be hiring him again to clean and sanitize my HVAC system. A very positive experience.

Joe was very professional on the phone. He gave me a small time window, but was late, but he called to tell me when he would arrive. Joe was friendly, professional, neat and efficient. He explained everything to me. I tried to give him the opportunity to clean the duct from the dryer end to avoid going on the roof, but he would not consider doing a less-than-professional job. He also cut his return customer price for me to encourage me to have the service done more often, as my dryer use and the placement of the vent suggest we will need cleaning more often. It was a great experience with a true professional.

Joe and Eddie were prompt, pleasant to deal with and extremely professional. They were sure to let me know exactly what they were doing and gave me an approximate time and adhered to schedule. It was definitely a positive experience dealing with them and would refer them to anyone needing duct cleaning! They also let me know that duct cleaning is only needed about once every five years - which is good (some companies tell you that you need them cleaned every year?). I had work done in my house (drywall, sanding, floors) and have a baby on the way and really felt that it is a good idea to get the dust out. I feel that it has and will be helpful!

Very professional and personable, took great care to protect areas and not leave a mess. Made certain I saw duct work before and after cleaning. Thoroughly explained the procedure. Called to let me know they were running ten minutes late. Joe should give a seminar on ''how to deal with customers''. Other small business owners could benefit from his professionalism!
