When I called several A-list duct cleaners, Joe gave me the most detailed and understandable explanation of what he was going to do, and why his service stood out among the competition. I thanked him and called another service back to compare its procedure apples to apples and double-check price. Joe won hands down. One the day of service, Joe and Andrew set up quickly and without any disruption to my activities. They methodically went through the house, expertly identifying where they needed to go in the retrofitted ductwork in the 100-year-old house. He also pointed out and corrected some small problems on the outside of the furnace. He showed me an air return duct and a vent before and after--what a difference! Throughout the job, he was careful with the house's aging internal structure. The job took four hours--this is my dad's house, and the 45-year-old ducts had NEVER been cleaned. He also pulled gobs of lint from the dryer vent, which my elderly father had not been able to clean anymore. Cleanup was minimal and quick. Joe had quoted based on the job taking up to three hours, but he stuck to the quote. And he's probably the most cheerful contractor I've ever worked with. Finally, I was happy to give the job to someone who is based in my neighborhood. All around, Joe was great to work with. I would absolutely recommend Joe to anyone, and I'll have him clean the dryer vent in my condo. He's a total pro!

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BETTER EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD WITH AN ANGIES LIST PROVIDER. THE CLEANER ARRIVED PROMPTLY, COMPLETED THE WORK AND CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. THIS WAS THE EASIEST PART OF THE JOB SINCE WHILE HE WAS HERE MY TENANT BROKE HER ARM IN A FALL IN THE YARD. JOE(THE SERVICE PROVIDER) ASSISTED BOTH OF US WHILE THE AMBULANCE CAME AND MADE SURE THAT I FELT COMFORTABLE LEAVING TO ACCOMPANY HER TO THE HOSPITAL. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND THEIR EMPLOYEE - I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, NOT ONLY FOR THEIR PROFESSIONALISM, BUT FOR BEING PEOPLE WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE EXPECTED.

Work was top notch. It took them about 40 minutes to complete the job. Very thorough, professionial and friendly. Explained what he was doing and all the various components he cleaned.

Joe was a true professional, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. Though the service costs a bit more than we expected, we feel comfortable in knowing things were done RIGHT. Joe and Mike even offered suggestions to help keep our dryer vents clear and offered their thoughts as to what may be the mechanical issue with one of the dryers that was not drying clothes...they were spot on!

They responded quickly to my request, quoted a price over the phone, explained the process, answered my questions and did a thorough job. Would definitely hire them again. They recommended another cleaning in 3 years, based on our usage of the dryer. I thought their price was also reasonable.

It went really well and they did a great job. They took the time to explain the process. It became clear that the prior owners really did not do much upkeep and really spent the time making sure that they cleaned and sanitized the air ducts. I would really recommend them to anyone.

These guys were pros: very professional, timely, courteous and hard-working. Absolutely aces for this kind of work, which most people like me need and don't even know they need it.

Joe was very informative, attempted to diagnose the problem, made recommendations and did some additional work as a courtesy even though the problem was not related to the previously performed duct work. He did not charge for either the service call or the additional work. I hope people do not take advantage of Joe's willingness to be helpful, but he is a very knowledgeable individual and wants to do right by his customers.

They were good. They arrived on time and got the job done. They gave us some suggestions on how we can avoid our problem in the future. Their price was a little more than what we expected.

Joe was very easy work with. He arrived on time and did an excellent job. When he arrived he went through exactly what he was going to do and had me look in to the ducts to get a "before" view. He cleaned everything up when he was done

I called them to get the dryer duct and vent in our 90-year-old condo cleaned after roofing materials fell into our vent during the course of getting the roof replaced. Joe came out within 2 days to do the work. As it turns out, the dryer vent had probably not been cleaned since before we bought the condo 5 years ago. It was awful! Joe and his assistant (a teenager? maybe his son?) pulled a shirt out of our dryer vent, cleaned everything, and secured the exhaust hood for us. He also alerted us to a dip in our roof where water was collecting. At every step of the cleanout, he explained to me what he was doing, and why, and he asked my permission before doing additional work (securing the exhaust hood).

The work is a bit messy but they were careful and cleaned up very well.

They showed up within 15 minutes of appointed time. Joe and his assistant were friendly, well-mannered, and professional. They went into every unit and cleaned the dryers, and even made minor repairs along the way. Joe took the time to answer questions and talk to the residents about maintenance and improvements. The vents had not been cleaned for years -- if ever -- and the vents were confusingly installed and in disrepair; so Joe did do some grumbling about the working conditions and the quoted price, but he remained reasonable and ultimately honored the quote.

The workers from Chicago Duct Cleaning did a good job but they forgot to connect some things. They were okay. They were on time and they cleaned up after themselves. Their price wasn't as reasonable as I though it could be.

We have had a positive experience with them. They arrived when they said they would arrive. They gave me an estimate, and they kept the estimate. Aside from the fact that the whole project seemed to cost a lot more than it should, they did a good job. They had a big machine set out in the backyard. They were using a huge vacuum to go through the entire duct work system in the house. It had never been done in 40 years, so it was quite challenging for them to do it.

I had purchased the 1927 home two months ago. I had my hardwood on the 1st and 2nd floor (1500 square foot of floor) completely removed and install new flooring. There was a lot of dust in the vent and due to the age of the building, the vents were really dirty. Joe also took great effort to remove wood stain/finish that was in the vents where he could. Very well. He had two machines - One for blowing and one for vacuuming. He also had a mechnical brush used to clean the inside to the vents. After the initial cleaning, I notice that my wife forgot to show Joe an obscure vent in a bathroom (covered). He agreed to come back (drive an hour from the north side to the south side) to clean it out. He did this on a Saturday for free. I really appreciated this "above and beyond" - He really cares about his work and takes great pride in providing "customer satisfaction." I will definitely use him again.

Excellent CDC was called to first perform dryer vent cleaning. They were having a special on air duct cleaning, so we had them perform this service as well. Joe and Jeremy were professional from start to finish. We live in a townhome, and our dryer vent hood is located on the roof A 40" ladder was needed. Since we did not have a ladder, Joe and Jeremy did their best to clean the dryer vent from inside our home. They did everything they could to make sure the line was clear,however we noticed our dryer was still having problems. I spoke to Joe, and he explained that he needed to get on the roof. He and Jeremy came out the same week, got up on the roof by putting a ladder from our balcony to the roof (on a wet and rainy day I must add), and they cleaned the vent from the roof. It worked, and we are extremely thankful to have had such a concientious, professional team working for us. Regarding the air duct work, they did a great job, showed us what they found in our ducts (crayons, foil, dirt, soot.......) I believe it has made a difference to our air quality.

It looked like a one guy operation to me. He was thorough and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He stayed within the given estimate. He was also punctual and professional.

Joe did a terrific job! My dryer is running much more efficiently and I have peace of mind in that all duct work is up to code!

The guy who cleaned out my ducts did a nice job cleaning out all of the dust and debris. He was very friendly and courteous. He did a great job cleaning up after himself. I felt the price was very reasonable for the work he did.

Called him and got a great deal of information over the phone (had never used such a service before although friends have had this done when moving into a home). This really made me excited about doing something good for my house as well as good for my health. Particularly pertinent given my house is 70 years old and it's quite possible this had never been done. I surmised as such from having removed the covers from some cold air returns and seen the accumulation of a great deal of crud. Joe and Jeremy came out exactly as planned and spent a good 4 hours working on the house. The system he uses is far superior to the shop vac approach taken by many firms for less money. He had explained his equipment over the phone, and I was sold on it and seeing it in practice was affirmation of the merits. As the process was concluding, he showed me what he had gotten out of the vents. It was shocking to me and made me oh so glad I had sprung for the cost. There was NO mess as a result of the work, in any rooms or in the basement, as their removal equipment is so highly efficient. That was very, very good. I was absolutely thrilled with my decision and will contact them again in 8 years or so to have them look things over again. Duct cleaning should be done periodically.

We live in a condo on the third and fourth floor, we have two furnaces, one on each floor and no elevator. After organizing an appointment to clean the air ducts, he determined that our condo was impossible to do the work because his equipment could not reach up to those floors. He did not give any suggestions on who to contact but was very professional.
