Description of Work: Remodeled 2nd floor of condo - living room/dining room area. Ran and installed gas fireplace, built new fireplace surround, tiled surround, installed new lighting, designed and built custom entertainment unit, refinished and stained hardware flooring. Painted hallways, second floor, and ceilings. |Did an expert job. Good at making recommendations for alternatives to design. Second large remodel I hired them for - they are my preferred contractor.

Description of Work: Chicago Custom Remodeling Inc did a gut remodel of my condo bathroom (6x8). Al (owner/contractor) did an excellent job. I had very specific requirements for a new tub and he ordered one that is perfect. The tile work took longer than expected because the walls were not plum and Al had to make a lot of adjustments rather than just throwing up the tile as the developer had done. The tile looks fabulous! He even created a custom cubby (niche) for my shampoo bottles that my friends are envious of. At first I was hesitant to give keys to any contractor but Al was responsive to all my questions and requests for information prior to receiving a deposit and signed contract that by the time the remodel started, I had no qualms about giving him a set of keys. He is a licensed contractor with the proper insurance (general liability and workers compensation) in place. He does not try to upsell any services or products. His price is very reasonable and he does all the work himself instead of hiring a lot of subs. If needed, he provides suggestions for a designer or showrooms to visit. I plan to call him in a couple months to remodel my kitchen.
