I called Charlie on a Saturday morning when I noticed the pipe was leaking. He came over within a couple of hours and fixed the problem on the spot. Very professional, knew what he was doing and explained everything as he was doing the work.

Charlie responded to my late evening call within minutes and showed up at my door within an hour. Charlie quickly resolved the issue and even showed me how the system worked. Reasonable price too for coming out so late.

I've used Charlie before and always appreciate his skill. This was- thankfully--a minor issue. Pipes had frozen while I was away (how 'bout this winter, y'all?). Charlie came out right away, crawled into our dismal crawlspace, and within 15 minutes figured out where he needed to "perform surgery" to get at the frozen water main within the walls. Clean, quick, and professional. What I like about Charlie is that he will do what is most efficient, but also recommend possible fixes and enhancements down the road if you choose to do them. No pressure, just good solid advice.

Charlie was extremely responsive, punctual, courteous, and did excellent work. He really knows his stuff and I highly recommend him for your next plumbing job.

Charlie and Junior were awesome. I could not have been more pleased with the work they did and their responsiveness. Without a doubt, I would call Charlie again for any sort of plumbing, sewer or gas issue. We had a gas leak under the range that was detected on a routine Peoples Gas inside safety check. Because the valve/hose were inside the house, instead of near the meter, the Peoples Gas guy turned off the gas to one of our meters around 1:30 in the afternoon until we could have it repaired. This left us without hot water, furnace and stove (or so we thought) for the basement and 1st floor. I called Charlie around 2:30 that day, he was on site by 5:15. Since we have 2 gas meters, Charlie was smart to check everything, because it turned out that the Peoples Gas guy actually didn't turn off the meter that supplied the range. (Our house is over 100 yrs old - originally a 3 flat that has since been renovated a nunber of times prior to our ownership.) I had bought the parts at Home Depot, and Charlie replaced the valve and connector hose. He also checked our 2nd furnace and fireplace and labeled my meters for me. Our leak was repaired quickly, neatly and Charlie and Junior walked out of here in by 6:15. Called Peoples Gas, and they were back here at 10:30pm same night to turn the gas back on. It's good to have heat and hot water again. Especially in November. Thanks, Charlie!

On Sunday, the disposal became detached and fell to the bottom of the cabinet. This disposal was installed 09/09/2012 and the one year labor warranty had just expired. I called that company and left a message about emergency service, but never got a response until the next day. For a variety of reasons, It was important to get the disposal reattached that evening. I went to Angie?s list and found CHARLIE'S PLUMBING HEATING & SEWERAGE SERVICE INC ? not only did his company have excellent reviews, but had extensive operating hours including weekends. We spoke and he came within the hour around 5:30 and reattached the disposal. I would highly recommend this company. Charlie, the owner, was professional and courteous. His card says 'quality work and faster service? and that is an apt description of his company. And on top of that, his price was extremely reasonable.

The first time I used Charlie was to fix a basement leak originating from a refrigerator water line. He answered promptly and provided me with options with competitive estimates. His repairs were within estimate. He also gave me reasonable advice on how to fix the resultant water damage. The second time I used Charlie was to address a water leak on a rental property. I left him a message on a Sunday and he promptly returned my call in 15 minutes. He then called my tenants to assess the problem. He determined the problem was with a misplaced water line and talked my tenant through a simple fix on the telephone. He could have arranged a weekend visit and made a quick buck. But instead he did the right thing and talk us through the fix free of charge. I would highly recommend Charlie's business.

I noticed there was water in the cabinet under my kitchen sink. I turned on the kitchen faucet and noted the U drain was dripping water. I placed a pot under the drip with a towel under the pot. I then did a search on Angie's list to find a plumber. The first name that came up was Charlies Plumbing - Heating and Sewerage Service. I noted on the map that he had done work in my area. Since it was late in the day, I waited until morning to call. Charlie answered his phone after just a few rings. I told him my problem and where I lived. He stated he was at a job and would call me later. He called a few hours later and stated he could stop by and check out the problem. True to his word, he rang the bell and Charlie and a co worker diagnosed the problem quickly - the pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced. He had the part that needed replacement and completed the job. I would definitely call Charlies Plumbing again and recommend his plumbing services.

People's Gas, on a routine check of the lines, found two leaks on our main gas line into our condo building. People's Gas put us through the ringer (wish we could Angie's List them because they would get an F-) Tried a different provider to fix the leaks and they never called back. Called Charlie and it went AWESOME! I told him the situation...we even had to reschedule twice because People's Gas couldn't do what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it...Charlie flexed every time and worked around the delays. On top of that he is a great guy and easy to talk to. Followed up with phone calls every time I called. Even followed up the day after the work was done to make sure everything was good. Work was excellent...service excellent!!

We live on the 2nd floor of a 3-flat and our toilet was leaking into the 1st floor bathroom. We called Charlie at 2pm and he showed up within a few hours. Not only did he diagnose and fix the problem (replaced wax ring and bolts), he went the extra mile by waiting an extra 30 minutes for our downstairs neighbors to get home so he could double check the leak was fixed. Charlie was professional, courteous, competitively priced, and went the extra distance. I enthusiastically recommend Charlie and his team.

Came to figure out what was wrong with an old toilet that wasn't flushing. I was sure it wasn't clogged. Charlie ended up replacing the toilet. He took care of the whole thing, from diagnosing the issue to getting the replacement toilet and installation. Very professional and great to work with! Absolutely recommended!

My toilet was leaking from the base after every flush. I called Charlie's Plumbing after consulting Angie's list and seeing the excellent reviews on his previous services. He agreed to come out the next day to analyze my problem. Charlie and his partner (I'm sorry I forgot his name) showed up in the given time frame, removed the toilet, and immediately diagnosed the problem. He explained to me that my floor was too low for the base of the toilet causing water to seep out when the toilet was flushed. He explained he could temporarily fix the toilet, but unless i had a valve put in to raise the toilet to floor level, I would experience the problem again in the future. We agreed that he would pick up the valve needed and return the next day to install it. He showed up the next day, took time to sodder the valve so it fit perfectly. He explained the whole process to me while he was doing it tand completed the job without a hitch. Both he and his partner were friendly, and took the time to explain everything to me who knows nothing about plumbing. I found Charlie and his partner to be very nice guys, very knowledgeable and confident about their plumbing skills, and reasonable in their plumbing rates. Charlie also said he works in heating, and I intend to have him service my heater unit in October.

All I have to say it that if you don't call this vendor, you are missing a great opportunity to use one of the best plumbers I've used - ever!

We called Charlie late on Tuesday afternoon. He answered, said he could come that evening, and called us back when he was on his way. He and his partner were wonderful. They had our pipes fixed within an hour! They were pleasant, and we will definitely use them again in the future!

Charlie came out on a Sunday to fix a persistently running toilet, and while he was there he also diagnosed and fix a problem which was causing the tank to fill up very slowly. He took the time to explain what the problem was, and what the fix was. He also stuck around to discuss a few other issues with my newly purchased condo, including the water heater, the furnace, and the refrigerator. All in all, Charlie was a very friendly guy and I'll be using him again.

Everything went well from my initial call to the completion of the job. My faucet leak is no more. Thanks for the wonderful service.

Charlie recommended a repair that was much cheaper and just as effective as those suggested by other plumbers. I would definitly use him again!

I thought Charlie was very knowledgeable about my water heater. I didn't feel overcharged. He came to do the job and he just charged me what the job was going to require and even though he had to come back that day, he didn't overcharge me. He was on time.

The tenants in my condo emailed me Sunday night on July 4th weekend to say that both sides of the kitchen sink had filled with black gunk after they tried to use the garbage disposal. The water / black gunk was stagnant in the sink, and the disposal didn't seem to be working. I called multiple plumbers and most were booked up for 2-3 days because it was right after a holiday weekend. In that round of calls, I had left a message for Charlie, and he called back within the hour. He said he was booked all day but would see if he could get to the condo at the end of the day or first thing the following day. He also happened to mention that he worked until 6 pm. When my tenants contacted me at about 6:30 pm to say they hadn't heard from Charlie, I guessed that some jobs had run over and the day got hectic and he just couldn't get to our job. But then 5 minutes later, he actually called to say he on his way. I was impressed by that because he went out of his way to help us and worked at least two hours longer than he had planned to. That's good customer service -- and the sign of someone with a strong work ethic. Within an hour or two, he had the sink unclogged and restored to normal -- no need to replace the garbage disposal or anything else. He called me when it was all done to explain everything, and he offered to email me an invoice. I didn't have to provide a credit card over the phone, which would have been fine but an invoice is nice, too, because I can pay it with my other bills. He even called after he send the invoice to make sure I received it. Overall, I was impressed by his work ethic and his overall attitude. He was professional on the phone but very nice and cordial. I had called another plumbing company, and they were polite and professional but came off as a little too corporate -- almost a little cold. Charlie was the complete opposite.

The faucet started leaking badly as we approached the 4th of July holiday. Charlie graciously slipped me into the schedule. He arrived and tried to repair the leak, but determined that the old faucet was not designed to allow the replacement of tubes which appeared to be the source of the leak. Charlie made sure that the water was turned off for this faucet and provided several recommendations of local businesses that might carry the older faucet. He also agreed to return the following weekend if I was able to secure the replacement faucet during the upcoming week. He was extremely professional and efficient.

There's no question many consumers approach repair projects like mine with a bit of fear and trepidation. Will it be done right? Will the cost be reasonable? Will they show up? Charlie is terrific, period. It's Saturday. Right there you expect issues and the first place I contacted said, "that will be double overtime." No thanks. So we reached out to Charlie who made himself available within a couple of hours. He is a reasonable and personable man. Explains what he's doing. Makes observations and suggestions on other improvements; valuable advice to have. He came with an associate to help. Checked his work. Cleaned up the area under the sink. Nicely done. So here's the recommendation: if you need help with plumbing, call Charlie. Likely you'll be happy...might even enjoy the conversation, too.

Everything went well. Charlie was available when nobody else was, and I was VERY happy to have found him. He showed up, was professional, figured things out, and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help us out (get us hot water). Will use Charlie whenever possible in the future.

First HOT day of the year ...and the AC wouldn't kick in! Called Charlie...unfortunately, he doesn't do AC work. Oh well. I thanked him for his time and hung up to call someone else. Before I could dial another company, Charlie called me back and offered to walk me through a few possible fixes for the problem. I'll be darned if one of his fixes didn't actually work! Thanks Charlie! I'm cool as I type this. No service call necessary. I'd hire Charlie again (for the first time ;) whenever I have a heating or plumbing issue!
