I had met and interviewed numberous remodeling companies for our large remodeling project but as soon as I met with Paudie Lynch, owner of Celtic Development, I knew he was the one. Paudie was extremely knowledgable and spent an extensive amount of time over several meetings before we finalized the design and begun the work. He is an expert at pinpointing and problem solving various home related issues and he is very honest, fair, hard working and a true craftsman with 30+ years experience...we could not have done it without him and his team! The job turned out AMAZING...we feel like we live in a completely different house! We are truely satisfied with the work of Celtic Development. I will be recommending Paudie to everyone and will definitely be using him in the future for any future remodeling/ construction projects!!!
Description of Work: Paudie and his team did a fabulous job designing and building out an unfinished basement just over 1,000 square feet including demolition, all new electrical and plumbing, drywall, tiles, doors and trim, kitchenette with bar, custom bathroom, custom fireplace and painting. The basement also included a office, a laundry room, a large pantry room, 2 sets of stairs and additional closet space. In addition, they built a beautiful custom kitchen and a mud room on the first floor and they plastered, sanded and freshly painted the enitre first floor because our walls were cracking and the paint had chipped over the years.
We bought a house that had no maintenance done to it in the past thirty years. Wood paneling, lemon yellow grease-stained walls, along with Formica counter tops were just some of the many eyesores. It was horrible (see pictures). After getting a bid from a big time remodeling company who were all about the up-sale, and not about what we wanted, it was refreshing to meet with Paudi Lynch from Celtic Development. He took our ideas, innovated on them, and we ended up with a beautiful new mudroom (formerly coined the torture chamber for its dark interior, suspect stained carpet, and overall creepiness), complete with one coat closet, and one storage space, a brand new pantry off the kitchen, as well as an extended guest bedroom with a walk in closet. Best of all we ended up with a beautiful new kitchen that surpassed our wildest dreams. Paudi was able to hook us up with all sorts of deals. He referred us to a cabinet maker that gave us 60% off in total costs. He also took care of all of our debris left over from other home improvement projects. Even when huge surprises showed up, like no hard wood floor under the old cabinets, he was able to reuse some materials from our old pantry, and repair the floor with no extra cost. He even took care of our electrical paneling even though that wasn't part of the original plan. Even though we are doing the painting ourselves, he made sure everything was primed and ready to go when he was done. Paudi is a true craftsman. He takes a lot of pride in his work, and his attention to detail is impressive. We couldn't be happier with the overall space, and we can't wait until he can start working on our upstairs some day.
Description of Work: -Demo: Celtic completely removed all everything from our kitchen, mudroom, pantry, and guest bedroom. He closed off the rest of the house to protect from dust. -Framing: They framed all of the ceilings, and walls within the first week of starting construction -Dry-Wall: The walls were put in over the course of three days, very nice job done -Floor: They repaired parts that were missing under the old cabinets, and tiled the pantry and mudroom -Door: Installed a new door with windows offering light to formerly dark mudroom. Also moved the door's location to provide room for coat closet in mudroom -Kitchen: Installed beautiful maple cabinets, and hardware. -Plumbing: Moved location of sink, and added garbage disposal to kitchen area -Electric: Added lighting (cans) throughout kitchen to make beautiful bright space, and energy efficient. Also put in lighting under cabinets. Replaced electric panel that did not pass our home inspection, thus no more blowing out the fuse box while microwave and electric kettle are on at the same time.
