Description of Work: CAVAL inspected a third floor ceiling fixture that had been sparking and had lightly scorched CFL bulbs being used. The problem was detected and fixed in a very short time. Very pleased with the service.

 + -1 moreThe first time I was supposed to meet Carlos he canceled on me a few days early which I find very professional, most contractors who don't care will not bother telling you they won't make it. They rescheduled and were able to do the job on the spot and saw a potential wiring problem but figured out a way to get around it. What do you look for in a contractor to do a job? On time, fair price, getting the job thoroughly done. They accomplished all 3, I will contact them for future jobs.

 + 0 moreIt went very well, although when they found out about how bad the prior wiring job was, they did raise the estimate by $200 to cover the added cost related to the new circuit and conduit. It seemed very reasonable.
Description of Work: Our upstairs apartment (we have 2 flat) had power out in the kitchen. It turns out the original contractor who remodeled the kitchen did not properly place the circuits and junction boxes, so it was impossible to find where the junction boxes were without breaking open some very expensive granite tiling along the length of the kitchen. (A previous neighborhood electrician had tried to figure it and out, and he never came back!) To prevent mutilation of the kitchen, they ran an outside circuit along the wall in the back of the building and was able to restore the electricity that way, by coming in the back of the cabinetry and granite, much to our relief. They also did a number of other electrical jobs while they were there including adding new lights to the front gate, repairing some bad outlets in our our apartment, etc.
