C V Hardwood Flooring

We chose C V based on recommendations from our NextDoor community and were glad we did. After looking at some quotes from other providers, we felt Vasile came up with the best price and value adding additions to the job that just made sense. His team was there on time as promised and completed the job on time. They were careful with the job site and cleaned up well afterwards. We are in the midst of deciding what to do with an entranceway and stairs but you can bet if we go with wood, we will be calling C V for the job...

Vasile and his team did a tremendous job! The master bedroom previously had carpeting on it to cover over two different types of wood and concrete. Vasile refinished the original wood that was still good, installed salvaged wood so that it would match what was originally there, and added base boards where necessary. I was completely satisfied and happy with the job that C V Hardwood Flooring did and heartily recommend them!

To be brief, they did the job exactly as requested, within the agreed upon time frame, on budget and with an eye to every detail. I could not have been more happy.

Vasile's hardwood floor work in our 1950s home was fabulous! After closely inspecting the floors he offered a very reasonable proposal to replace damaged planks, strip, sand, buff, stain and varnish the floors throughout the entire house. Once the floor was striped, Vasile applied several color samples on the floor for me to choose from. It was so much easier and more precise to decide on a stain color from the actual floor samples rather than choosing one from a wood chip board. Vasile also brought samples of different styles of baseboard trims and base shoes for me to look at and choose, and supplied me with relevant literature pertaining to hardwood floors. He kept me informed of the progress every step of the way, by calling, sending me texts and pictures of the work being done, meeting me at the house to show me the work in progress, and to discuss a few things that needed extra attention. The work was finished within the proposed time frame and the final product was a beautiful golden oak hardwood floor. Vasile was very easy to work with and his craftsmanship was first rate. I would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again in the future.

This is the second time I've used C V Hardwood to refinish floors, and I've been very happy both time.s The work is done efficiently and neatly, Vasile is very particular over details, and the floors look great!

Our hardwood floors were in pretty rough shape and hadn't been refinished in years. They were pretty worn down with scratches and traffic marks. We also wanted to replace the ceramic tile in our kitchen. We had gotten 3 estimates for the job. CV flooring was a bit less expensive then the others but Vasilie was the most responsive. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. He and his crew showed up on time. They were friendly and professional. The floors are beautiful and look like new. We are very happy with the end result and would hire CV flooring again.

Charles and his crew were extremely professional and did a superb job refinishing our floors. We were extremely happy with the end results. We were provided several options for floor finishing and a detailed explanation of what work needed to be done prior to accepting their quote.

Our experience with Vasile and his staff was excellent and the cost was well worth it. He was quick and punctual with the initial visit and estimate, and he kept his promises on the timing of the actual job. He presented us with various options, explained the pros and cons of each, and pointed out some potential issues that we hadn't considered. The work that they did was outstanding. Furthermore, they did not drag it out -- they finished in two-and-a-half days, partly by working one night until 11:30pm. Some electrical problems arose during the job, and he got his own electrician to come out and take care of it, and did not try to pass along that added cost to us. Overall we recommend him enthusiastically.

Went well,Took a little bit longer than expected . But we were given an exclamation,Which was exceptable with my husband and I. WHEN the owner Vasile came for the initial estimate, he came well prepared with sample flooring colors. This helped us to make a better decision, Also he gave us several proposal options.For instance>, I didn't think I needed my Base boards done. But was given an option to remove old base boards , apply new ones. ,I choose the colonial style. So my base boards match my flooring... The samples were left with me which really helped . I started with a much lighter color, like neutral, But when I saw this warmer color Gunstock I choose this and we love theFloor. It was worth the wait..

They were highly professional; the floors are gorgeous. They worked around my timeframes. They were very customer focused - provided us with sample colors on our floors to get a good sense of color options. I had 5 areas where the floor squeaks drove me crazy. They eliminated them! I am so pleased with these folks and the top customer service. The place is alike a new remodeled home.

the guys showed up on time and prepared the rooms that would not be sanded and did their thing, it was a two day process to sand and stain living room/dining room but the wait was worth it. my floors are so beautiful I hate to walk or anyone else to walk on them. I will be using them again to do the bedrooms.

It went very well--he was always on time from the beginning (bid to completion) or he called to say exactly what was happening. He itemized every detail of the expenses, wanting me to know exactly what I was paying for, gave appropriate advice, helped me understand the process, the materials, the look etc. He kept his workers in line--they had to be on time. He told me how to care for the floors and was very personable.

We just purchased a house and needed our main floors refinished and a couple of stains removed. We called up CV Flooring and Vaseli, the owner, answered and arranged to stop by for a quote. Vaseli arrived for the quote and spelled out all our options, prepared a quote to refinish and replace about 60 boards. Since we had a scheduled move we asked Vaseli to meet a very demanding time table which, he assured us during the quote was not a problem. Needless to say, we went ahead with Vaseli and immediately he went to work on the floors. Since most of the stains were due to pet urine we appreciated Vaseli's thoroughness when replacing any boards that could have been contaminated. Throughout the process he kept us informed of his progress by sending pics via texts from his phone, which worked out well! The job was completed in an amazing 2 days!! The finished product was better than we could have imagined!! Just to show how easy Vaseli is to work with, during the final walk through Vaseli was willing to correct any perceived imperfections by us with no questions asked. Considering the shortened timetable, the floors looked tremendous, we were very pleased with the craftsmanship and look of the floors. Also, we cannot say enough about how easy it was to work with Vaseli, as far as, getting status updates and guiding us through the process. The price for the work was the exact same amount on the quote, it was was nice to see that despite the thoroughness of the work, there was no creep from the quote to the final price.There was a misunderstanding concerning a possible discount via a coupon from Angie's List. We thought it was a 10% discount since we found him on Angie's List, but we needed a coupon which was never found on Angie's List. In general if there is any sort of Angie's List discount discussed be sure that both parties are in agreement about the qualifications. We were able to find a middle ground concerning the discount which was satisfactory to both parties. Also, we read about how saw dust will be all over the house after the refinishing. Sure enough there was saw dust all over. A piece of advice for anyone thinking of refinishing would be to discuss with the contractor the types of covering they will use to minimize the amount of saw dust throughout the house. Vaseli and his team are definite craftsman that made our old floors look like new!! There focus on the work, may be why some of the administrative things were not as smooth as we would have liked. Overall we were happy with his service and would be happy to recommend for future jobs for ourselves and friends.

They were very professional, timely, provided high-quality service and work. They did a great job on 70+ year old floors, making them look like new.

This was absolutely one of the best home improvement projects I have ever had!!! Vasile is professional and answered my calls and explained the process and was always on time. It was so nice for him to take the time to give me the samples to pick from on the floor. I was nervous about leaving town while the work was being done, but Vasile sent pictures of the progress and even my neighbor commented on how late they stayed on friday night to get the job done!! The guys did a great job taping up the second floor and cleaning up. The dust was minimal and clean up was nothing much. I had a painter in the next week and he commented on what a great job they did and how my baseboards looked great. The painter said he comes in after floor refinishing because the guys have torn up the baseboard but that might looked like they had not been touched! The price was right. The work was excellent. It was a great experience. I have already got my Mom trying to figure out when she is getting her floors done!

Vasile was great to work with. He measured and wrote an estimate on Monday, and was prepared to start work the very next day. He's cheerful and professional - and obviously knows his craft. He had an assistant on the first day, but did the bulk of the work himself. This is his business - he's not just the estimator and boss. They meticulously scraped and sanded the old varnish from the floor, which is difficult and tedious work. A 220 volt power sander is a very nice tool, but it can't get close to edges, door frames, etc. That means a lot of time on hands and knees, and these guys worked hard. Due to the dust and the smell of the various products, I left Vasile in my (empty) house without hesitation. I asked him to let himself out through the back door and lock it behind him. It never crossed my mind to be concerned about having him there without me. Each morning, when I returned, the door was locked and all their supplies and tools were neatly cleared up. This trust made working with Vasile extremely simple and pleasant. He had my cell phone number in case of anything unexpected. After the first coat of stain went down, he went out of his way to text me several photos of the work in progress. The results are great. We chose a "natural" stain for the great old maple floor and a satin finish (not dull, but not mirror-glossy either). It looks like a new floor. We would absolutely hire him again, and recommend him without hesitation.

The work took 3 days due to dry time for oil based finish, but the result was worth it. We are very happy with the final result. They took care to cover kitchen cabinets and tape off the upstairs with plastic before sanding. I felt they did a good job of minimizing sanding dust and cleaning up. They finished the work on time and Vasile took the time to oversee each step was done properly. Our neighbor had recommended him, and we are very satisfied with the work completed and will also recommend him in the future.

We've been putting off this job for years because of the hassle involved but I'm so glad we finally did it. The floors look gorgeous and Vasile made it as least stressful as possible. He was easy to work with. He was always available by phone or text and came the next day after I requested an estimate. His estimate was slightly lower than the other one I received but what I liked was that he gave us a range of options for type of finish, while the other gentleman insisted it be oil based finish. He was able to start the job a few days later and finished in two days like he promised. We appreciated his help in moving the furniture in and out. Guests have been exclaiming how beautiful the floors look - and I couldn't agree more! I get happy every time I see them. I highly recommend this company.

Vasile replied promptly to my phone message and made an appointment for the free estimate. After explaining my options and the different finishes, he gave me a written estimate. He was a little higher than my other estimates, but we decided to use him. After we called to confirm the job, he delivered the wood in two days and his crew started the job on time. They were very courteous. The only problem was one man tardiness. However, he did stay late every night until he was finished. They put up blue tape and plastic to cut down on the dust. They did a beautiful job. You can barely seel where my living room floor(old) stops and my hall floor(new) starts. Price was as quoted in the estimate. The quality of the work was excellent.

They were on time, and due to the type of finish, warned us that we'd have to be out of the house for a couple of days while it dried. They did a good job of minimizing wood dust from the sanding, and even applied one additional coat to ensure that the new coating will last.

Vasile did a great job refinishing our combo kitchen/living/dining room plus a family room. He started and finished on the arranged days. The floors look great and the price was excellent. We went with a water based poly which kept the fumes to a minimum. Sanding floors creates a LOT of dust. We used blue tape and plastic to seal off the kitchen cabinets and the bedrooms, really glad we did. It made clean-up much easier. Don't forget to shut the heat/AC vents in adjacent rooms. They did the work for the price quoted, no ups or extras. I would use CV floors again and have recommened them to others.

For the most part, the contractor did what they were supposed to do, but it was the quality of the result that displeased me. I had new wooden floors installed in two bedrooms; and they were supposed to re-surface the existing floors of my condo using a dustless system. Well, it was anything but dustless! When they finished, there was fine wood dust EVERYWHERE! They did not even bother to clean up the dust. In addition, they re-used existing baseboards and trim, but did such a sloppy job with broken pieces, holes left exposed, and the fittings not finished well. When I called the contractor back, he insisted that any painter could fill-in with putty and make it look just fine. Well, I've done serious woodworking and while I know this to be fairly true, I also know that it takes a lot of time. To be fair, the contractor offered to install new baseboards and trim, but at my cost! ...and not to nit pick, the contractor did also leave unaddressed a significant number of wood imperfections that should have been addressed as part of the sanding and re-finishing. Finally, don't do what I did: Trust that the contractor would pay careful attention to all of the details as I would. I should have "hovered" a lot more than I did. I treated him as a professional and left him to do a conscientious job...that was my mistake.
