The roofing company that handled the hail damage on my house subcontracted the painting part of that work to C&W Building Services. C & W Building in turn outsourced the work to another contractor, a single individual. That person worked alone to paint the house with a paint brush. That took close to two weeks to complete. Not the best turn around time considering other house being painted around the same time in my neighborhood. The second issue with C & W Building Services was the number of coatings they put on my house. Just one. The contract between the roofing company and C & W Building Services clearly stated two coats. After the work was done, I could clear see a difference in color between my garage wall, and the upper level of my house. The further back I walked from the house, the more evident the color difference became. Vice President, Jim Swicionis (James E Swicionis) argued that there was no difference in color. He went on to say that he only did one coat on all his customers houses, and that the left/right movement of the hand brush equated to +2 coats of paint on the house. He said there was no need to let the paint dry, and then apply another coat. The other painters I spoke to, including Sherwin Williams where I bought the paint from, said differently. After much arguing, Jim Swicionis agreed to have his sub-contractor do just the upper level of the house with a second coat, but refused to paint the shutters (which we wanted done), saying the paint would not work well on the shutters because they were plastic. The roofing company was forced to find another paint company to paint the shutters. Worst part of this whole experience was the manner in which Jim Swicionis spoke to us. He was very condescending, and did not want to accommodate our requests/issues/etc.
Description of Work: Worked via another company to do painting on my house.

The owner Jim Swicionis, and his GM Rory Gallaher were knowledgeable and polite, and cleaned up after the demolition and throughout the process. The charged exactly the price they quoted and when Rory had to buy a bracket to re-install our microwave (since it was not installed properly before the demolition and it was the only kitchen appliance we re-used in the project,) he wouldn't even take money for it. C & W Building did great work, on time and were really nice to work with and I never worried about leaving them alone in my home while I went to work. They gave good cousel throughout the project too.
Description of Work: C & W Building Services, inc., managed a complete gut and re-hab of our kitchen. It's Jim Swicionis' business and he assigned Rory Gallagher as our General Manager or Project Manager. Both men were really talented and always called me back anytime I left a message or sent a text. Best of all this company and Jim and Rory really know how to work in a high-rise building with strict rules about demolition and remodeling. Even the building managers at our high-rise and the condo association were impressed with their skill level and knowledge about working in a high-rise. They just made the entire job pleasant.
