Budget Right Handyman

All punch list items were repaired, installed or replaced as needed.

Scotty, the technician, was not only prompt, but he arrived a few minutes early. Additional material was required for fitting the door properly, as well as purchasing a doorknob and deadbolt for the door (which we hadn't purchased with the door). Scotty acquired those, made the adjustments, and installed the door properly all within a 4 hour time frame. We are very pleased with the fit, the look, and it met inspection requirements to boot.

I had the worst experience with Budget Handyman. I had an appointment scheduled at 9, but the guy just walked away saying that he was not qualified to put up flush mount ceiling lights (the reviews on Amazon from common folk say that this is super easy). I indicated to the company what the project entails, and they still sent someone who supposedly couldn't handle the job. Then they rescheduled, but the second person came 90 minutes late. My entire plan for this Saturday was ruined. My request was mismanaged in a major way. Twice!

Mario C was scheduled to arrive at 8 am on a rainy Saturday. He arrived a few minutes early and got right to work. He installed the range hood quickly, but noticed that the cabinet over the hood was sagging. He showed me and offered to reinforce it. He checked the wall behind and around it, went back to his truck to get an additional tool, then reinforced that cabinet and the one next to it that was also sagging. He then inspected the curio cabinet socket, switch, and outlet. He was able to get the light on, said that the switch may need to be replaced in time. He finished everything in an hour even with the unexpected kitchen cabinet work. Throughout Mario was professional and considerate of my floors and glassware and other property. He did an excellent job, and I would recommend Budget Right to my friends.

I was extremely pleased with the work down and the clean-up afterward. I will definitely use your service the next time I need repairs around the house.

Wonderfully! Stu McLean was prompt, personable, and capable. He finished the replacement process in about an hour (including a trip to a nearby home improvement store), and helped clear up a few electrical issues as well. (Another highly rated plumbing company gave a flat-rate estimate of over $850 for replacing an ejector pump. Yikes! Be sure to get several estimates.)

Art Cardona arrived on time and determined that a new fan motor was required. I preferred a Broan fan which was the original type. The fan needed to be ordered and the cost difference between a new motor or complete new fan assembly was $3.00 so we went with the complete new assembly. Because of the age of the original fan, Art determined when he arrived to install the new unit that ceiling drywall would have to be cut to install the new assembly. I preferred not to cut the drywall and Art indicated he could just replace the motor. Additionally, Art determined that the electrical outlets for the fan and light were not positioned for the new installation but was able to modify the installation of the motor in order to utilize the outlets. Even small jobs like a fan replacement occasionally are more complex then normal,but Art was able to adjust to unexpected issues and successfully give us a new operational bathroom fan.

Art did a great job! I have used Budget Right a number of times and have always been satisfied.

Hector Molina from Budget Right Handyman was quick, efficient and courteous. He completed both tasks within 1 hour, including a run to Home Depot. I find that hiring Budget Right Handyman is a much more cost effective than hiring a plumber. I've hired Budget Right Handyman for several projects and have not been disappointed yet.

The handy wasn't all that handy. I had to hold his hand through most part in installing. He was not careful or thorough with details. For example, he didn't even check to see if the door were leveled or didn't measure correctly. Overall, I would not use this service ever again. If these handy guys are any good, they wouldn't be working for hourly services.

Went fantastically well. Manny (Manuel) showed up on time, found the issue quickly, and replaced it quickly. I would definitely hire Budget Right Handyman again.

It went very well. Edgar Reyes arrived on time and called prior as I requested. He worked quickly and kept the waste localized. I was very happy with the job done and will hired this company again.

Overall this project did not go well. My impression is that Budget Right is better aligned toward smaller projects around the house. This was a 2-3 day project that ended up taking 11 days. I had to repeatedly call to get this finished. I had to specifically request that they clean up after themselves and even then they didn't do a very good job. My wife ended up cleaning up some areas because she was so annoyed. There was no follow up after the project with a final bill and what was completed and not completed. I only received individual daily invoices that I had to reconcile. Overall a lot of unnecessary work and time for a short project.

I’ve used this service roughly 3 times and they’ve been great! I recently had the kitchen sink faucet replaced. All previous work was also completed with no problems (bathroom sink replaced, bathroom lights replaced, towel racks replaced, and outside wood under gutters replaced!). I would recommend them!

Jesus Martinez did a great job assessing the project which came in at the anticipated six hours. He also went the extra mile to secure areas that could be dangerous for young children. He was a pleasure to work with. Due to the extension tool he used on his drill, the screws were not secured flush to the wood but deeper in. Considering the age of the deck (expected to be replaced in a few years), this was acceptable. When the project was done he asked I review the work and recommend any additional reinforcement. That was appreciated as well. He also replaced a rotted dowel. I supplied screws and replacement dowels. Our condo decks and stairs now feel very tight and secure.

Very well. Stewart McLean came an hour early in the morning at my request so I could get to work on time after setting him up to paint the exterior back porch steps and make minor repairs. Without me being around to supervise, he did an excellent job and even took less time than originally estimated. I was delighted.

Hector was amazing, he showed up on time, inspected the situation, and made the repair without delay! The company had prepped us about options to have materials on site or have them secure the materials. We elected to procure the materials ourselves and it saved us some serious cash. Hector was in and out in an hour and a half with a flawless repair!

Edgar was thorough and efficient. He fixed the outlet in less than 1 hour and was able to look at some fluorescent light fixtures that weren't working. Even though he didn't have time to fix them, he told me what was wrong and what I needed.
