Budget Right Handyman

Stan West was great! He was so efficient and personable. I needed general work done ranging from sealing grout lines to repairing baseboard molding to adjusting door ball hinges. He even touched up the paint on the wall that needed sanding. During the appointment, he needed to make a run to Home Depot for materials. This company policy of hourly rates including trip to store at first annoyed me, however Stan was so quick about it and finished all my projects faster than I had estimated, it was a non issue. Thank you Stan for your help!

Initial technician was not completely prepared to perform the storm door install. He did not complete job on 1st attempt. Budget sent a 2nd tech who completed the job as a professional. Budget was responsive. Would hire again.

Not as I requested. I specifically requested in writing (and reverified when the handyman got there) that I wanted #3 done “LAST” because I wanted to stay within the 2hr window. However The handyman did what he wanted to do and did it second & left my “main” issue (door weatherization) for last. Being that he did this leads me to believe he did it 2 milk the time to get extra $ in which all 3 items took 2 1/2hrs plus. On top of this the weatherization that was done actually had more air seeping through & I had to go buy some foam to attach in order to stop it. Also when I reached out to company to let them know what happened no one was contacted me. Budget did end up contacting me regarding the matter and explained why I was not followed up with initially. Another technician was sent out to resolve the issue and I am satisfied with the result

Manny did a great job and efficient, clean and got the job done. This was my second appt to get job done -- first appointment guy didn't come so I had to reschedule. I was surprised they come on Sunday's which is a big plus for me

My appointment was scheduled for Friday, February 9th, 2018. There was a weather alert on 2/6/2018 in regards to a blizzard starting 2/8/2018. I was hoping they would’ve called me the previous night to reschedule but instead waited until it was time to arrive at my home to tell me they had to cancel. This was a huge inconvenience to me because I scheduled myself to be off from work the entire weekend to get things done. Since there was no call to reschedule I figured they would still be able to make it. Sam called Friday morning at 8am to rescheduled to February 10th from 11am-4pm and also mentioned he would send over the 3rd best guy he had in the company (Mario). I mentioned to Sam over the phone there was a spot over the stairs I was worried about Mario being able to install crown molding. He told me to send over photos and he will go from there. I emailed Sam the photos once we got off the phone. Later that day I received a call from a young guy stating Mario will be at my home Saturday, February 10th, at 11am to start work and will possibly need a follow up for a second guy to come help Mario with the crown molding over the stairs. He said it would take them approximately two hours to finish. He had also mentioned since we would need two guys over the stairs instead of them charging me $69.99 per hour for one guy, it would be $138.99 for 2 guys for two hours. I didn’t understand why Mario would have needed to be at my home from 11am-4pm if there was an entire section he couldn’t get done. Why charge me from 11am-4pm for everything and was told they would have to come out again with two guys to finish the rest. The guy couldn’t explain that to me over the phone. I was already at this point ****** and ready to cancel everything. Mario arrived at my home at 10:30am Saturday, February 10th. He looked around and mentioned to me he would need another guy with him the entire time of the project. Are you serious? I explained in very great detail with Sam over the phone which rooms I wanted with crown molding and also sent him photos. The rooms are very basic, nothing was too crazy minus over the stairs. I also only have 8ft ceilings. I only needed my master bedroom, my living room and hallway. The priced then doubled and after talking to Mario it seemed like that’s all they cared about was the money. If you’re sending over one of your best guys he should have no problem installing crown molding. The lengths of the crown was not long at all. I’ve had this process done before with one professional. Mario wrote a few things down and said someone would reach out to me to reschedule. It is now Thursday, February 15th, and have yet to hear from anyone. This is a nightmare and very unprofessional. There was definitely a lack of communication here. I will never do business with this company again and will tell everyone I come across to stay away. They only care about your money!

Mario C is the man. He came on time did the work and offered advice. Fourth time we have hired him and always happy to have him come into our home and do work. Polite and kind and does good work.

Mario Chavez was great. His work was efficient and gave a good explanation on exactly what he was doing so I understood how things were grounded. He also made sure to ask if I needed anything else done to maximize his remaining time on the site. I would recommend Mario and Budget Right Handyman again.

It was easy breezy, timely, very professional and it was a great customer experience overall.

Great! Mario Chavez was really helpful and worked with me on a variety of different approaches we could take on some kind of odd issues. I'm really happy he took the time to walk through the pros and cons of different options and really happy with the result. He offered a ton of great advice as well on some different parts of the basement project I was working on.

I paid them $481.41 regardless but the company said they'll make it right for me when they called. I called back and they wouldn't return the call. I called again and they said they would get back to me but they didn't. I left a message asking to take care of this. They never called back. I finally went back to Angie's List to find just an electrician and not a handyman. I have an electrician come in on Tuesday but if Budget Right Handyman can credit me the money I paid for other services I would still use them. I don't want to bash them entirely but I would appreciate a response from them since I've called them various times. I gave them a chance to reach back to me but they didn't. I wont recommend them to others base on the bad experience that I received. Update 4/21/18-The Workman came late because he went to our former address. He was able to put towel racks up but could not complete the electricial services. The former home owner had a password that controlled the lights. Even though no electrical services were complete , I paid $487.00. Handyman Matters called me to get my feedback on the service call. When I told them I paid a bill and most of what I wanted done was not completed and I paid for no service, they said they would get back to me to arrange electrical services, They never called back and I called them to no avail. Empty promises.

Mario did great work and whipped through my list in a whole hour less than the 4 hour estimate. Been using this company for years and wouldn’t use anyone else.

Paid by the hour and it shows! Manny arrived on time and was very polite. He took down 2 fixtures and a ceiling fan and said that the electrical boxes were not appropriate and would need to be changed. He offered to come back and fix it but the estimated cost was going to be about $600 for 8 hours to finish (possibly more because he suggested he wait for the drywall to dry in one area and would charge hourly for that!). It took him an hour to determine he couldn't do the job and we were charged $69 for that hour and no work was done, which is frustrating. Obviously we can't comment on the quality of work since none was done. Then customer service called us the following day to see if we were satisfied with our completed job which shows they don't communicate when follow up is needed. We called another electrician that does not charge by the hour and he said there was another solution, still up to code. It took him about 3 hours to do all the work and it was less than half the cost.

It was a great experience. Leonard was my handyman. I took advantage of the promotion for two hours for $99. I was informed ahead of time that my order would take longer than two hours. In one additional hour my fireplace was assembled and running. Great job!

Excellent! Stan West (our technician) was punctual and efficient and explained what he was doing at every step of the way. I would highly recommend consulting Budget Right Handyman for any upcoming projects.

Wife was very pleased with the work done by Dave Federici. He got straight to work and was done very quickly. Will ask again for his services as I have an exterior power need which must be put in place.

We had a long list of repairs that had accumulated. Stan was out for 3 hours and worked efficiently through much of the list. He didn't get through the whole list, but we knew he wasn't going to. Our house is SO much better already, and we will have Stan out to finish the job.

Stu McLean did a high quality job in a very efficient manner. I am extremely pleased.

It went very well. Cleon arrived on time, and very professional. He installed my new bathroom faucet with no mess at all. Also caulked my bathtub which looks beautiful now... I am a very happy customer. I always use Budget Handyman, and have always been pleased. AAA+

I have used Budget Right Handyman 3 times for different needs and all 3 times they exceeded my expectations with the resources that were supplied. This time Dave Federici did some work for me to find a leak in my house. He identified the issue within minutes and we agreed on the patch work that had to be done. He went to the store and purchased the materials and came back and fixed it quickly. There was enough time left in my hourly purchase that also allowed him to do some other work I needed done. He was very professional, super nice and great to work with. I would highly recommend him and Budget Right to anyone.

Dave was great. He resolved the issue and provided guidance on maintenance.

Did a full install of all new appliances from Home Depot. Home Depot guys came by and said they could not repair stuck water valve, and left a dishwasher sitting in my living room uninstalled. Home Depot guys also failed to complete clothes washer installation. Robert from Budget Right Handyman came out the very next day and installed dishwasher. He also completed the clothes washer installation. He took care of a lot of small odds and ends, and was extremely reasonably priced - speaking as a guy who has no handyman skills at all and calls handymen all the time.

The work that was completed was well done.
