Mario Chavez did a great job with the various tasks I needed done around the house. The main one being the replacement of my condo door's lock. It's an old intricate lock that needed some creative solutions. Not only was he upfront about everything but he worked with me to pick the best solution all the while making sure I understood what was going on. Would definitely use this place and Mario in particular for future jobs.

The team was extremely professional and did the job exceedingly well. Highly recommend Nick and his team. We are now going to use them permanently for our handyman jobs.

Great experience! I would definitely use again. He arrived on time was professional and courteous and even endured an extremely excited and barking puppy throughout the job with no complaints. I started this experience with a small job to try out this company and was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the work. I just bought a home so will definitely be using the service again with my very long "to do" list! I did some comparison shopping and have to say the price was reasonable and in most cases lower in comparison to other companies providing the same kind of service. I have already recommended this company to family.

Mario from Budget Right Handyman arrived promptly at the time specified since I had not pre-purchased the replacement door he measured the existing door and drove to Home Depot to purchase what I needed. He called throughout the time he was gone giving me updates on his progress and the time he would be spending . He returned and began the installation I have an old home and so trimming and shaving the door and frame was necessary. throughout his stay here Mario was the best..personable, professional, listened carefully when I spoke of what I wanted the new door to look like.respected of my home asked should he remove his shoes. cleaned up as if he were never here to work. found a broom I had and swept all the wood shavings up in the garage. I was so pleased with this man and because he works for Budget Right I will be using them for all future projects.' after all a companies employees reflect that companies standards and attitudes about customer service...they all get a 10+ from me.

Everything was smooth and was done in a professional manner by technician Stu McLean. He was punctual and did the job in a professional manner.

I wish that all professional services went this well. From the first call to set up the appointment to the email just an hour after the service letting me know there's a 100% guarantee of work for a year, everything went great. And in less time than anticipated! Special callout to Leonard who was professional, courteous, answered my questions and didn't even mind when I hovered over to see how things were going.

This is the 4th time I have hired Budget Right Handyman and I continue to be impressed with the professionalism of their team and quality of work. Andrew did a great job in assessing how to get electricity to the area we needed it and got it done quickly and efficiently given that it was a bit of a project.

Manny was polite, punctual and efficient. Pleased with both jobs performed.

I played phone tag with them for a while until I finally was able to get an estimate. When speaking to them on the phone, I gave the dimensions of each wall in each room and was given a quote of $500. Days later I was called and told that they want to come do a formal estimate, and that is costs $19 for them to come out. Estimator was right on time and super friendly and efficient. The estimator said he would have a fast turn around and for the estimate and did exactly that! I got a call later that night and the estimate was around $6500. That is $6000 more than originally estimated from their employee. They claim that it was due to more being needed than expected, but they weren't off by 10% or even 20%, their second estimate was 1250% higher. The next day, I received a call for them for payment for coming out to do the estimate. I don't know how they could be so far off with an estimate. 12X MORE EXPENSIVE than originally told. If they had given a more accurate estimate, I wouldn't have even had someone come out as that is outrageously different and high. So to recap, they gave an estimate, then came back with an estimate 12x higher, misleading the customer, then to rub salt in the wound, called the customer to pay for their fraudulent ways.

At first the shower tile replacement looked great, see photo with dark gray grout. We even wrote a nice review as soon as the work was done on Oct 30th. However, very soon (minutes after the worker left) afterwards, the grout lost all of it's color due to efflorescence.....too much water/moisture in the grout. See ugly picture with colorless grout. When Jeremy came back to put the sealer on, he saw the issue and said it might be bad material. He chipped out some grout to see that the color disappeared all the way through the grout. He told us to take the sample grout to the retail store manager where we bought the tile/supplies. I asked Jeremy if we have any of the grout left from the bag. He said, there was some left, but, not enough to save and he threw it away. (This is important to know, you are supposed to mix the ENTIRE BAG of grout as one step to help prevent efflorescence, whether or not using the amount he threw away was the cause, we can't be sure). We followed the guidance of Budget Right's representative and contacted the retailer. The retail manager came out to inspect and said we had a bad case of efflorescence and he tried to efforts to scrub it away on three different days to help bring the color back. Not getting any good results, I asked him to call and explain the issue to Budget Right, he spoke with Sam. The retailer said to me that Sam wasn't familiar with the term efflorescence, he knew what the problem was, but was not familiar with the standard industry terminology. I gave Sam, the Budget Right supervisor, a fact sheet from Mapei that listed the top ten causes of efflorescence.....of which four of them were possibly applicable in this case. Later in our back and forth, Sam claimed that the retailer said they admitted it was bad material on the RECORDED call and could send me the recording of him saying this. I asked for the recording and Sam later claimed they couldn't give it me because of "privacy issues", even though the retailer said he would consent to releasing the recording. Sam also said that since the retailer tried to scrub the efflorescence residue before Sam had a chance to look at the project, it became the retailer's issue. Sam said that we should have contacted Budget Right first before getting the retailer involved. I told him that Jeremy is Budget Right's representative and we followed Jeremy's guidance in contacting the retailer. If Jeremy failed to follow Budget Right's procedures when issues come up, that is Budget Right's own internal problem. We followed Budget Right's guidance to contact the retailer, we were never told by Jeremy to wait for his supervisor to contact us. Jeremy said he would make his company aware of the issue. Budget Right refused to even consider the possibility of poor workmanship. What's more, trying to follow up and resolve this....Sam didn't return my many messages. In fact, Budget Right refused to even answer our calls as they monitor caller ids (they knew, from repeated contacts, our work, home and cell numbers). Prior to our hiring them (and while working with them), instead of leaving messages I would just hang up and then they would immediately call back..."you called?". Once we had issues, they never even did that. Ironically, after many no answers or callbacks, I used one my co workers cell phones, called them, didn't leave a message, and then a mere couple minutes later they called back..."you called?". At that point, I asked why they didn't respond to multiple voice messages going back over a week. I also asked to speak to the owner of the company. I was told I couldn't do that, I'd have to speak to a supervisor....the same one that didn't return my messages for over a week. They wouldn't even give me the owner's name, or even the name of or opportunity to speak with Sam's boss. Sam finally called me back a few minutes later and said the retailer is at fault, we are not responsible, period. Use these people at your own risk.

I would definitely hire this company again. The price was very good and the technician arrived on time and was very helpful.

It was easy to make an appointment with Budget Right Handyman Company. I was given an estimate of time and costs up front. Leonard, the assigned handyman, was punctual, personable, knowledgeable and respectful of my home and time.

BUDGET RIGHT HANDYMAN Category: 2 Bathrooms Remodeled: Ceramic tile/ walls ( with glass accent) and floors , Plumbing, and vinyl tile recreation room and basement stairs We are so thrilled to review Budget Right Handyman. The workmanship is excellent! The service is “Top Notch!” Our bathrooms went from a 60’s style “Frumpy” to “FABULOUS!!!!” The flooring in our recreation room and basement stairs are simply beautiful. Let me say first that this company really deserves the “Super Service” Award. Angie’s List does not have a higher grade than “A.” However, they are the “Micheline,” “AAA” “4 Diamond” company of the remodeling business. They truly model “TEAM” work. They are professional and personable. That’s a combination that is quite hard to find in this type of business. What is quite admirable is that they have no problem with you asking questions OR making suggestions!!! Richard Tierne came out to do the measurements and field any questions we had. It was such a pleasant experience. As the company representative, he made us feel very comfortable with the procedure and company policies. Our Sr. Project Manager was Brad Melgoza. Brad is such a pleasure to do business with and he was very professional. He helped us to “tailor” the contract to our budget and needs. He was equally adept at explaining every detail of concern regarding the contract. He was attentive and available throughout this project. Immediately after the work had begun, we decided we needed an “add-on.” Brad had no problem accommodating us. He emailed us the contract with no delay. Our Job Coordinator was Sam Cervantes. If you need a Job Coordinator, Sam is the one!!! I don’t know how he does it, but Sam not only handles the coordination of the Technicians, monitors daily billing, supervises work scheduling, but also answered all of my many emails!!! He does all of this in such a professional and gracious manner. He does not mind you asking questions! He does not mind explaining things over again! Now, this is unusual!!! At the outset of our remodeling job, there was a delay in us getting the trim for our showers from a plumbing store. I tried to keep Sam posted on the delays. Each time the plumbing store gave us a delivery date, it fell through. Sam just calmly responded “keep me posted.” Well, the technicians finished the job before time and they were ready to leave. My husband went to the plumbing store to hopefully pick up the trim. I contacted Brad who contacted Sam. Sam was in the field dealing with several projects and had to be interrupted. He immediately responded to our request and again graciously agreed to let the technicians stay until we could hear from my husband. The trim came and the guys put it up in record time. NOW THAT’S “TEAMWORK!” Our Technicians were Joey Davis (Lead), and Manny Sanchez. These gentlemen truly did an outstanding job in representing the company in their professionalism, workmanship, and commitment to excellence. And they are so personable. They didn’t just do “a” job. They truly tried to make our remodeled bathrooms and basement look “FABULOUS” and they do! Joey and Manny are some “HARD” working men. They are diligent about their job and worked “seamlessly" as a team. We didn’t know that this was their first time working together. We thought they had worked together for years.They were responsive to all our concerns. The suggestions they made not only were helpful but made a tremendous difference in how our bathrooms look. First, the “tear out” of the bathroom walls and especially flooring was done quickly and with very little noise. One bathroom had 2 layers of tile. The second layer was some type of mosaic tile that had been there since the 60”s and looked like it had been “fossilized”. A lot of it came out in individual “Scrabble-like” pieces. Joey never complained. He simply rented the right tool and got it all out. The plumbing in our home had also been there since the 60’s. Manny removed the old plumbing in both bathrooms and skillfully replaced it with the new. They put in new “dual” shower heads, tub stoppers, single handle hot and cold valves, and curved “hotel” shower curtain rods. They also did minor repairs on the toilets and installed updated wax rings. The Ceramic tiling of our bathrooms is so beautiful and so professionally done. They expertly installed “glass” accent tile all around the the walls and also in 2 storage niches. We had some extra accent tile left over at the end of the job. Joey employed his expert design skills and suggested that we do the backsplash over the sinks in both bathrooms in the glass accent tile. He did one bathroom for us and it was simply “stunning.” I wasn’t sure if we had enough to do the second bathroom. But he was so accurate in his measurement and adept in his skills that he finished the second backsplash with one tile left over! ADD-ON: Joey remained a couple days to retile our recreation room, basement stairs and small hallway with vinyl tile. Again, he was punctual, pleasant, and professional. He worked just as diligently in completing this project as he did the bathrooms. Our basement is simply beautiful! We really enjoy it. Over the years, we have had many experiences dealing with companies in this profession. Budget Right Handyman has been one of the best companies we have ever dealt with. We are truly happy with the overall results and experience. Everything was finished before the quoted time and in an excellent, exceptional manner. Leonard was very professional, prompt (actually showed up early!), and did a great job. He was respectful of our home- cleaned up after himself, etc. I would definitely hire him again.

Everything went weil. Andrew showed up on time and began working promptly. He was very pleasant and professional. The fans were installed and working before he left. The price was reasonable. Andrew mentioned that the fans I purchased were a little more complicated than most fans, which was accurate based on the reviews of the fans themselves. Based on that information, I thought the hourly rate and what I paid was fair. i'd hire again.
