Budget Right Handyman

The project went great. Nate P. was amazing, friendly, professional and an overall pleasure to deal with. He was patient answering questions about an assortment of other unrelated jobs I am considering. I definitely plan to use them again and will specifically request Nate P.

It was good to get those jobs done! Art & Chris did a great job. One mirror seems ever-so-slightly off level, but if I continue to think that is the case, I will call Budget Right Handyman again and schedule another hour or two to take care of it and to accomplish more tasks. I was happy with their service.

OK, I had hoped to have the entire east side replaced but the technician indicated that could be problematic so he just replaced a portion (about 2 /12 ft) and installed new rubber. It is working fine. The $200 included the time going to Home Depot and purchase of supplies.

Nate did an excellent job. He was on time, very professional and pointed out what he could, and could not do based on the way the house was originally built. He did what he could on the first trip out, and then we had to buy different fixtures before he could complete the job. The second trip out he finished quickly and we were very pleased with his work.

Stan was excellent. He patched the ceiling drywall where we had replaced light fixtures, and then painted the kitchen and family room ceiling (one continuous ceiling so they had to be painted together). He was prompt, professional and very engaging, keeping us informed throughout the day. We would definitely use him again!!

The electrician (Sanchez) was prompt and started working right away , corrected the old wiring to the light fixture and installed the new light fixture correctly. I am very pleased with his work.

They are very unprofessional regarding finances. I am still waiting for my credit card payment to be processed. It has been over four weeks. What is the problem. I need my account to be up-to-date. Please help!

Let me start by saying the work was being done at my rental property that I am getting ready to put on the market. The tenants have a 10 month old baby. The work was set up for 4/19/2018 for 11 am and made clear that the baby takes nap at 2 pm. I purchased the deal for 2 hours of service for $110. The deal with Budget Right Handyman was that I needed a number of doors adjusted but I had a total of 3 hours they could be there. I agreed after the 2 hours I purchased, the 3rd hour would be $69. They were to repair as many doors in that time frame from worst door to least. They never showed up. I called at noon and talked to Sam Cervantes and he said handyman was running late. I said that wouldn't work because of baby taking nap a 2 pm. He asked about doing it on 4/20/2018. I said I would check with renter and see if it was ok. She said it was ok. Sam said he would set up for 11 am 4/20/2018. He also said that for the inconvenience, the third hour would be free. The handyman shows up at 11 and starts work. After being there an hour he leaves for over and hour. When he gets back in just walks into home without knocking, He ends up being there for a total of 4 1/2 hours which was not the agreement and tenant kept telling him the baby needed nap. he didn't leave until after 4;30 pm. He also left the place a total mess. I have sent pictures to Iann Matlock at Angies List and to Sam Cervantes. I called Sam and he said even though his handyman went over the agreed 3 hours, I was still responsible. He said the 2 hours I purchased for $110 was just for service. I was responsible for the hour he was gone getting a few screws at a store that was 5 to 10 minutes away. He ended up charging me $238 and that is not what we agreed on up front. the deal was 3 hours because of the baby needing nap and I was paying for the first 2 at $110 and the 3rd he was paying. totally to advantage of situation. Lastly, the handyman left the house a total mess and did not clean up anything. Very unprofessional company. I was also a terrible situation for my tenant to clean up and caring for a 10 month old baby. So sad.

Chris took a look and tried a couple of things to fix it. When those didn't work, he determined that the flushing valve should be replaced. He also recommended that I change the tube that connects the toilet to the wall from a hard tube to a flexible tube for better water flow. I agreed and he ran to Home Depot and once he returned, he had both pieces installed and the toilet working perfectly in less than 10 minutes. Chris was punctual, friendly and professional. He took time to explain what he was doing and the solution he was suggesting. I'm very happy with the entire experience.

Mario was great. Really nice to work with. Good communicator. Asked good questions, available via text/phone, provided valuable recommendations. Quality of the work was top notch.

The mounting of the TVs seem OK but the wires were concealed behind the dry wall without a pipe. The gentleman Hector was slow, spent more than two hours in Home Depot for materials but did not pick up the pipe as he was not planning to use it. I had to let it go as I did not want to pay too much for idle time. We had to paint the ceiling in the bathroom as the previous painter used the wrong paint and the paint was peeling off. Hector did not know much about painting. The painting on the ceiling looks fine but I have to wait few more months to determine if right paint was used. My grade is conditional and it will change if anything with the TV mounting or painting goes wrong.

My door required extensive work, given that it was a 1925 replacement. It took Mario about 7 hours to do that job, which would have been done faster, I guess, if he had a helper. The important thing is, am I satisfied with the job performed by Mario? Absolutely! He is a man that pays attention to details, very careful and extremely professional (new door lock and mailbox were installed as well). Would I hire him again? you bet your life! It's kind of difficult to find serious, reliable workers, who are also excellent at what they do. Mario is one of them (even suggested not to add numbers on the door so as not to distract from it. I went ahead and taped them on temporarily while we decide about the idea). About the company? Also pros, they resolved my concerns and addressed every single issue I raised, such as having the job completed when promised. Recommendations? To offer or inform customers about the option of hauling away the debris, even if it costs a bit more, at least to have that available. Otherwise, you won't go wrong with this company.

The guy was very prompt. He came in and went to work right away. He finished up everything and cleaned up after himself.

I called BRH because I wanted an electrician to replace a GFCI, fix a front porch light, and provide an estimate for recessed lighting. The GFCI was done quickly but the electrician said he couldn’t fix the porch for liability purposes and instead offered to provide me the number of another electrician. So basically I paid $69 for a ten minute job (GFCI) and another electrician’s phone number. I never received the phone number or the estimate.

We are simply thrilled with the electrical work that Edgar Reyes, our technician, did for us. Edgar is personable, professional, and a highly skilled electrician. He was on time and performed his work in a timely neat manner. We had some ongoing problems with the electrical system in our basement that had been lingering for years. A friend in the construction business had tried to modify some things that needed undoing. Edgar listened carefully to us as we tried to explain the problem. He explained what he was going to do in the problem areas and promptly began to provide the remedies. He installed ceiling lights with wall switches in the laundry room, furnace room, and storage area. He also installed several electrical junction boxes in the basement ceiling to replace poor wiring. And he replaced a dimmer switch in our dining room. Some areas really required his expertise. He made the lighting in our basement area not only functional but easier to use. We were simply amazed at how he made the electrical installments so quick and easy. He really knows his craft.

The service was excellent. We had a variety of small jobs from electrical to masonry and plumbing. They sent one technician out and we were his only clients for the day. As a result, he took the time and care to talk to us about all of our various projects and how to best address them. Will definately use again.

Nate was on time and completed the job

My technician, Nate, was great. He arrived on time, explained to me what he was going to do and the pricing, and demonstrated that each outlet was operational and properly grounded as he completed his work. He was very thorough when correcting the outlet that was not properly grounded turned out to be more complicated that either of us had anticipated. He identified and corrected lose wires elsewhere in the electrical system that had lead to the grounding fault. I would definitely use Budget Right again.

Manny made an accurate assessment of the job and search for the replacement parts i desired. After completing the search the parts were not available. Therefore he went ahead and secured the drawers properly and made the repair for half the cost

1st time I used them, they pushed me into a "Fixed Bid" that was without doubt in their favor. I would recommend tme and materials

Very well. Art did the repair work and he did a great job. I would definitely call again. This is the second time I've used them for a job.

Our handyman was excellent! He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. We even ran into a snag with where we wanted the tv hung and he was great in providing a solution. Got the TV up in the hour we hired him for. Definitely would hire again and recommend him to others!

I had several stress cracks around a window and doorway in my house that I needed to have patched and repaired. The gentleman that performed the repair did a wonderful job. The whole process from start to finish took about 4 hours and I was very pleased with the end result.
