Budget Right Handyman

Description of Work: Put knobs on kitchen cabinets, put toilet tissue holder on the wall, and put end cap on kitchen counter. It took about an hour and thirty minutes.

Description of Work: I contacted the provider directly because I wanted to know if he would be able to do the job I had. I left a message telling him where to call and at what time. However, he called at the wrong times and I was not available to answer my calls. I called again last night, told him I would be home and would he please call. I did not hear from him yesterday, nor yet today. At some point, I spoke to someone from the company and described the job. She said she would get an estimate and call me back. She left a message about 3-4 days late and said she had the estimate. I did not even bother to call her back. If this is the way they run their business, I was not interested in hiring them.

Description of Work: The gentleman who came was very knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant. He was speedy in making all repairs including fixing some bifold doors which I was sure had to be replaced. Very happy with outcome!

Description of Work: He put together some furniture. Assembled a dog stroller. Hung many pictures. And some various things that needed to be assembled or hung on the wall. I am disabled and the workman took care of EVERYTHING. I was SO HAPPY that he crushed the boxes and brought all of the garbage down the back stairs and to the dumpster. I had a few other very heavy furniture boxes that he gladly took down too. I was a little disorganized but did everything with a smile. I was very pleased and will schedule with him for the remainder of the work.

Description of Work: Installed two toilet seats. Checked leaking kitchen faucet and non-working under sink water filtration system. Both were non-fixable. Recommendation was to replace with newer models.

Description of Work: The handyman had asked me to purchase universal parts to fix two toilets that needed work. I bought the parts, but he ended up having to go buy different parts that took up part of the time he could have been working. I'd asked him to look at a third toilet but he never got to it. One of the toilets he fixed is still giving me problems. The parts inside do not stay in place.

Description of Work: He is here right now. He has installed blinds and cabinet handles in the kitchen and is now rehanging a bathroom door and putting up a towel bar. We need an electrician for the fans and light fixtures and could not move the freezer from the garage into the utility room - 1/2 inch too wide. Bummer. Quality work and very professional. |We will have this service come back to paint the kitchen and install a new toilet and put up more blinds.

Description of Work: They unstopped the toilet. It would flush clear but the water would not go down in the toilet. Since I have a newer low water toilet , with the design getting suction was very difficult. The serviceman tried several tricks to finally get the problem cleared. I am thankful for his patience and willingness to find other jobs that could be done in the remaining time I had paid for his services. Would definitely do additional business.

Description of Work: Sent workman without much experience for my needs. Leak under kitchen sink and change fixture. Home built in 1957. Workman should have known the needs for my home. New fixture pipes did not fit the pipes in my home. which should have been assessed prior to the three (3) trips to the nearby Home Depot - him twice, me once. Also, didn't know where to turn the water off in the basement. Turned every knob in the basement. Had to return later to turn the "GAS" back on, because he turned that off, too. Can't say enough about how nice he was, but disappointing with the work. I feel that the company should know more about the skill levels of the workmen they send out.

Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $98.00 for two hours of handyman service. The service turned out fine. They called the next day after the purchase and they came within the next week to do the service.

Description of Work: Removed a broken garbage disposal and installed a new one we had purchased. Also attempted to clear a slow tub drain. |The serviceman was diligent and persistent in removing the old unit--it was difficult to get out. He eventually succeeded and was thorough and cheerful throughout the process, despite the difficulty. |This was a big deal for handyman service. Not sure want a regular price would have been but it seemed reasonable so that's why I gave them a B for price.

Description of Work: Fixed a few things around the condo and hung wine racks into a brick wall.

Description of Work: The main goal was for the repair person to replace a garbage disposal. He did so, but as a result I ended up with an (unrelated) cracked pipe which was leaking water. There was some disagreement as to what caused the crack in the pipe. I know it was not leaking any water previous to the appointment as I used the sink daily and water never leaked under the sink until then. The repairman offered to fix the pipe, but at a fee. As it turned out, I had to pay for another hour of their time for them to buy a new pipe and replace it (which took about 5 minutes). The extra hour I paid was to cover their time to going to the store as well. I had someone look at the damaged pipe, and his opinion was the repair guy likely used it as leverage when removing the existing garbage disposal, and thereby damaged it. | |The other two tasks I asked him to perform were to repair a sliding glass door, which was not opening smoothly. The assessment was the back wheel was broken, and therefore he could not fix it. I had someone else look at it, and there were no wheels on the door, it just slides along a track. | |the other task was to look at a row of lights that flickered but would not turn on. The assessment was the bulbs were burned out. Another repairman found a short. | |In summary, I initially bought two hours of time. It took him about 90 minutes to install the garbage disposal (and to crack a pipe). The other 30 minutes were spend on misdiagnosis of two other repair needs. I then got to pay another $57 dollars for them to repair what they broke. | |All and all, it was a poor experience. I will not use this company again, and I do not recommend them.

Description of Work: They were on time and professional. I bought a corner desk unit that I had them put together. He put the desk together and cleaned up all the trash after he finished. I will definitely used their service again.

Description of Work: Mostly advised us on what should be done to our electrical system and air conditioning unit.
