Description of Work: He arrived on time and got to work immediately. I had him exchange out two chandeliers which he did. However I also had some drywall repaired. He did an OK job, however, he failed to realize that the patch in the bathroom the result of an extremely slow leak and needed more than a simple mudd job. The other drywall work he did was acceptable.

Description of Work: The service provider installed a new kitchen faucet and positioned new innerspring onto bed frame. He could not have been more professional, considerate and polite. I would absolutely use this provider again!

Description of Work: I wanted grab bars and a shower head adapter installed so I could attach a hose onto my shower. It was a 2 hour special for $99. I had 2 grab bars by 2 toilets and 1 in the shower. The man came in and said he had to go out to the hardware store to buy some special screws for our plaster walls. He was gone 20 minutes and I had to pay extra $ for the special screws and anchors he bought, I think it was an additional $14. The 'special' screw was placed on one side of the grab bar and not the other, so it looks odd. He then installed the 3 grab bars and took apart the shower head to put it back on again saying I didn't get the right type of adapter (this was a universal adapter and our shower head is a normal size and type, nothing special). All in all this took 3 hours of work...to install 3 grab bars. I think it took way too long for this amount of work. I had a neighbor in my fathers area put some grab bars up in his house and it was done well within the 2 hour time frame, and that was also 3 grab bars. I would never hire this company again.

Description of Work: General handyman -- Tighten kitchen faucet, replace hardwired smoke detectors throughout the house, change lightbulbs in difficult to access light fixtures. All went well except that the faucet (a single lever faucet) is set so that the neutral position between hot and cold is about 30 degrees to the right of where it should be. He told me about this and enlisted my help to try to make it right, but could not. I don't know if anyone else could have fixed it properly or if it's a defect in my faucet.

Description of Work: the budget right handyman responded to my calls very quickly and professionally. Initially I had a painting job in mind for this $98 for two hours of work service, which involved taking a portion 4x4 of the dry wall off, put it back and paint. However, after talking to them over the phone, I was given an estimate of at least 6 hours for such work. Therefore, I opted to have them over to re-caulk a bath tub. The work was done fine. The small issues were 1) my address was mistaken to be in Chicago. So the contractor went to a wrong address while I was waiting at my place. that resulted in a 30min delay in the starting time; 2)the company card the contractor carried did not work, so I had to go to the store to pay for the material. It was not a big deal, however I would suggest whoever use the service to just go with the contractor at the first place, that will save you some trouble to double back from other things you were doing; 3) I was told I will receive some pictures of the finished work once it was completed, but that did not happen. |Overall, the job went fine. In the future, I would only purchase this kind of deal if I have small jobs to be done. From Angie's list, most of people have caulking type of work for these 2 hours deals. If you have anything bigger, you might want to contact the handyman and get an estimate prior to purchase the deal.

Description of Work: A new deadlock was put on the front door, a much needed bannister was put in, |a broken lazy susan for a kitchen cabinet was fixed and two shelving units were put in. I was very happy with the work done.

Description of Work: Not much. Messed with electrical many hours that they were clearly not qualified to work on. Instead of moving on to more projects I had, the guy continued to mess with the outlets. Waste of money and time. And he never came back to finish a project he said he would. I feel like I got scammed.

Fixed a door hinge that would not allow the door to stay open and check windows for leaks and the best way to winterize; not with plastic but with temporary caulking that I picked up at the local hardware store the day after his visit)
