Budget Right Handyman

Description of Work: This was my first Angie's List experience. I appreciate the work that was performed by the handyman Oved Galarza who I recognized as an acquaintance, however, overall, I found there to be a disconnect between what work the company initially quoted and what was actually performed on 10/30. My request for an estimate included sanding, staining, caulking exterior front door and fabricating a wood threshold. We agreed on a touch-up which a person named Matt said included; "roughing-up the surface and apply a coat of polyurethane. That process would be estimated at two to three man-hours." That's all the work that was performed after double the amount of time. On the phone when the work got scheduled, the estimate went up to 6 hours. While on the job, Galarza called me over an hour before quitting time to inform me that he wouldn't have time to complete the work within the 6 hours and had another job scheduled so he couldn't stay. He said he needed time to clean-up. I thought that hour plus could have been better spent completing the job. Galarza agreed to return to complete the work for an additional 4 hours. The first quote Budget Right Handyman gave me was two to three man-hours, which became six on the phone and then they tried to stretch it to 10. I should be charged for the job I was quoted and the job should have been completed within the specified time. Now, if I want the job finished, I have to pay Budget Right Handyman for 4 more hours. Doesn't seem right. They ended up milking a small job. [removed member's name]

Description of Work: It took him several days to call me or i may have had to call don't remember, and then he did not come out for another week. He was unable to do most of the work i needed done. He was very limited in the scope of things that he could do.

Description of Work: Purchased the Angie's List special. Easy to arrange an appointment. Handyman was 100% professional. Finished everything on my list (mostly small carpentry issues) and even knocked a few additional items that I hadn't even thought of. Finished in under 1.5 hours. Couldn't be happier with the service. My new "go-to" guys for all home repair items.

Description of Work: I love these guys! They always show up on time ready to tackle the projects on my list. This time was mostly carpentry work. The guy cut down a picket fence that was at the side of my house. He fixed my back and front yard gates and a couple of loose banisters on my front porch. Nice neat work.

Description of Work: They did all sorts of things, fixed a wall re painting it, installed some shelves in a closet, in a cabinet, adjusted a microwave, etc. the only thing they couldn't do was treat the wood. They were nice and responsive.

Description of Work: Arrived on time as specified. Was able to replace broker gas shut off valve, disconnect old stove, connect new stove, and replace kitchen faucet in the 2 hour time block purchased for handyman services. We did have to pay an additional $25 trip charge that was not specified in the deal, but the work was completed professionally. Will definitely call again for future needs.

Description of Work: They fixed some cabinets, painted a room and caulked a shower. They were very professional, reasonably priced and did a good job. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for 2 hours of handyman service. I told him I needed a small piece of 5/8ths inch drywall replaced. I gave him the size of the piece of drywall I needed replaced which was very small and he immediately told me it would take 3 to 4 hours even though I know it shouldn't take more than an hour and a half.

Description of Work: They help hang a picture; they painted the bars on my back window ;and they fix one lock and replaced another lock.
