Everything went well.

No problems.

I could not believe how handy he was - my husband was even impressed! Tim showed up precisely on time. He never took a break even though I offered it up. I even tried to offer him some food and he only drank water and kept working. All around great guy - hardworking and easy going. I will DEFINITELY call him back for more work!!!

Tim arrived on time to complete the job. He was very courteous. He worked very hard to get an old rusted shower knob off, only to find out when he replaced it, that it was the copper pipe and a much larger job then he could do that day. He then installed a ceiling fan in our daughters room. We had prepaid for 2 hours of service on Angie's list for $80 and then had a $25 travel fee because we live in the burbs. Overall, great experience

Tim showed up on time, was polite, professional and started working right away on items we had previously discussed that he would repair. He had to go purchase items that he needed for repairs. Because of that he did not have enough time to do the third item of repair which was replacing cement in a walkway, but he did purchase the concrete mixture when he purchased the other items, and he did explain to me how I could do this repair as it is a very small area on the walkway.

I bought the Angie's List coupon for 2 hours with Budget Right as we just moved into a new condo. For the first 3 weeks I kept a growing list of things we needed fixed. Once we started to get leaking from our front glass block windows I knew it was time to set it up. I spoke with Tim and he was very friendly and helpful. We set up an appointment for the following week and he indicated to save time I should go ahead and buy anything we may need. I picked up a new light fixture and door knob as it was broken. Tim showed up right now on time. We went through everything that needed to be done and he made a quick run to the hardware store for supplies. We got everything done on my list including 2 trips to the hardware store in under 2 hours. I don't think it could have gone any better. I highly recommend Budget Right, especially Tim, to anyone who needs a handyman.

Dan Ahmer, accompanied by Mike, re-caulked around a bathtub and shower stall. It looks beautiful. They were punctual, neat and personable. I obtained their services through a Angie's List "The Big Deal". I would definitely use their service again.

Tim arrived and got right to work on my list of little annoyances, got every single one of them completed during the two scheduled hours and fit a few more in for good measure. He was resourceful, thoughtful and professional. He knew how to do all I needed done and gave me some good preventative advice for the future. I have just added this company to my favorites list and will ask for Tim again the next time I need work done.

This was the first "Big Deal" I purchased from Angie's List and it was a great one. Tim arrived exactly on time and completed the minor for him, major for me list of projects I had. He correctly installed the baby gates and light. He explained why the caulk he had with him was better than the one I had purchased for him to use and so he used his. He is very personable, very easy to have around and I am extremely happy with his work. He will be my go to guy from now on.

When I first called Budget Right Handyman, I was told that he would get Tim to call me to schedule an appointment. Because of the special going on, Dirk wasn't sure if Tim could fit me in over the weekend (I called on a Friday). Tim literally called me ten minutes later and when I told him that I was in from out of town to tend to my rental property (leaving on Sunday)... he agreed to squeeze in... and it was Father's Day! Tim arrived promptly on time. He quickly assembled and installed my L-shaped shower curtain rod... even going the extra step to cut the metal rod to make it fit better for my tub. I then asked him if he could replace the light pull switch on one of the ceiling fans. The prior tenant must have completely yanked and broke the chain off the ceiling fan... I had already gone to the hardware store and bought the replacement piece and switch. I was amazed how quickly Tim replaced it. Originally those were the only two items I had asked Tim to fix, but while he was working on the ceiling fan I noticed that there was a leak under the sink. So when Tim was done replacing the light switch, he asked.. "what else do you have for me?" I showed him the leak under the sink. He immediately saw what was wrong and said that it looked like I may need a shorter pipe... the pipe wasn't even attached to the sink...(that would explain why the water was pouring out....)... but Tim said with some maneuvering that he might be able to make it work and 5 minutes later... the pipe was re-attached to the sink, water was running, and there was no leak! Tim even took away the box and trash of the new piece that I purchased for L-shaped shower curtain rod. He was so courteous and professional. I now know who to call and who to trust for my rental property... especially since I manager my property from out of state.

I called Dirk, who immediately answered the phone (I didn't get a v/m) and he told me he would have his handyman, Tim, give me a call the same day. Tim did in fact call the same day and was gracious enough to accommodate my busy work/school schedule by setting a Sunday appointment, which was perfect for me. That Sunday appointment ended up being Father's Day, but he still wanted to keep it for that date to avoid any inconvenience for me, which was awesome! He was very punctual and fast, while he thoroughly completed the job and offered suggestions/solutions for other projects I had in mind. He went above and beyond to complete the jobs and if I had a question about something, he actually would fix it on the spot, if he had the appropriate tools. I was very pleased to finally find someone who was more interested in making the customer satisfied than the amount of money they would get for a job and I highly recommend them through Angie's List or not!!! Great job!

For years, my condo door had scraped against my hardwood floor when I opened or closed it, and I knew that when hot humid weather hit, it would be me vs. door to enter or leave my condo. So when I saw the Angie's List deal for $80 handyman services, I knew it was time to rectify the situation. Tim showed up on time, and even though I had a little, um, conversation with the doorman over what time he could actually start working with power tools, he remained friendly and professional throughout. Removing, planing, and rehanging my door took less than 20 minutes, and then Tim vacuumed both inside and outside the foyer to clean up the sawdust!! I won't hesitate to call Budget Right next time I need something fixed.

Budget Right responded quickly and Tim showed up on a holiday Monday - so I didn't have to take time off. He was quick and offered solutions that were better than my regular handyman's efforts to totally replace things. Tim was clean in his work, came prepared and worked quickly.

I called Dirk on Wednesday afternoon, and within 5 minutes his handyman Tim had called to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Both were very pleasant over the phone, and it was beyond easy to schedule the work. Half an hour before the appointed time, Tim called to let me know he was running EARLY, and wanted to see if I was okay if he started earlier than planned. I was beyond pleased. Upon arriving, Tim listened as I outlined the jobs I needed help with, and made helpful suggestions on how to make the most of my time and budget. He made a quick run to the hardware store, as I hadn't purchased the needed supplies, and quickly set to work. A few hours later, he'd finished up, and done a fantastic job with all the requested projects. Not only that, but he left the workspace cleaner than he'd found it, and made sure that I was comfortable with all the work that had been performed. As we walked through the work, I discovered that he'd even purchased a drywall remnant to save me the cost in materials. It was most appreciated. There's no doubt in my mind that I got a great value for my money, and we'll absolutely be contacting Budget Right for our next project!

We've used Budget Right before for a kitchen and a bathroom remodel. This was another good experience. The work was done on time and to specification. They started with the study while we waited for the door to come in. After the painting was done, we decided to change paint colors mid-project and the change was handled without causing a any delay. The window job was also done during the first phase of work. The last thing done was the replacement of the basement door. They handled it while we were out of town. When we returned, the door was in place and you couldn't tell anyone had been there. They left the area that clean. Working with Dan and Dirk is always easy. They are accessible and stay in communication throughout the project. Any concerns we have are addressed immediately.

I purchased the Great Deal for 2 hours of work; I emailed Dirk a list of work I wanted done and prioritized it. He emailed me back within hours, saying Tim would contact me. Tim called next business day and went over the list. He was upfront about the items on my list that he could not do. I told him the two most important things on my list were the gate (I had rigged up a plywood blockage so my dogs would not get loose that I had a feeling would fail soon) and the front door locks (we had been locked out and the locksmith I called had to break the locks to get us in). Tim and I agreed on a date for him to come out. He called me that morning to say that he was arriving in my area earlier than he thought he would (they are based in the city, I am out in the western suburbs) and would his early arrival be a problem, which I appreciated. I had been searching Home Depot and Lowe's for a gate that would fit the opening, believe it or not, the ones near me "do not carry" either chain link gates or a gate for decks. Tim was willing to find me one, but looked over the situation, asked if it was ok that he ran to the Home Depot and get the materials needed to build one. He looked over the dogs, and was back within 1/2 hour with the materials and created a gate using the same style wood and spacing them so that it looks like the gate came with the rest of the decking (except for the weathering part). We called the dogs out to the deck and to the gate - perfect, they could not get through the spaces and it was exceptionally sturdy. He then went to work on replacing the locks on the front door - again, he took the time to make sure the electronics worked correctly and showed me how to enter the codes to program it myself. We went over other parts of my list and gave me estimates on almost everything. What he did not feel comfortable giving me an immediate estimate on he said he would do some research on and get me the estimate when he came back. He is coming back on my next day off work to do more work. I was pleasantly surprised to find that with their prices, I can get more done immediately than I thought; that's why he is coming back so soon. He offered some suggestions on items on my list and there was no hard sell to do more than I wanted. I look forward to reviewing the next stage of my home improvement saga.

We used them through a deal on Angie's List for two hours of work for $90. When they came in the house, I said what needed to be done. They went up on the roof and did the work. Their hourly rate is per person, so I ended up just getting one hour of work, because there were two people there. I wish I would have known that beforehand.

I would highly recommend Tim. I am so happy I found him on Angie's List to help with projects at my 3-flat in Bridgeport. Tim was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He was thorough and finished the jobs to my satisfaction, without "padding" the hours. He kept me in the loop about his progress while I was at work. There was a snag with hanging the new security light on the garage -I thought that the light fixture needed to be replaced, but the job was more extensive due to some old wiring. Tim explained the problem to me, and he was able to return the next week with the appropriate tools to correct the problem, and now the light works great. Also, Tim was very courteous and respectful to my tenants. I also appreciate that this company has a graduated pricing policy...the longer the handyman is at your place, the less you pay per hour. Will definitely use again.

Arrived on time, very efficient, did more work than expected, clearly got money's worth. Would have been worth the full price.

They were fantastic. All the workers were polite and thoughtful. They set up a work or staging area in the hallway with plastic on the floor and kept the mess and stuff to that area so we could live in the rest of the house. They were as tidy as they could possibly be with all the dust created--kept the dust to a bare minimum. They were extremely accommodating about our schedule. They did everything they could to impact our lives as little as possible. When we thought something was wrong with the toilet after they reinstalled it, we called at 9pm and they had someone here to look at it in fifteen minutes. They are so by far the most conscientious and professional company, contractors, etc. I have ever dealt with. People say that when you get work done on your house you can get two of the following three: cheap, fast, or quality. They were very high quality, came and worked on site every day until the job was finished, finished early in fact, and the price was very fair, in my opinion, for the experience and quality of renovation they offer.

Budget Right Handyman installed some kitchen cabinets for me in a newly purchased home that I needed remodeled. I liked the fact that they offered up the Angie's List 10% discount right away when I told them I was a member. I also liked how the economies of scale worked with these guys as their labor rate dropped significantly the longer they were working on my home. I have a rather large kitchen that they were able to install in a week which surpassed my expectations. My wife and I were pleased with their level of knowledge, professionalism and strait forward way of doing business. I am planning on calling these guys back to tile.

I contacted Budget Right Handyman to perform some work on a rental unit of mine that I had some new tenants moving into. They changed locks, repaired a closet door, removed and reinstalled window treatments, changed around 28 light bulbs, caulked the tubs and performed other minor wall preparation issues. They were very upfront and honest about their pricing which I thought to be extremely fair given the level of service that they provided. Given the fact that I am out of town a lot and could not run out and make decisions on some of the decorative items (drapes) they were great at providing input as to what approach I should take to achieve my budgetary restraints. The best part was because I had so many hours working with them the discounts on the hourly rate started to kick in and their overall labor rate charge dropped. My suggestion is put together a longer list right off the bat so you can have them knock out your "To Do List" and take advantage of the multi hour discounts rather then have them over 3 or 4 different times during the year. All and all it was a great experience. I would recommend calling them for pretty much anything as I think they could probably handle it.

I called Dirk, the owner, and explained what we were dealing with, that our contractor didn't show up, that the cabinets did show up and we had a deadline to complete our kitchen. Dirk contacted his partner, who came over that afternoon and was able to begin hanging our new cabinets. Before we knew it, the new cabinets were up and the kitchen was looking great. We are quite pleased to have met Dirk through Angie's List and wish we would have gone with Budget Right Kitchens from the start.
