Budget Right Handyman

Matt was great. He took his time and made sure they looked great. He did cut the pre hung doors which I was a little worried about as he was doing it. I think he cut the bottoms because he didn't want them touching the carpet in the bedrooms and I think that is a good idea after the fact. He did split some of the wood on one door on the bottom but unless you look for it you can't tell. Also he did cut the tops as well and one was jagged but again unless you are looking for it you can't see it. Otherwise he was very polite and did a good job. I would use there services again if needed.

When I called, Ken (?) was very cordial and helpful. He estimated the job would be 2-4 hours (dependent on what exactly was wrong with the undercounter lights). We set up a time the following week for Danny to come out. Danny called about 5 minutes prior arriving to say he would be there momentarily - he was on time. I ran through all the items with him. We determined he would work on the undercounter lights first in case I needed to run out for anything (which I offered to do - knowing it would save time). He determined the ballasts were broken. He called the manufacturer and a local retailer and got pricing. We determined it made sense just to get new lights so I ran out to the retailer he had spoken to and got some while Danny continued on the punch list. All work was completed and Danny was a great pleasure to work with. Turns out I now have more things to be done and I have called them back to schedule another appointment!

He did a great job and even went to Home Depot to check for a better fan to fit the room. We were very happy with this service!

Tim ended up doing the job himself, which was great for me. The toal job was about 3 hours. I had already purchased the disposal from Home Depot and had it shipped to my tenants. Tim's materials cost was minimal. He called me when he arrived on site and went over the job again. I would work with Budget Right anytime!

I had an issue with my wall where I needed it to be repainted. I had a towel holder that came off and I needed him to close the hole on the wall and repaint it. When I called the first time to ask if they could do the work, I asked him to come first to give me an estimate on what I needed done. He said they do not do estimates so I told him what I needed and he said he could do it in four hours so I paid extra for two more hours of work. The first guy that came here did an awful job. The owner came to my house because I called to complain about it. The owner said he would call his best guy to come fix it. I made sure to ask him if he could do the work in four hours and he assured me he could. The next guy came, but he did not do a good job either. They are nice, that is all. My goal was to have the problem fixed and they didn't do it right so I have to pay someone else to do it again. They tried twice, it is unbelievable. The second guy came and said he couldn't do the work but I told him the person I spoke to on the phone told me it could be done. He did small things like changing two light bulbs while he was waiting for the wall to dry. The first guy came on time but the second was late a half an hour.

Aaron did a great job unclogging my tub. He was professional and explained everything before he performed the job. Thank you very much. I look forward to using this company again.

They were very professional, showed up when they said they would. They did a good job and did not over charge me. Very happy with the experience.

Dan was on time and started right in to work. The shed deck/ramp is EXACTLY what we envisioned. The door is solid and closes when it's closed (the old one had a mind of it's own). Dan even purchased a doorknob that could be keyed to our existing exterior doors, something we had not thought about. The vanity drawer front should withstand anything, including the errant brushes that jammed and broke the drawer originally. The light/fan fixture was installed in less time than Dan had estimated. And - the kickplate looks great. In fact, all the work was done quickly, carefully and efficiently. Because the projects came in under the original time (and those original times and costs were perfectly reasonable and acceptable) Dan saved me over $100. He even reanchored my doorbell unit to the wall. My daughter and I were very satisfied with everything. I would definitely hire Budget Handymen again.

Danny was amazing! He was so professional, polite, knowledgeable, and accomodating. We are so very pleased with his service that we have recommended him to our family here in Naperville. We will request him for any further projects and highly recommend this company and his services!

I would highly recommend Budget Right Handyan for any of your "to do" list projects you don't have time for or simply don't want to tackle. Danny was great and I will certainly hire them again for my next list!

Ken was fantastic. He was extremely professional. We walked through the list when he got there and found that he needed a few things (some carbide drill bits) so I ran to the store while he continued to work. One item - a window off the track - he fixed in 10 seconds. He really knocked a ton off my to-do list. The quality of his work was very good - the only reason he got a B was because he didn't clean up (I did it). But, he did mention that he didn't clean up because he hit the 2 hour mark and wanted to get through more projects. I'd definitely hire him again.

The first visit went well. On the second visit he experienced problems attaching the light fixture. This was not at all the fault of Budget Handyman. We think we found a solution to the problem and he will return to attach the light. I was very satisfied with the visit.

Overall the paint job looked good, although there were a few marks on the ceiling and baseboards. It looked better than I could have done myself but was a bit expensive for only doing a paint job. I had the handyman booked for 4 hours and asked if he could do a couple other jobs if he finished early. Conveniently he took his time and was done cleaning up right at the 4 hour mark so my other handyman jobs did not get addressed- which is why I had booked through their service and not just a painter. I had been happier with a prior visit from Budeget Right Handyman and was a bit disappointed in the mediocre job and how the time was used.

Matt from Budget RIght Handyman was right on time when he came to install the outdoor light. He assessed what other materials were needed to complete the job and went to the hardware store to get them. Matt installed the light in under the amount of time that was quoted for the job and cleaned up after himself. He made sure that the light worked, that I had the instructions and that I understood what lightbulbs were needed.

Ken arrived on time and ready to work. He installed 2 ceiling fans like a pro. He did it in under 2 hours. It was obvious he has installed hundreds of these. I asked him to do a couple of other things that seemed like no big deal to him, but to me were huge. Our door was not latching properly-he fixed that. Our shower had cracks in the grout-he siliconed the shower. He also did other little odds and ends things. All in all it was a huge load off my mind. He was very polite, very professional, and I would hire him again in a second.

I started by buying the Angie's List big deal for 4 hours of handyman service and since they came I've been buying additional time through Budget's servicemen. The 2 handymen I've used have been great and always get done before the scheduled time is up. They are true handymen, knowing how to fix lots of stuff and not just one type of thing. I've used them for a variety of services and plan on using them much more in the future.

I just had my first experience using Budget Right Handyman today, and I could not be more satisfied. My main contact, Tim, was very helpful throughout the process, and answered all of my questions over the phone. We set an appointment to have 5 single interior doors and a double unit installed. Matt arrived on time and did a great job, all while being very friendly and professional. I will definitely use Budget Right Handyman again for other projects.

Their work was smooth from start to finish. They were on time, kept appointments and responded to phone calls immediately. Their workers were personable, professional and easy to deal with.

Dan arrived promptly. He performed the work professionially, thoroughly and superbly. I plan to highly recommend this company to relatives, memers of my family all my friends and feel very comfortable recommending it to their acquaintenances.

Our experience was very positive. We were able to schedule an appointment sooner than later. I bought the new parts in advance, but Tim gave me some very helpful advice over the phone to help us be better prepared?specifically, buy a jumbo wax ring and a flexible toilet connector and check the new toilet in advance to make sure it's not broken. Regarding that last piece of advice, I should have checked the toilet more carefully. I looked only at the bowl; I didn't open the second box inside to see that the tank had cracked. So I had to make another trip to Lowe's to do an exchange. As for the actual work, Ken arrived a half hour late, but he called well in advance to alert me that traffic was bad due to an accident. Once he arrived, he got right to work, and we couldn't be happier with the result. He patched up our ceiling after installing the new fan, he took the old toilet down to our garage, and he cleaned up after his work was finished. If it had not been for the defective toilet, he probably would have finished an hour earlier. He was also very friendly and personable even though we had two young kids coming up to him and constantly asking questions. For the quality of the work and the price we paid, we give Budget Right Handyman an "A+." We'd use them again in a heartbeat.
