things went great. i showed him what i needed done & he did it. when i asked him to take down the basketball hoop, he was totally professional and never showed any signs of anger or negativity. i am a happy camper

Aaron was great and the coupon was fabulous (2 hours of work for $79 - a total bargain)!! He easily relocated three window air conditioners from the 2nd floor to the basement, removed a HUGE AC unit from a window and got it on a dolly and installed a window shade in record time. He was efficient, knowledgeable, polite and ON TIME. I will use Aaron for all my handyman needs.

They were awesome! After a horrible experince with the DT group that I had hired the first tme ( please see the review) This company was a dream! They Tim came the day after the DT group walked off thr job, gave me an estimate, told me what needed to be done and that 2 men could do this job in 4 hours. After several estimates I went with this group and could not be happier. They showed up exactly on time, took the shed off the foundation, made a new, secure grid to lay the floor on, laid the floor, put the shed back on it's foundation ,secured the shed and cleaned everything up in less than 4 hours. the cost came to $200 LESS than the estimate. The workers, Aaron and Ken were professional, efficient, friendly and very careful to make sure everything was done perfect. They cleaned up after themseves. I only wished I had hired them to begin with! I would use them again!

Darrell was extremely professional - calling the night before to confirm, arriving on time, and working diligently. He did a great job with the caulking and was extremely friendly.

We had a really positive experience. Our handyman was running late - morning rush hour traffic! - called to let us know he was running late, and gave us a new approximated time of arrival. We were missing one of the items needed to install the ceiling fan, and he ran out to his truck and used one from his own stash. He was neat, professional, timely, honest, etc. We would certainly use these services again.

They arrived on time and originally I was going to have him add a circuit to my attic fan, but he wasn't able to get into that spot, so instead he switched all my outlets.

Superb service! I purchased the two hours for $79 special, and it was by far the best $79 I've ever spent. Tim showed up on time and worked incredibly fast, and did a wonderful job. I figured it would take more than two hours, but actually took less time. Exceeded my expectations. I definitely will hire them again.

Tim arrived on time and stayed on task. During the course of the work, some additional materials were required and the representative left the job site to purchase the materials, but returned in a timely manner and continued working. He was there for most of the day and finished my entire list of jobs.

We love our finished product! I plan to call again and request Aaron for another job. I used the $79 dollars/ 2 hours of work Angie's list big deal coupon and got a Budget Right Handyman coupon book and used the first coupon of $80 for two hours of work.

Handyman came out, seemed professional and knowledgeable. Gave me quote to build enclosed "cupboard" with sliding doors above front closet coats. Took measurements and said he would call when he got the materials and was ready to come in to install and do the finish work. He also complained about the people who owned the company and said he wasn't happy there. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. I called and was told he had left their employ, Handymen, with a 708 prefix, I think, they were very sorry and would have to send someone else. In the meantime I got another quote from an actual carpenter who said the first quote was outrageous for unfinished work. But the second fellow came out a week to two after that (now it's a month), needed to take his own measurements, which he did, but seemed not to know quite how to perform this simple job. I told him the work would have to wait as I was now busy with my own work and wouldn't be around. He left and maybe a week later the company, owned by a husband/wife, called to schedule the job. Bottom line, I never had them do the work; had it done elsewhere WAY cheaper than the 500-600 I was quoted and it looks great. Because the first price quoted was so high I'd never have them back again, wouldn't trust them to be fair. When I asked if I could have a flat rate instead of an hourly because there were no surprises in this job, they knew exact measurements and no chance of a surprise as they were building basically a box within a box , they said I could have a fixed price but the price would be more.

They were more apt to do the work I wanted done. They addressed some things that were on my to do list. However, I felt they tried to drum up more business.

Budget Right seemed knowledgeable on the call - they provided some advises which were nice. However, when I called back to switch the time of the appointment, it took him a while to look up my appointment as it wasn't on the book! The handyman was here for two days - both times he was late (although he did call to inform us that he will be late). He was here the first day and we walked him through the list that we want him to do. He expressed that some of the stuffs would be hard to do - so he never did it. He took a long time going to Home Depot (about 2 hours) and didn't end up finishing up the work on the first day. I asked him to do some work in my tenant's house but he never made it there. His painting job is sloppy and messy - didn't clean up well after he finished. Very disappointed about the service - even though it is ranked high on the list. I wonder why???

We called and gave an accurate estimate of what needed to be completed. I even went so far as to email a list with exact dimensions of the rooms, the number of doors, and trims that needed painting, drywall patching, HVAC piping insulation, carbon monoxide detector fitting, caulking, etc. i spared no detail. In the end all that did not matter. Because when Matt showed up he was surprised at the amount of work that needed to get done- and that too after an email and a phone call to his boss. At best, the painting was amateurish. There are entire walls that got just one coat with the previous paint showing through. There are areas where the paint has seeped through the painters tape. My wife and I even taped down one of the rooms just so Matt would finish on time. It was an extremely stressful experience baby sitting these guys. My wife and I work full time and barely slept 4 hours a night during the week these guys were working for us. When my wife asked Matt why the paint work was patchy, he asked her if she had painted before! And another guy that came to help with the painting, Keagan, well never really understood what he accomplished. In the end, we settled for just the painting, some caulking, and minor drywall patching. None of the other work was done, none of the power outlet panels were fitted back after painting was competed. My wife and I went around pulling out painters tape, throwing out all the contractors trash bags, and cleaning up the mess. If you value your time and your hard earned money....please stay away from this company. They cashed our checks promptly. Sad. Because I didn't expect to have this experience after signing onto Angie's List. I have flooring work that is pending....don't think I will use Angie's List for that.

I think they are good at their work. The Big Deal was fine, I had them back and I was surprised by the ultimate cost of that service.

Got call from company who gave me an estimate over the phone of the cost, work done well, no complaints.

Aaron arrived on time, was very friendly and focused on completing the work efficiently. He was careful of my property, and cleaned up his work areas when he was done. An overall good experience.

Great company. Will use them again.

We always need a handyman and the half price for two hours was too good to pass up. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember the name of the man that came but he knows what he is doing and did a very good job. My highest recommendation - I'd hire them for my mother's house. In all, a very good option.

Danny came at the time he has said he would. He did a wonderful job and was very nice to work with. He performed the above work in a reasonable amount of time for a fair amount. He worked on the ceiling fans first. One of the fans I got from the lighting store was damaged but he ended up getting it to work well enough so that when the parts arrive, I can just do part of the replacement myself. I also had an issue with my doorbell, not due to him and he came back the next day to reinstall another one at no charge to me. Overall a good experience and would use them again.

With all the positive reviews and the Angie's List deal, I thought I'd give Budget Right Handyman a call to get some of my todos tackled. So, after I purchased the 2 hours for 79$ coupon I sent an E-mail to schedule the work. The next day, I followed up with a phone call and was quickly able to get a hold of someone. I explained the work I wanted to get done, that I purchased the Angie's List deal, and that I wouldn't be able to supervise the work. We were able to schedule the handyman to start the following week before I had to go to work so I could explain all the work that I needed tackled in person. The handyman arrived a little after the agreed upon time at 7am. I showed him all the areas I was interested in getting done and he indicated that it wouldn't be a problem to get them all done within 4 hours (2 hours of which would be taken care of by the coupon). The handyman seemed nice and professional and I felt comfortable that he would do a good job while I was gone. Around lunch time, I called the handy man to follow up how everything went. He had indicated that he wasn't able to do the window due to rain. He indicated that he left a receipt with all the information and that I should contact office if I wanted the window worked on. He also said that the wood of the window he wasn't able to work on was wet and rotten and that I would probably have to replace the whole thing. I was a little surprised but thought to check it out a little closer when I came home that day. When I finally got home, I saw 1) that the handy man had still charged me for the 4 hours even though he had initially told me he could probably get everything done within that time, 2) that he had left a mess in multiple areas including the front yard, back yard, porch, and an another enclosed porch area, 3) that he replaced a window siding piece with a plastic base board which, obviously, looked hideous and unprofessional, and 4) that the wood of the window he didn't work on was bone dry and quite sturdy. In general, I considered the work shoddy and I felt that the handy man lied to me on several points (including taking 4 hours to replace a window sill with a 2x4 and a window siding piece with a plastic baseboard?!). The next day, I contacted the office to complain about the work. The handy man came out that day to clean up his mess, apply some caulk to the plastic baseboard to make it look "better." I was also credited for one hour. So, since the office responded, I'm giving them a D ... otherwise it would have been an F. Needless to say, I'll never use this service provider again. I should also say that I had some professionals look at the window (which the handyman told me would need to be replaced) who indicated that the state of the window is fine and would only require some new metal siding/framing.

Tim did a great job. Got a lot done in a short period of time. Was knowledgeable, versatile and friendly. I could not be happpier ad will definitley use him again

Ken was the person who provided service. He was very thorough and attentive to detail, checking with me frequently to make sure what he was doing was what I wanted. We had a lot of fits and starts because it turned out that my walls were concrete in my old apartment. He was very upfront in telling me that the precision needed for some of my projects would take more time than I wanted to invest in. I would use Budget Right and Ken again.

Fantastic. Very honest and competent. I've never had a bad experience with these guys and will be calling them again.

Overall it was a very good experience.
