+ -1 moreI took advantage of the company's Angie's List special and bought a coupon. My call to them was promptly answered and we set a date for the day I requested. Aaron was prompt and easily installed the air conditioner. Because I had additional time he also fixed some kitchen cabinet doors and relocated a few things from my garage. Aaron is by far the best handyman I've ever had here. He's very precise and extremely contentious about his work. I have not found that to be the case with other handymen who may get the job done, but not done perfectly. He'll be my go to guy from now on.
Description of Work: I needed a unit air conditioner installed and a couple of small household repairs.

The work was quick and excellent. Aaron answered all my questions and I was very happy with the service. He seemed to know what he was doing and I was very pleased with the results. He cleaned up after himself and left everything neat and clean.

He came and figured it out and installed it. It was perfectly something that we would never have done if it wasn’t for him. Not only does he resolve problems but he is also creative.

+ -1 moreHave your work lined up and know what you want to be done before scheduling one. Talk to Tim or whoever you setup appt with to figure out what materials you wil need before the job. Handymen just get the tools needed to do the job, everything else needs to be ready for them before they start the job.
Description of Work: I bought the $79 big deal for 2hrs of work. Worked with Tim to schedule the appt and Ivan came over to do the job, both did an amazing job for accomodating our work in short notice. I had some work lined up - assemble patio furniture, fix the light issue with garage door(when it opens/closes) and exterior lighting in front of house wasnt working and master bath sink was clogged, didnt expect he will do it all, but had some lined up and had material ready(we thought so), just in case. Ivan, got the patio assembled up, fixed hte garage lighting, fixed some lighting in front of the house. As I mentioned I didnt want him to go beyond the 2hrs, he didnt have time to fix the one light in front of house(as he said the fixture is probably non-functional as the rain water seeped in and caused issues) and the water clogging issue in the master bath, he said the P trap need to be removed and new gasket(we didnt have it) needs to be added anytime we remove the P trap. Ivan said he would be happy to schedule another appt, but I wasnt ready, as I really want to have some work lined up, just in case he isnt able to do one, I have a backup. Also, Tim was very helpful to tell/email me the materials I needed for the work I planned(but changed mind later) to get done at the time of the appointment. Overall great people, I will recommend to my friends too and will come back again.

+ 0 moreThe overall jobs were completed in a timely fashion and the individual came prepared to do just as I discussed on the phone with his superior. The only request I would make with the company is to have their guys invest in shoe booties so they have the ability to cover their shoes when walking into customers homes.
Description of Work: The gentleman arrived on time and was ready to work as he walked through the door. He began by first installing a new light fixture. I was amazed at how quickly he was able to take the old one down and get the new one up. He was conscience that he made several marks on the ceiling and immediately requested some 409 and damp towel to clean the marks. I was impressed. He then moved in the master bath where he cleaned and re-caulked the tub. Again he was very aware of making a mess and cleaning up after himself.

+ -1 moreBudget Right Handyman was a little bit rude. He took his time because I guess he only wanted to do that during the two hours he was supposed to be here. So it took him the full two hours he was obligated to be here to install the ceiling fan. He was working slowly. He was not responsive whenever I asked a question. He wasn't very friendly. The ceiling fan was already put together. He only had to install it. He did arrive on time, though. It took him the full two hours just to hook it up. So, the price wasn't bad for two hours of work, but I just wish he gave me two hours of work.

+ -1 moreI scheduled an appointment and Budget Handyman was very flexible with scheduling and the handyman was extremely prompt on the day of my service. I would give this service a higher rating, but I don't think that the handyman who came knew enough about what he was doing to actually do the job. Basically, he spent 1 1/2 hours finding the right circuit breaker, testing one outlet - and failing and then realizing that I need to call an electrician. Now I realize that he might have run into problems, but not to the extent he did. It had to do with the wiring of my home. If he couldn't do the job, he should have said so and saved me my 2 hours for other work. The handyman was very polite and conscientious but he just couldn't do the job I had requeste.
Description of Work: I received an Angie's List special with 2 hours for a handyman for $79. When I called the service, I explained that I needed to have electrical outlets replaced in my kitchen and bathrooms with GFCI outlets - three outlets total. The workman determined - after a lot of analyzing - that the job was too much for him. He did use the remainder of the time performing other jobs that needed to be done, including helping to replace a broken window.

The gentleman that came out was prompt and very knowledgeable. He even offered to to go to the plumbing store for me to get the supplies needed. I have about a 100 year old home, so my plumbing is very old and difficult to work with. But he was able to take care of everything. He took out my old vanity and hauled it out to the garbage area, then installed my new vanity and it looks great. I had a great experience overall with him and the company.

I'm not paying for the conversation -- I'm paying to have the work done fast and right, which is what happened here. Matt also provided coupons for future use and I will likely be using one soon.

After exchanging a few back-and-forth phone messages with the scheduler (who always returned my calls promptly and NEVER sounded like he was exasperated that we weren't connecting) he told me he would send Al out at 8:00 on the morning of the appointment. Al is a treasure - I'll be asking for him from now on and have already recommended him (and his company) to two friends. He was ON TIME, nice, very versatile and very accommodating about all the things I wanted him to do. In fact, he was done with 20 minutes to spare! Dealing with this company in the person of Al was a joy - really! I'm already lining up the next series of tasks I'll need done for the NEXT time I call them!

+ 2 moreHe seems like a nice guy, but I was not at all happy with the speed with which he worked. I don't mind if someone talks to you while they are working. I do mind if the guy stops what he is doing to have a conversation with you while he is wasting your time and money. He moves too slow for me. I also thought that he was fine with really small tasks that I could have done myself but was not very proficient with more complicated issues. This guy had his work cut out for him when he came to my place because I am definitely not easy to please, but he didn't show up with the proper tools, used my ladder and got it filthy dirty, then of course cleaned it on my time. He caulked a shower without letting it dry. All of this equals amateur. Also, he spent a considerable time talking about how good the money is in his line of work. First of all, I do pretty well, so I am not impressed. Second of all, it is inappropriate to talk about how much money you make with the person that pays you. Third of all, shut up and do your work. Bottom line is, if you are not at all good with anything around the house and you need someone to do easy things for you, call them. If you are very handy but don't feel like doing the tasks yourself, go elsewhere because you can do it faster than they can, especially if you have to be home babysitting them while they are there.
Description of Work: He installed a motion light outside, caulked a shower and patched a ceiling. He also installed a light switch and fixed a baseboard.

+ -1 moreOverall it was a very positve experience which began with him arriving a couple of minutes early so I could show him exactly what I wanted done. He then began on most pressing matter, the leaking toilet in the bathroom. I had to go the store to purchase an item for the repair and while I was gone he discovered that a previous handy man had installed my front lights wrong which caused one to break. The handyman then changed out my front light with a rear light and installed two new rear lights for me. When I returned with the item that he needed he finished the toilet repair and then went to the garage to repair an overhead light fixture. He then tinished but before departing he fixed the doorknob leading to the garage which had become loose. I was very happy with all he managed to accomplish in his three hour window.
Description of Work: The Handyman arrived at my house before the sceduled time and was able to complete all the task that I related to him. I asked him to fix my toilet, repair lights in the garage, on the front of the house, and in the back yard, he also fixed a loose door handle in his 3 hour span of time.
