Budget Right Handyman

Nothing happened. I tried calling, left a message and wrote an email with no response. I'd still be willing to use him since I already paid for the service but it is pretty frustrating.

Ken called and said he would be late, which is always appreciated. He was very professional and cleaned up when he was done.

Ivan did a real nice job and was incredibly professional and friendly. He assessed the job and made preparations. He ran to the hardware store to get some additional supplies I hadn't properly planned for ahead of time. Before doing any drilling work he ran his whole plan past me to make sure we were on the same page. Then he completed the work timely and cleaned the entire area up afterwards. Great job. Very pleased with his work.

Matt was wonderful. Showed up on time and was able to accomplish our entire list of odds and ends around the house. Everything he worked on looks great and we have already set up two more dates to have him come back for other projects.

I was a little disappointed. The first time I called them was before I purchased the actual coupon and he said that it would be no problem and he would be here on Friday. All we needed was a handrail attached to a wall, so basically two screws and a piece of wood. I didn't ask for a price because I didn't worry about it, but I did worry about if he could get there or not. He told me no problem and I put it in the calendar. I just needed to have somebody at the property since I was concerned because I have work during the day, but the morning of it they never showed. When I called the office they were a little frazzled and upset at the fact that I called. I guess they had double booked for the day, so instead of admitting that they were wrong they were trying to convince me that I had written the date wrong. I'm a vice president for a company and I don't really write dates wrong. I'll admit if I'm wrong and they could've just said that they made a mistake. I would've accepted that better than him completely backpedaling and making excuses. I said no big deal and asked when could they be there next. He scheduled for the next Thursday, so again I had somebody there at the property. He did the work in like an hour and we paid him for two hours which was fine, so we gave him a tip. I was just really disappointed on their professionalism. I did pick the material, which I was expected to do and it was pretty easy. We had some other little handy work around the house that we needed to have done, but we just kind of let him go at that point once he finished with the handrail. I thought the price was good and basically looked at it as the minimum charge to come out. He was also on time.

I purchased two hours of handyman work from Angie's List Big Deal. Handyman Dirk arrived on time and assessed the job needed to install the stairwell light. The old fixture was poorly mounted so Dirk wanted to make sure the job was done right this time. He told me what part he needed to install the light box properly in the stairwell and even took the extra step of going to a second supply store to get me the part at the right price. I appreciated the work and discussed with Dirk some future jobs for my house.

He was a litte late but no big deal he did call to say he was running late. He installed the pump and that was that. Had no problems with installation wish he could of explained the battery back up a little more in detail but said I would need to read the manual.

The handyman was professional and prompt he worked about 4/hours. I was very pleased with the outcome. Thanks Angie's List

Darren showed up on time, was courteous, responsive and completed all the repairs perfectly.

Aaron K. arrived 10-15 minutes earlier than the appointment time which was a pleasant surprise. He surveyed the work items and gave a approximate time estimate to avoid any surprises. He then made a list of items that were needed so I can go and get while he started his work. He worked continuously for about 6 hours. He also did a couple of small jobs that were not originally estimated. He did his job professionally, and also cleaned up after the job was complete. Overall, I am very satisfied with his work.

Aaron was punctual and very informative. He explained everything and gave suggestions and did an excellent job. Everything was done well.

Service was great - friendly, helpful, got the work done efficiently. Was about 15minutes late, but called and let me know so it wasn't a big deal at all. Huge help in getting some thigns done that have been needing attention for a while! Will definately use again. . . .

I would have given this provider an F grade except for the fact that he did actually install 4 shades and they were installed well so that is something. To give you some context though I had requested 10 shades be installed (or re-installed) and had taken pains to explain that some creative modification would be needed because some of the shades were ever so slightly larger than the window frames. I had previously installed the exact same shades (different color) in the windows some 9 years earlier and it took me--a petite woman--about 4 hours to install 8 shades. This guy did so much talking and talking and talking about how the shades were to large for the windows (no kidding! tell me again!) that it took him 5 hours to install 4 shades. I had also asked him to uninstall and re-install cordless roman shades from Pottery Barn in my baby's room because I had done it mayself and wasn't strong enough to get the brackets screwed in close the frame. He refused to do it saying he wouldn't be able to get the brackets any closer, which is just outright wrong. Really it was just the end of his 5 hour day and he wanted to leave. So, basically, I paid $200 and had some guy at my house take 5 hours to install the 4 window shades that I could have done myself (they were the ones that fit the frame perfectly). It was a complete waste of time and money. I am now going back to my other, more expensive handyman found on Angie's List (Andrew Connolley) because he will at the very least do what I ask him to do.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was awesome! They were here actually yesterday and completed all the work.

He was terrific. In fact, he solved the problems that we wanted solved. In addition to that, we had a couple of things from Akai that we had to assemble. They were ridiculous and were not simple to assemble but he came in and he assembled those for us. I don’t think anybody but him could have done it. So he went above and beyond what we wanted.

It was very good. They were great and the guy wasn't briefed correctly on what his scope of the work was of what he coming to do but when he got there he could do it and for the time that we allocated he did a really good job. He knew his business and we were happy with the results so I don't know if there were any negative areas to improve on.

Bidget Right Handyman only did part of the work. I wish he would call me because I need it finished but he never called me back. He was supposed to come back and do some scenic work, he said it was going to rain so he was going to call me to schedule that, but he never called.

The installer was really nice and very knowledgeable. He explained what I needed to know, was very careful and attentive in the installation and very friendly.

The repairman completed what I thought was a difficult installation job efficiently and professionally. He arrived late because of a flat tire but called to inform me. After completing the job, he was stuck with having to call road service. In talking with the repairman, I was told that Budget Right uses outside servicemen, not employees, and are sticklers for quality. If they find someone falls short, they are not retained. I highly recommend Budget Right.

The first visit went very well and I ws happy to purchase their coupons that was good for discount work for one year. The second visit by a different person didnt go as well because the handyman came with an uncharged drill and did not complete the work that I wanted. In addition he took some of the tools that I has purchased for the job and I was unable to have the work completed myself

Very pleased with the service. Prompt, professional and competent. Would recommend and use Budget Rite again!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. They came on time and did what they were supposed to do. There were no extra charges. Actually, I didn't meet the guy, there was somebody else who was at the house.
