Budget Right Handyman

It went very well. I believe my appointment was for 8:00 a.m. I happened to look out of my window at 7:50 and he was sitting there in his truck, at 8:00 sharp he rang the bell, came in introduced himself and asked me what I wanted done. I had a list, his asked me to prioritize and I did. He took necessary measurements, I met him at Home Depot to get the supplies, he came back to my home and went right to work. He was very professional, even pointed out a few "other" things that I might consider correcting. At the end of the day he cleaned up after himself and went home. It was a great experience and yes I will be hiring this company again .

Easy to set up, right on time, did a great job. They also have a construction side of their business, so I was able to ask his opinion on some other bigger projects that I wasn't sure how to approach or whether they'd be within the company's abilities if I booked them for longer. They all will be, so I'll definitely be using them again.

Arrived on time, with all tools and ready to go. Work was done quickly, and Tim even noticed that I had an issue with my sink that I had not mentioned when making the appointment (broken built-in soap dispenser) and fixed that as well without my asking! I will definitely be calling them again for those pesky tasks that are just too much for my DIY experience and tools on hand.

Aaron arrived on-time, assessed the job, and got the additional materials he needed. He installed the post taking good care to position it well, and cleaned up after the job was finished. The original estimate was for as many as four hours, but even digging out the old concrete he did the job in two and did it well. He provided receipts for the materials upon completion. I couldn't be more pleased.

He arrived on time, called before apptmt to confirm, he checked my broken window, asked me to buy certain parts from the window store I bought the window from and went over what he will do to fix the issue. He was patient, he answered all of my questions. He was professional and courteous.

I bought the deal on Tuesday 9/3, and provided 3 possible days and times for the work to be done. The handyman was supposed to contact me by the end of the day Thursday. On Friday I got an email asking me to call him to talk about the project and schedule a time. This surprised me because I had already given 3 possible times. I called Friday around noon and left a message. I have not heard back since then. I don't really feel like calling again and again. I feel that I've already paid my money and shouldn't have to chase someone who's already been paid.

The man that came out was very nice, but I was not overly impressed w/ the amount of service that he completed in the time that he was here. I only have one other "handyman" service to compare it to. But I had bought another deal for 2 hrs of handyman work & 2 guys came out & got through tons of stuff on my list. When this handyman came, it took him quite awhile to do one job & then barely had time to help w/ the others. Again, I'm not an expert, so I don't know if that's the norm, but compared to what I had experienced before, I was a little disappointed.

Aaron was excellent. He showed up exactly on time and even called 5 minutes before his arrival. What I really liked is that he gave me great advice about the things I wanted done and gave me recommendations on how to improve what I wanted done to make the aesthetics look better. It was obvious that he was very skilled around a very wide range of areas. He also performed everything quicker than I was expecting. Overall I couldn't be happier and will be using Budget Right Handyman for all of my future needs, and more specifically will be using Aaron.

It was difficult to schedule a time for the handyman to come out to recaulk the tub. I had to call three different times until someone returned my call and set up a date and time and gave advice as to the type and brand of caulk to purchase for the handyman's use. At approximately 25 minutes before my scheduled appointment, the handyman called to say he couldn't make it due to Friday afternoon traffic and previous job commitments which ran longer than expected. This was upsetting to me because I had to take time off work to accommodate this scheduled appointment. He noticed disappointment in my voice and suggested early the following Sunday morning, which worked perfectly for my schedule. The workmanship was fine. I don't know if I would hire again because of the last-minute cancellation. I question this service provider's reliability and ability to accommodate a sudden high volume of business generated by the Angie's List deal.

Aeron (yes, that's how it's spelled) called before he arrived and arrived early. That's a big plus. This was part of a two hour special through Angie's List. I'd asked Aeron to replace the kitchen faucet and fix a leaky toilet. I had no idea where the toilet leak was, but Aeron found it right away. Also, he noticed that the pipes under the kitchen sink needed to be replaced, so he added that to his to do list. He did all of this in two hours. He was extremely professional, went right to work, and cleaned up after he was finished. I had some questions about a potential rehab I have in mind for both kitchen and bathroom. On this he was very knowledgeable and helpful. All in all a great experience. I will definitely use Budget Right again, and ask for Aeron specifically.

Very nice handyman, very informative, did a good job, only problem was speed. It took too long and he did not complete the job.

I wanted a knife block custom cut to fit inside my kitchen drawer. My handyman did not have the right saw to cut it properly, so I let him take it somewhere (a mill?) to have it cut to size. He said he would have it back to me in a week. A month and a half later I had to call several times to hunt it down. They did respond after all the calls and return it, but there were no apologies or explanations offered of why it was so late. Besides that everything went fine. Hopefully it was just a mistake, but I thought it was a bit unprofessional.

very well. Ivan came in and took off his shoes ( brownie point) . calmly listen to all the details. went to pick up materials at Home depot and then started to work. He did not leave a mess and was careful. He advised me on what other things I should be doing that where for other specialists. I'm glad he did not try to look into something that he had no knowledge and appreciated his candidness. First time that a handyman actually impressed me. it was just right.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out well. Everything was satisfactorily done.

Fantastic job. Very helpful in fixing all the small issues we had around the house. Saved us a lot of money by fixing a leaky faucet on the outside of the house.

Aaron did a great job on multiple jobs.

The installer was very thorough and professional. The company added an extra $20.00 fee to the service I contracted for because I live in Du Page County rather than Cook County. I think this is a ridiculous distinction. The company is based in Oak Park, IL., and travels to areas in south Cook County that are many many miles further than my location in Lombard, IL.

The representative was on time and very professional. He made all of the repairs efficiently and did a great job!

The workman arrived on time and corrected all electrical issues.

He fixed some drywall cracks, fixed a loose faucet, put together a firepit and filled in some paint chips in a door jam.

Matt was scheduled to arrive between 8 and 8:15. He called to let me know that it would probably be 8:30 due to traffic. He did arrive by 8:30 and got right to work. All of the work was done quickly and professionally. If he had questions or needed clarification, he would ask me before proceeding with the work. After dismantling the loft beds, he carried them down to a storage closet for me. Most of the work was done by 11:30. I scheduled another work day for him to come back and finish up, which he did. Again, he was on time and the work was done in a few hours.
