Budget Right Handyman

After waiting over a week to receive a call from the company - the first handyman called an cancelled just before he was scheduled to arrive - I had to call for another appointment. I rated the Responsiveness to my request low because I had emailed the company, and finally had to call. I spoke to Matt who assured me that he would send someone out the next day. He still had the information as to what was needed. Juan was the handyman that came the next day. I'm not sure if all the handymen are as helpful as Juan or if I just lucked out. He did a excellent job on a difficult situation. He removed the hood above the stove and cut the old cabinet to fit the new microwave. It came out better than I had hoped for. I was completely satisfied with his work. I will definitely use Budget Right Handyman again and will ask for only Juan to do the job.

I purchased a coupon for 2 hours of handyman work. I was contacted within 2 business days as promised to schedule an appointment. Jeff arrived on time. Professional and easy going. Took care of shaving down 3 doors ( had carpeting installed last week) and cleaning the grout around the tub. Very clean and thorough. Had an excellent experience. Will definitely call them again in the future.

Our service provider was early to arrive for the appointment. He was courteous and very nice guy. Very conscience of the two hour window. He was able to re-install our storm door even after he ran into several road blocks. Wished I was able to schedule more time for that day. I will definitely use again!

The provider showed up on time. I guess the time on the clock started as soon as he walked through the door. For 2 hours he could have done more work if he didn't take so many phone calls during his time at my home.

It was great. I will continue to use them. The price was great.

They came out and looked at the job in his opinion they did not do the type of work I needed done. They were very professional and nice.

Work completed: toilet and garbage disposal replaced. I purchased the two hour Angie's List Big Deal for $94 & purchased an additional 2 hours, from the vendor, for $80. I received a quick response and listed the items I wanted to have completed (check of toilet, garbage disposal and moldy wood in two bathrooms), since I felt it necessary to have the worker with me during the purchase of the item to be replaced I requested an additional two hours to allow for our trip to Home Depot. Grand total of 4 hours of work @ $174. The person who responded to my phone call was polite and helped me think through what I needed. | |The worker arrived a few minutes early, assessed the situation and provided information on what needed to be done (replacement of toilet and garbage disposal and application of some solution for the moldy wood). We traveled to Home Depot to get the parts (replacement toilet & garbage disposal and solution for the wood) & he quickly got to work when we returned to my condo. | |During the first task - replacing the garbage disposal - he noticed a crack in one of the pipes and stated it would be necessary to replace the part & had to go back to Home Depot. He was ready to leave then but I asked that he complete the replacement of the toilet before leaving to get the part from Home Depot. My concern being he would need to make another trip to Home Depot if something went wrong with the replacement of the toilet. | |Luckily the toilet replacement was uneventful. | |I give an A for the work but would need to take a grade off for the overall experience. My overall grade of B is based on the following: after completing the toilet replacement the worker left to get the pipe to complete the garbage disposal replacement; called to tell me that the Home Depot did not have the part I needed & it was necessary to go to a different location & it would take longer than he anticipated to return (a similar situation was mentioned by another reviewer). With nearly two hours still left I felt confident the additional work would be completed without issue. By the time the worker returned I had less than 30 minutes left. He replaced the cracked pipe and began one more item before time ran out. I completely understood that he would not be able to complete this task but did not understand the worker not being able to take the old toilet and old garbage disposal to the dumpster outside my condo (on the premises). He expressed his concern with getting to his next appointment. While I understand and appreciate his need / want to be on time for the next appointment I was a bit disappointed that it was necessary for me to ask him to remove the item before he left. He was literally at the door & leaving when I asked if he was just going to leave the toilet. | |The removal of the toilet and garbage disposal was done, quickly & with my help but the circumstances are noteworthy if the alternative would be a female carrying a 60+ pound toilet, anywhere, on her own & lifting it up to toss into the Dumpster. Another noteworthy item - after the worker left I noticed a part of the old toilet in my living room (the tank) and another part in the hallway outside the bathroom (the top of the tank), when I returned upstairs to the bathroom. | |Again I give an A for the work but a B for the overall experience. As this was my first time using this handy man service I did not realize it would be necesary for me to build in a few minutes for clean up and disposal of any trash. | |My suggestion to others build in a few minutes for clean up & disposal. Also, if it is necessary for the worker to leave to get additional parts please have all work, that can be completed, completed before they leave & any trash, that can be disposed of, disposed of at that time. | |If I had those suggestions before hand I would have had a different experience. |

I asked serviceman to hang 4 shelves, install toilet paper roll holder and fix front door lock. He did none of those things. I essentially paid him to come out and measure for blinds.

Today was the fourth time we have had Budget Right Handyman come out in the last two months or so. Three of those times, the service was provided by Ken. Again today, he was prompt, efficient, and friendly, He does good work and the price is quite reasonable. Thanks again, Ken!

Mr. Leon did a good job fixing my door frame and lock replacement. He was polite and honest.

Brad did an excellent job and was totally prepared to do the work at hand. He replaced the 2 defective posts with 2 new posts and applied cement to anchor the new posts then put the fence back up and finally re-attached the door.

Aaron showed up on time and immediately went to work installing a back-up sump pump that I had purchased. Just like my initial appointment with him. He explained everything that he was doing and answered a lot of laymen questions about the pump and how it should work. Once installed he tested the back-up system and showed me how it worked. Great experience overall from a superb handyman. I am compiling a list of various other jobs for Aaron to do. I feel very fortunate to have found such a well rounded handyman.

Nick came out and was able to fit the bi-fold door into an uneven door frame for us. He replaced an electrical outlet for us that had been smoking and could have caught our house on fire. Our laundry room door was difficult to close. He was able to fix the door so that it opens and closes very smoothly. We have recommended this service to a few of our friends and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Budget Right came over and replaced three windows. Service went great.

Nick showed up promptly and was able to do almost everything that we asked and he did it well. We are very happy with his work. He was professional and meticulous! We would have liked for him to stay to do a couple of other things that were not completed but he was assigned an additional call and had to leave. It is important to note that he was at our home for six hours before he had to leave. Thanks Nick!

It went very well. I have used other handymen services and was always disappointed. Budget Right Handyman was excellent and they have completely changed my opinion of these services. It was easy to schedule an appointment and someone answered when I called and got me scheduled for the same week. Aeron K. arrived on time (he even called to say he could come early which was fine with me) and reviewed the work I wanted done. He quickly got to work on the projects and finished on-time. He was courteous and thoughtful enough to remove his shoes which I didn't require. All of the work was done very well. The kitchen wall cabinet was a challenge and after speaking with Aeron we decided it would be better to have a return visit to take care of this as it is a larger problem than I thought. I also spoke with Aeron about a return visit to handle several other repairs and I look forward to Budget Right Handyman taking care of the work. Thanks!

We are pleased with the results. When have used Budget Right Handyman in the past, so when we needed to have some work done, we immediately thought of them. They are very responsive to your needs and scheduled an appointment within a week's time. Ken Farris arrived on time, is very professional and knowledgeable. We purchased a kitchen faucet with sprayer. He installed it - now no more leaking problems! He also installed the curtain rods to our specifications; and installed a stairwell banister (an existing banister was being reinstalled).

I would highly recommend this service provider. They did a great job. Their pricing is very reasonable.

I turned on the faucets and found the top of the hot tap so loose that I knew something was wrong. Then a bit later, after cleaning under the sink, I realized there was some significant leaking going on. I left a message for Bob right away and he called back the next day. We set another time for him to return. It was a loose faucet that was causing all the leaking. I might have thought this could have been double checked so a second visit wouldn't be required.

This vendor is not reliable. An appointment was made and cancelled in the morning without justification. It was problematic since a stove was to be delivered that day. The time was rescheduled. The vendor did not come or call.

ying.he plastered the messed up walls and replaced the rotten wood.if the plaster had not taken so long to dry,the job would have been shorter. he had to return the next day because of the plaster not drying.

The service provided arrived on time... however, he kept taking breaks to answer his phone. At one point he even left my house to go to his car and talk on the phone. He worked at a very slow pace and he did an extremely poor job. When I informed him of his work he got an attitude and stated to me they have the right to refuse service. He heard me on my the phone talking about his work, and stated i don't disrespect him and stated for me to call Angie's list and request a refund. I speak in another language and was talking on my phone and he stated to me that i cant do that in which i found rude. He can't tell i cant speak in my native language. He slam the tape on the table got his things and left.

I am very satisfied and would like to recommend the services of Budget Right Handyman.

Hung pictures on the walls and fixed knob on a pull out door. The man that was here did excellent work and was professional. Would hire again and recommend -- assuming the cost was affordable.
