Budget Right Handyman

We called, arranged date of service. On date of service Budget Right's Matt called to change the date to the following day because he was "too busy that day" to make it. Could we re-schedule for the following day at 2:30? Yes, that will be fine! Matt called the next day (of service) Can we change the time to 3:30 instead? Yes, we'll be here. Matt called about 4:30. Hey, I'm stuck in traffic and then I have to go and... Do you want to re-schedule? I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday open. Matt: I'll have to check back with you when I get home. Okay. Budget Right never called back. We put the air conditioner in ourselves. We do still need handy man work done. Can we apply our coupon to another 2 hours with someone else? Pete call me asking to come early if he can, luckily for me the earlier the better. Pete was able to fix the sink and install the range hood, and had time to do install smoke detector and check a ceiling fan that was acting up on me.

It was three hours work but I had a coupon for two hours so I only had to pay for one hour The job was well done and in a more than reasonable time. I could not be more pleased. My painter was Pete who apparently does other things as well.

This is our second experience with Budget Right Handyman, and we'll keep coming back to them. Our scheduling was difficult due to coordination with neighbors, but BRH worked with us to lock in an appointment time that would work. We appreciate the fact that this company sets actual appointment times instead of two or three hour windows where you're held captive waiting. And they show up on time. The light fixtures were installed cleanly, and everything works fine. Very nice. And the whole thing only took an hour. We weren't thrilled about a 100-watt bulb being left on in a 60-watt fixture all day, but at least it was brought to our attention. The bulb was swapped out immediately once someone was available to do it that evening.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for 2 hours of handyman setvices. He got a lot done in those two hours but in retrospect, the work was bit shoddy. The caulk was roughly applied and I ended up diggingit out and redoing it myself, the trim didn't meet quite right and again, I ended up redoing parts of it myself.

The serviceman was punctual (early!), pleasant, and helpful

I bought a pre-packaged set of hours and could not get their calendar to line up with mine so had to find other provider. They were nice about wanting to help but their waiting time was too long for me as I needed to get my house ready to go on the market.

He was on time, good to deal with and focused well on his work. Very good quality work.

Pete did a great job. He worked hard, moved along fast, did everything and more than i asked of him. He was very pleasant and professional. I will definitely call them again and recommend them to my family and friends.

So very happy with the work that was done this morning! I've been without under cabinet lights in the kitchen for a year and now it's beautiful. He did a few more small but urgent projects for me and I'm thrilled to have them all off my "honey do" list! Will call them again in a heartbeat to do more work.

We need drywall replaced from 3 walls in a room. Contacted the provider, they responded in timely manner with no issues. They had some questions and requested pictures of the room - all of the above was provided. We liked their price and were about to schedule with them. However, In the last email with the final estimate, they asked us why we need to remove the drywall. I did explain to them is because of bad paint that was put on 3 months ago. At this moment they cancelled on us. I called them and spoke to one of their rep. The response I got was - we are not interested, good bye. I hanged up the phone on them. I understand they are not obligated to do business with anyone. I understand they have the right to pick the jobs they do. However, They should have a list of things they don't do or at least ask all of their questions in the beginning. I guess what I am trying to say is - have a backup plan when working with this provider.

Absolutely wonderfully. Tom was punctural, informative and very helpful. He completed what was needed within the alloted time. We left the area neat and clean and provided helpful suggestions. \If I could afford it I would hire them to do all my household repairs. He even doubled checked with his company on additional work that I needed to have done to see if the company would provide that particular service. I was very impressed and satisfied with the employee. He gave me information about purchasing a new cupboard section and sized up and explained another dry wall repair project. I will contact the company for the follow up work.

I sent them 22 images of what needed to be done, and they sent a plumber that had no idea about the pictures I sent. He didn't turn the gas line before starting the work -- he'd assumed that we had turned the gas line off prior to his arrival.

The guy arrived on time, did a very professional job and offered to come back if there were any problems. I would defiantly recommend them.

I had two hours to fill and lots of potential projects for Ken, the handyman sent out, to do. He walked me through what would be involved in each instance and I decided to go with the most urgent. Ken gave me good ideas on how to handle the other problems in the future. He was thorough, polite, and hard working. I?d hire him again, no problem.
