Budget Right Handyman

Everything went so well that I called and used the company again the following week.??? Both times I was very happy with their work. I will use them again.

The company was responsive and asked specific questions about the jobs we have, and scheduled someone to come at our earliest convenience, which was a Saturday. We were glad to not have to take a day off work to have the work done. On the day of service, the repair person called about half an hour before she was scheduled to arrive to say she was running about 30 minutes behind due to a previous job going longer than anticipated. It was no problem, because we were home for the day but we appreciated her letting us know. Once she arrived we went over the jobs we have and determined which were doable in one afternoon. She then went straight to work repairing some windows with broken sash cords, and she really knew what she was doing. Our house is old and the windows were constructed with tiny hidden nails, and had delicate pieces of cut wood that fit together intricately. She was extremely careful in taking the windows apart to protect the delicate wood pieces. It was a painstaking process - if we had attempted it ourselves we would surely have destroyed the window. She replaced the broken sash cords, reassembled the windows and cleaned up after herself. Removing the microwave was a much quicker task and she had it out in no time. She repaired the wall and again, cleaned up after herself. She was also delightful to have around - friendly and a good sense of humor. We would definitely use this service again.

I still use Budget Right Handyman. Fantastic. The staff is very good, they are responsive, I would definitely recommend them. They let you know who they are. I use them very regularly to fix things. I will totally have them back. They were here last in December.

They were fine. The work was done on our condo in Chicago. They are nothing great, but they are OK.

Dave was very friendly, professional, and well informed of his trade. I would absolutely use this company, specifically Dave, again.

He came out on time and patched the wall just fine. But where I was told it would be left 'paint ready', it was not. It still had a green patch over where the new dry wall was added. There was also a lot of dust everywhere (I asked them to try and cover everything because this was in my kitchen but maybe this is hard to prevent?) Overall it was fine but could've been done better if they paid attention to minor details.

I had set up an appointment for a day last week to hang two shelves. I described the weight of the shelves (60 pounds) and discussed whether they felt they could hang shelves this heavy in drywall. I had to cancel due to a work emergency. I called today to reschedule and Matt asked again about the size of the shelves. When I advised that they were 58 inches long we agreed that it might take two people to hang them. Then for the first time he said that they require a minimum of 2 hours of work for each person, so did I have other projects that they could do in the house. He refused to send two men for one hour to hang the shelves. DO NOT TAKE THE DEAL FOR $110 FOR 2 HOURS OF WORK. There is a catch and they will slam you for double the price if your job involves heavy or large items that require two people to manipulate. Such a disappointment.

The workman, Mario, was very friendly and did a very good job. His trip to pick up supplies at the store was very brief, and he seemed to know what he was doing.

David Federici was AWESOME!!! Very nice and great at his job. Would absolutely use the service again.

Excellent service, friendly, prompt, professional. Someone responded to my initial email request within 24 hours, and was able to set up an appointment for the next day. I did not need any emergency services, just various odds and ends, repairs that we were looking to get done for our condo common areas. The technician (Tim) was able to come early, get everything we needed done completed within the 2 hour minimum, and he did a great job. Also he was a super nice guy, highly knowledgeable, and though he had a full schedule for the day, made me feel that I was a priority, as opposed to making me feel like I was being squeezed in with a bunch of other visits. He took his time and did the jobs right, tasks included planing a non-compliant outer door that wouldn?t shut all the way, various hard to reach light fixtures (changing bulbs) and repairing a small storage gate.The time and money were both well spent, and as a building manager, I would absolutely use again in the future.

Job went well and I am pleased. The worker actually took the initiative to remove and replace the caulking around the bathroom sink after noticing it was loose (I neglected to put that information in my initial work order).

Everything on my list was completed and the work was very good.

Tim was great! Personable efficient and honest!

Mr. Hobson was very professional, thorough, and neat. Although he tried to get the back up sump pump going, I had a dead battery, so he explained precisely what I needed to do. He even suggested places to obtain a battery already filled with acid. The back up sump pump was the job I hired him for. I added on the bathroom faucet and there were no issues with the add on; he gladly accepted the extra work. I would absolutely recommend him and I will definitely use him in the future for my plumbing needs. I give him an A+!!!

Tim was very professional , respectful ,and polite. He was clean at his work space and followed through with his directives and tasks easily.

Good job by Elaine installing new rod and staining door. She was very meticulous in preparing the area to be stained. Seems very knowledgeable.

Did the toilet job and fixed a hanger thing on my window..did a great job..very professional..on time and neat.

I would use this company again and gladly recommend them. Specifically, I would seek out Elain, who was knowledgeable, quick,and happy and willing to explain the repair process for each of the services she completed. Elain also took care to lay down materials so as to prevent mess and allow for easy cleanup, a much appreciated gesture. She came prepared with all the tools needed to complete the job. I am pleased with how responsive and accommodating the company was in providing me the appointment time I needed, and impressed with the professionalism of its staff, as demonstrated by Elain throughout the visit. I will contact this company again when needed.

Every thing went very well. They arrived on time, did the job very carefully, explained what they were doing and cleaned after the job was done. Excellent!

The carpenter looked at the kitchen door and the surrounding area. He said he did not see where the leak was coming from. He asked me to sign the work papers that included the charges. Then he begin to discuss repairing the minor job of replacing the stripping. I told him that I couldn't sign the papers if he was unable to do the main job which was to stop the leak. I told him I would pay him something for inspecting and having come out. He used a step stool and looked at the light fixture outside above the door. He commented that the fixture was sealed tightly and that he did not see where the leak could be coming from. He noted that it could be water coming in behind the siding, but there was no water spot on the inside wall above the door to indicate that this was the problem. He said the company would refund me the initial $110, but charge me $25 for the visit. I talked with a dispatch person in the office to confirm that nothing else could be done and to confirm the charge. The dispatch person confirmed both. I was disappointed at having a $25 charge for no work and no diagnosis.

David was the repairman who came out. Nice, professional and quickly fixed the door to my satisfaction. He replaced short screws with longer ones, then checked both sides of the door, opening and closing it several times. The door closes normally now. I would use this company again.

Same as above, tis has nothing to do with the service, but I did not note or see it had expired. I also do not remember that Angie's list sent me a reminder email that the service I purchased even had an expiration date

First installer put the stor door handle and lock on upside down. Had them make a second service call to correct it. 1/30/2016. The reason I had an installer put in our new storm door was to take some of the burden off of my husbands chore list. Thought it would be an amazing thoughtful idea. Three weeks after install the original installer who was asked if he knew how to install Larson storm door said he had just done one 2 weeks earlier. The installer left a box after he was done of uninstalled items. When my husband looked at the parts and the instructions the installer never put the door up correctly. To fix the paid for install my husband will have to take down the entire storm door to install the remaining uninstalled parts from Budget Right Handyman. I called their number and to no surprise never recieved a call back. I can not recommend this company or the installer.
